Helps me focus and grow, without extra work

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish has been a quiet win not only for our leaders and strategic decision makers but also for me as an engineer. It gives clear insights into how we work, what are the focus areas, strengths and improvement potentials, AI impact, and how we compare to various benchmarks. What I really like is how it even connects my work to broader goals, which is motivating. And since everything’s automated, I can stay focused on coding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes a bit to get used to the visibility, but it’s worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish solves the problem of visibility and alignment, and it also helps me see how my work contributes to broader goals.

What do you like best about the product?
The Teams feature is especially helpful—it makes all important sprint and team-related data easily accessible in one place. It provides great visibility into team performance, and it’s really nice to see AI adoption stats across the company. This helps track progress and alignment with broader tech trends. The application is easy to use, I don't have look around too much to find what I'm looking for. I use it on a weekly bases for my reports. Jellyfish academy is a nice addition.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Activity Recap in the People menu doesn’t seem very useful or actionable. Benchmarks sometimes lack context, which makes interpretation tricky. Also, some data seems incorrect—or I’m just a really high performer compared to the rest of the company. It's a little annoying that it only updates the data daily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I collect data from Jellyfish for my weekly reports as a Scrum lead.

great tool for insights across developer experience, planned work and unplanned priorities

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Jellyfish offers visibility, alignment, and planning clarity which is all critical for multi-team leadership. It gives great views for visibility, investment breakdowns, and drill-downs at the granular even possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the volume and streams of data access it has, its lack of AI-powered narratives, role-specific insights, and planning guidance and at-risk reporting holds it back to being a tool beyond just a data tool . You want a tool that doesn’t just surface metrics - it tells you what to pay attention to and what action to consider. Adding a strategy lens to the data could be super helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish solves the problem of poor visibility into engineering effort, alignment, and team health. engineering leaders benefit by helping rebalance workloads, defend platform investment, onboard managers and engineers faster, and spot execution drifts early without micromanaging.

What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish allows the user to easily highlight areas for improvement. The information itself has high value, but how Jellyfish presents it is the multiplier factor.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have comparative metrics among the team members from different perspectives, including the classic user points.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't understand the question, I prefer not to answer.

What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish enables smarter decisions, faster execution, and greater confidence in managing technology initiatives through a seamless, AI-enhanced experience. It is easy of use througt the several number of features that has. The integration is also easy to set and it falicilitates that the users increment the frequency of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
To obtain benefits from Jellyfish is required a lot of time to ensure the correct implementation. But after all, the tool works alone and the customer support is faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its greatest strength lies in how it leverages artificial intelligence to optimize project cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. This capability allows leaders and teams to make informed, timely decisions based on reliable and dynamic data.

What truly stands out is the platform’s ability to simplify complex information and transform it into actionable insights. Generating reports for strategic, tactical, and operational audiences is not only fast but also incredibly intuitive. This makes Jellyfish a valuable tool for organizations aiming to align technology investments with business objectives and improve visibility across their project portfolios.

Great too that offers lots of visibility into my Dev costs

What do you like best about the product?
Great Dashboards and also ways to customize my reports. Integration into Jira and Github
What do you dislike about the product?
In my case, it is a minimal thing. When calculating my Capitalizable percentages, they are based on FTE instead of cost, and I can't change that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into where my investment in Dev is being spent

Jellyfish Effectiveness in Action

  • June 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the way I can see analysis of data from Jira and GitHub. It helps me keep my teams moving at a consistent pace, and easily see when things are off target. I can see our commitment dates and how we are tracking toward them, as well as see our past performance which helps identify trends the teams are experiencing. Additionally, this helps us identify and discuss opportunities to improve our process.

Jellyfish is easy to use, and I use it daily. There is a learning curve, but once you spend a short amount of time playing in it, you can easily find what you want and need. It allows me to drill down into metrics to see team performance, individual performance, how much time is focused on specific work, and sooo much more!!

Jellyfish has allowed me to really make my teams better at moving work from beginning to completion in a timely manner. Their productivity has increased so much, and they are happier as a result.
What do you dislike about the product?
It updates only once a day, so data is always a bit delayed and not quite accurate. It also thinks that stories that were cloned are carried over from the original sprint where they were created, which interferes with sprint predictability metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We never had visibility into how we were tracking against our quarterly commitments, and now we have insight into that just a few clicks away.

What do you like best about the product?
As an engineering leader, I’ve seen how Jellyfish has transformed the way we work. We've significantly improved alignment with Product and Finance teams, enabling better tracking and decision-making. Since adopting Jellyfish, our team performance has increased by around 30%, and project delivery has become more consistent and predictable. It also gives us real visibility into team health—velocity, cycle time, and more, so we can continuously improve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jellyfish has been a game-changer for our engineering organization. Honestly, there's nothing I dislike about the tool, it’s intuitive, insightful, and consistently adds value. It just works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps us solve the lack of visibility into engineering work and team capacity. It connects engineering efforts with business priorities, which improves communication with Product and Finance. As a result, we’ve seen better project delivery rates, improved team performance (around 30% increase), and a more data-driven approach to managing team health and productivity.

Developer Insights are useful for kicking off good conversations with my team
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally runs into data bugs or sync issues

Lack of visibility into engineering work – Jellyfish gives me a clear, real-time view of what my team is working on, so I can make better decisions and stay aligned with goals.

Difficulty tracking team health and DevEx – The DevEx module helps me keep tabs on developer experience and spot potential burnout or bottlenecks early.

Slow feedback loops – With quick access to key metrics, I can course-correct faster and give more timely, data-backed feedback to my team.

Unstructured or subjective 1:1s – Developer Insights give me a helpful starting point for more productive, focused conversations.

Hard to justify engineering efforts to stakeholders – The reporting and visualizations make it easier to communicate impact to leadership in a way that’s backed by data.
