It's OKay
What do you like best about the product?
I used this to come up social media graphics. I think it was easy to use and it was free, I also liked their selection of fonts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It worked too slowly. A lot of graphics were not free. Your graphics' uniqueness is limited. They started charging for this, and I didn't think it was the best thing, so I stopped using it - I rarely used it when it was free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before I started on Adobe Suite, I used this for our branding on social media. It was recommended to us by Constant Contact actually. I have since, moved far away from Canva. I do not use this anymore.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It may work for you if you are willing to pay for the pieces... I am much happier creating my own content through adobe.

Graphic Design in a box!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Canva provides samples that users can use, like templates. You can add your own photos, or choose from a ton of photos provided by Canva. Some of them are $1, but there are so many free ones - you may not ever have to pay.
I also love that there are frames, icons, layouts, fonts and typography that are usable as well!

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the search feature on the free version. There's not a way to sort through free vs. paid images/designs, so you just have to scroll through them all (mixed together). I suppose that's a great tactic for Canva - if you come across one that costs, and you love it well enough... purchase it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canva has solved any graphic design problems I have encountered, being the Social Media Manager where I work. We don't have an in-house designer, so any of my posts that don't already include images or graphics... it's left up to me to find/produce something suitable.
I've realized that using Canva, my posts appear better than if they didn't have images, and often times look very professionally designed.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try out the free version. See if it includes enough features for you to use. If not, try out the trial - there are definitely more features included with the paid version!
My go to graphic tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, ability to store graphics and branding. Ability to edit images after saving in Cnava
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the program gets bogged down after working with it for a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating quality branding graphics for my social media platforms and courses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Additional free templates would be great!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this!
What do you like best about the product?
SUPER easy to use, can create awesome graphic in moments using my own graphics or the photos and graphics the provide for free (sometimes) or only $1 (usually). PRICELESS. Their website does an excellent job of explaining it, and it delivers as promised.
What do you dislike about the product?
My criticisms only comes from having used this program a LOT.
1) When I search for a keyword, say "sleep", I will get a bunch of options. If I want to add on to that keyword "sleep pet" then it starts the search over but the scroll bar gets smaller...and smaller... and smaller. Eventually it becomes difficult to keep going. But MOST of the time I find what I am looking for fairly quickly.
2) While there is SOME diversity of the types of people you will find in photos, it could be MUCH better. If you want happy white women, no problem. Men, people of other races or abilities, might be a bit more limited if you are relying on CANVA to provide your photo. If you have other photo sources, however, you CAN upload those and then use them in Canva anyway.
3) No mobile app. Must be on desktop or laptop.

Quick and easy graphics for blog posts and social media. The results are QUALITY.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it. Simple and affordable.
I'm enjoying the simplicity of Canva for work
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Canva is the ability to quickly whip up a flyer, web banner, social media post or cover photo, and move on with my day. There are some great templates, images, and grids for free, as well as paid elements that help you knock out your project quickly. There is also a really amazing feature called magic resize that will resize your design to fit a number of dimensions. This does require some tweaking afterward, but it makes the process much faster!
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike the most about Canva is the lack of granular control I'm used to having in other design applications. Zooming and fine-tuning just aren't that easy to do, and it's missing some of the basic tools like aligning or grouping elements that would make working in it so much less frustrating at times. Also, I find I have some issues with the quality of text no matter how I export the images. Sometimes it looks great, and other times it's really fuzzy, but I can't figure out why, and the FAQ hasn't been helpful for solving that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this to save money on heavy duty design software. It is definitely faster! The web app often loads quickly, navigating is fairly intuitive, and designs come together quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for ways to quickly create web content, flyers, slides, infographics, or other bold but simple designs, Canva is for you! Don't try to get too complicated or fancy (like brochures or text-heavy documents), and you'll be very happy with the ease of use.
Great, Free Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Since my original review, we've purchased the team version of Canva. Not surprisingly, it's much better than the free version. There are a ton of great templates that are easy to customize and publish. I'm a big fan of canva and will talk to anyone and everyone who will listen.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue I have is with the copy boxes. You cannot apply a single effect to portions of the text. Instead, you need to create a new text box. I realize that's in line with programs like Photoshop, but being a writer first and a designer second, it's kind of annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to develop brochures, graphics, flyers, you name it. Using Canva, we've been able to cut down on outside agency costs and bring most of our design work inside.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pay for the premium subscription. It's worth it and will allow you to quickly and easily create custom designs. There is a free trial period, so start there to make sure it's what you're looking for. I guarantee you'll be just as happy as we are.
Best tool for creating images on social media and making pictures look pretty
What do you like best about the product?
There are tons of free backgrounds, icons, and images to use.
Saving brand themes is awesome and the resize tool for creating posts that work with Facebook, Instagram, or other platforms.
Uploading your own images is easy.
Super simple to download or share directly from Canva interface.

What do you dislike about the product?
The search library can be improved. there are tons of images, but when you type in what you want to find, it still returns tons of results, many that are not even relevant to your search. So i spent a lot of time scrolling to find the right image.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding other like minded entrepreneurs can be challenging. By sharing my journey through images and simple online sharing, others can see how easy it is to leverage creative tool and share themselves.
Social graphics made easy
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to create graphics without asking my graphic designer. I love the designs available. The samples make it easy to see how it might be executed and gives me a guide to designing something that looks nice. I like how easy it is to save/download files and that there is an archive to go back to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a way of organizing your designs. Right now, they all appear in a chronological grid. As we do more graphics, it becomes a bit overwhelming to not have them organized or sorted in some way. Other than that, I can't find much that I don't like about Canva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This allows us to create graphics fast and enhance our social media posts. We are able to look polished and professional, but also crank things out fast. This flexibility allows us to test more because we are more nimble.
I LOVEEEEEE CANVA
What do you like best about the product?
It has saved me so many times when I've been in a bind and needed a last minute graphic. It is so user friendly and there are TONS of template options. I actually stopped making requests from our graphic design team at one point because it was easier for me to do it through canva.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that you could upload your own fonts for free or that the normal microsoft word fonts were available as an option. It would make it easier to keep designs on brand and consistent. Also, I've found that it crashes or freezes a lot and always at the most inopportune times. Some of the colors are also slightly off in HEX codes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I basically became the graphic designer for my department when people have needed last minute requests and our actual graphics team could not turn them around quick enough. You dont need any design experience or understanding of InDesign to make an awesome piece!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it for everything! You dont need a graphic designer ever again!
Gamechanger
What do you like best about the product?
I almost hate to recommend this application because it shows folks just how EASY it is to design a great promotional piece. But, I do. I recommend it all the time.
I have used Illustrator for years to create all of my work - many times now, probably 8 out of 10, I click to Canva first. The many templates spark an idea when I have none. I rarely use a template as it has been designed but use them as a starting point.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I miss in this application is the ability to place an object at an exact measurement. While you can see the XY axis as you place, the number is in points rather than inches - I prefer inches - and it would be amazing if there were a box to define exactly where you wish to place the object.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can quickly design a piece and download and back to other projects - Canva is a timesaver for me.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are not a designer, this is a great application to produce great social media posts or print pieces. You cannot go wrong.
If you are a designer, it is great, use it for quick projects. You will be amazed at the tools available.
