What do you like best about the product?
The product is huge and almost has all features an OMS system would have ready to implement.
Recently IBM OMS has also launched on cloud which is icing on the cake.
What do you dislike about the product?
Build on very old architecture it is very robust.
It takes lot of time for deployment even if it is for very small change.
Its configurator takes lots of time to launch.
Last but not the least as it is a huge monster it takes time to master it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multichannel order management is simplified using sterling. Its sourcing engine helps customer in determining best and cost effective node for fulfilment of order. Its inventory visibility helps customers on order promising.

Solid platform with outdated interfaces, consoles, and platform architecture.

  • February 15, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
OMS has an incredible amount of flexibility. Its ability to extend and use other systems in the company is enormous.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool still acts like a monolith. New growth projects run the risk of doing something wrong, by the fact that it can be done in many different ways.
Significant challenge in managing the tool due to continued dependence on IE-only CSS and heavy Java-based consoles.
No excuse at this point that the tool is missing a mobile app for tactical order support. More focused than the business console.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OMS simplifies the process for inbound order capture from WCS and EDI, reducing the burden on WCS to develop custom integrations. OMS also integrates our promising from a complicated, home-grown inventory solution to WCS.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
OMS is a huge tool. Know the business needs first, and engage a partner with broad experience supporting like clients. The hardest part is not knowing the right way to implement a solution; not knowing what you don't know.
