Boosts Team Efficiency with Room for Improvement

  • September 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Jellyfish helps us track sprint velocity and provides metrics that improve our team's understanding and performance better than other metrics from Jira. The team page is also valuable, as it shows essential data about our work's pace, completion, and effort distribution, which enhances our process insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think we can rely more on the Jira status because nowadays, Jellyfish relies heavily on GitHub manifests. We have a good process where we follow the status of the tickets, so it would be beneficial if Jellyfish incorporated more of this. This would allow us to have additional metrics that we currently don't have, like the time spent in QA. Additionally, it would improve our ability to get better numbers related to our processes, enabling better control over how we manage each step. This limitation prevents us from fully capitalizing on the benefits of our established processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jellyfish to track sprint velocity and understand team improvements better than Jira, seeing metrics that show where our efforts go, such as product evolution and technical debt. It helps us rely more on GitHub data and easily access ticket progress.

Effortless AI Usage Tracking with Minor Hiccups

  • September 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy and straightforward Jellyfish is to use, with a UI and user experience that's very clear and precise. It's efficient in tracking AI usage and gives a descriptive yet clear view of data. I really appreciate how I can see my team's AI usage in real-time, which is very helpful. The setup was also very easy to understand, despite not having formal training on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI usage doesn't get tracked properly, even if it's used continuously for many hours or a full day. I've noticed this happens rarely, like once a month, but it's still frustrating when the entire AI usage data is skipped.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jellyfish to track employees' AI usage across multiple coding agents like Copilot and Cursor, giving us a clear view of usage by department. It solves the problem of improper tracking by providing real-time AI usage data, making the process easy and straightforward.

The platform is easy-to-use and intuitive, but the data is far from useful

  • September 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish is easy enough to use. The first time I used it I could figure out how to get the data I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've only used Jellyfish once or twice, because data is very hard to decipher and act upon. Benchmarks and data points are not clear even after talking to Jellyfish implementation consultant. Integrations are also a bit of a black box, as it's not clear what's the logic behind categorizing different Jira tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm trying to benchmark the productivity of the team that I work in

Jellyfish

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A lot of statistics in one place, easy access to statistics from multiple sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of potentially harmful metrics. To be honest, I think that metrics like: lines of code/number of PRs and so on are not so useful and can be harmful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One source of statistics, no need to gather statistics manually from multiple sources.

Making data-driven decisions with Jellyfish!

  • August 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I value most about Jellyfish is the impact it generates through its data. Recently, we conducted a general review of what it has meant to have this tool in our organization, and we reached a conclusion: "As Jellyfish grows, so do we." This phrase sums up the growth that has been brought to us by being able to understand the industry through the information Jellyfish provides us.

Today, we find great value in understanding how our investment is distributed, what the health of our teams is, and how to approach 1:1 conversations with our engineers by relying on frameworks like SPACE. All of this allows us to make higher-level decisions, guiding the organization towards measurable goals, always with the well-being of our collaborators at the center.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an opportunity for improvement, it would be valuable to have more options to build custom reports and to apply filters to metrics based on the configured work categories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helped us in an incredible way to have visibility of project costs. Before, we based our analyses on subjective variables like story points, but today we feel confident in the data we obtain from the tool. As a result, we have identified features that could add value to us, which I left in previous comments.

Insightful Team Investment Insights (Avoid Individual Tracking)

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish excels at tracking team performance, guiding strategic investments, and identifying high-impact themes. Its new AI features are outstanding for improving operational efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Jellyfish is fantastic for team-level insights, its individual-level tracking should be avoided—it’s better to focus on collective outcomes rather than personal performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps us track how our engineering teams are investing their time and resources, ensuring we align our work with strategic priorities. It surfaces trends and themes across projects, allowing us to identify areas that need more attention or could be optimized. With the new AI features, we can quickly pinpoint efficiency gaps and make data-driven decisions to improve output. This has led to better prioritization, increased team alignment, and more confidence that we’re investing in the right areas.

Jellyfish Brings Clarity and Control to Engineering Management

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish has transformed the way we align engineering work with business priorities. The platform gives us clear, real-time visibility into project progress, resource allocation, and delivery risks—all without slowing teams down. I especially appreciate the intuitive dashboards, which make it easy to communicate status and impact to executives and stakeholders. The integration with our existing tools was seamless, and the reporting capabilities are top-notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Before Jellyfish, tracking engineering effort across initiatives felt like guesswork. Now, we have clear insights into where our time goes, how it maps to company strategy, and where we can improve efficiency. This has led to more informed decision-making, better prioritization, and measurable gains in delivery speed and predictability. It has also strengthened trust between engineering and leadership teams, since we can now quantify our impact.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Management and related insights.

Insightful for understanding performance and initiate dialogue within tech org

  • August 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are several metrics which are highlighted that help have conversation with engineering org to determine how best to optimize processes and monitor performance of members.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ability to standup a customizable metric based on personal needs - i.e. # of bugs in timeframe per user story. Would be beneficial to quickly spin one up that might not be a default metric Jellyfish provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aggregated insights on jira use and ai tooling use
