Complete Social Media Management Package

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Sprout Social has a Chrome Extension so that anytime you come to a website or webpage you'd like to share across your social media platforms, you simply click the extension and add the info and voila!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you can't archive or curate your social media posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving a need for social media organization! It's helped me keep track of what needs to be posted, what's been posted, what effect it's had on my audience, and how my audience has reacted or interacted with it!

What do you like best about the product?
All accounts in ONE inbox, beautiful interface, great customer support!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's really nothing to dislike. It does what we need!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout helps us stay connected to our customers in the channels they are already in. The search functionality allows us to listen to conversations and jump in when necessary or when someone needs help. Because Sprout has a full history of our Twitter customers we can see how far back a particular relationship goes, allowing us to tailor responses appropriately (ex: new user, vs. power user.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout Social itself is a fantastic product. It makes managing multiple accounts easy. They also have great customer service; we have a great relationship with our rep and tech support is very responsive and helpful when I do run into issues (which is rare)! They are also always updating and trying to improve for their users, and are very receptive to feedback.

Beyond the program, they have a really awesome blog with helpful resources, and a weekly Twitter chat to talk all things social! Definitely a thought leader in the social marketing space.

One thing Sprout does NOT do is the paid side of social. We manage these natively through the ad networks.

Completely meets our needs

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social lets us manage our clients' social media efficiently with smooth workflow and helpful insights. The reports are excellent, and we can brand them with our logo, so pulling reports for clients is quick and easy.
We have multiple team members using Sprout, and it makes effective collaboration possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike. There was once a minor improvement we wanted (we had to deselect accounts separately and we wanted a "deselect all" option), we mentioned it to Sprout Social, and once we explained why we thought it would be better, they made the change. Pretty amazing customer service!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social makes our social team more effective, more productive, and therefor more profitable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We use Sprout Social as an agency managing our clients' social media, and it makes it possible for us to do a great job at an affordable price point. I think any company that manages five or more social media profiles or has two or more team members working on social media would find that Sprout Social has a positive ROI.

Use Sprout Social & Love It

What do you like best about the product?
The reporting is exceptional and usability is perfect! We hardly ever have issues and if we do, Sergio in customer service is beyond helpful! We manage over 40 social media profiles and Sprout Social allows us to schedule, post, and manage conversations with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be extremely helpful if Sprout Social integrated with Facebook ads. We place thousands of ads a week and checking the comments with the Facebook Ad Manager is extremely time consuming. The ability to monitor ad comments would make our jobs that much more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We only use social media to facilitate conversations with our followers and provide them with useful information. Sprout allows us to post interesting articles and thoughts and then manage the comments quickly. The greatest benefit we have realized is the reporting feature. We don't focus on followers or engagement that much but would love to put a focus on those in the future and Sprout Social will allow that to happen.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We looked at HootSuite and Sprout. Sprout is by far a cleaner and easier to use platform that is a very fair price.

Love Sprout Social

What do you like best about the product?
I love the monitoring! I am able to monitor all of my clients' mentions and even brand keywords that I input into Sprout. It makes it easy to respond to customer service inquiries as soon as they come up and to engage users who are talking about the brand but haven't tagged the profile in the post/tweet.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I dislike is the lack or reporting for LinkedIn and Google Plus. We have clients using these platforms and it takes more time to pull stats directly from the platforms than if there were a report within Sprout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the major business problems that we help our clients solve is customer service over social media. One client, in particular, came to us with a reputation problem and by responding to social media inquiries we are helping to change the brand's online reputation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout has a lot of features so make sure you are using them all to your advantage. Work with your rep to ensure that you are up to date with all of the new features and that you understand how to implement all that you are paying for.

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is extremely simple. It's flexible and you can adjust it to your needs at any given time. We are on a grandfathered Pro Plan because I signed up in 2011; they have honoured that price and never once contacted me to sign up with their current pricing. If that's not great customer service, I don't know what is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that the entry level cost is reasonable however, it can add up pretty quickly when you add more team members to the subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring social media is simpler because I don't have to visit my Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ page to see and comments or actions.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the user interface and how easy Sprout Social is to use. I use the app and the desktop versions every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I could change one thing it would be the way the messages work - it would be great to change oldest to newest and back. Also, I don't like the way you can't scroll through in the incoming messages maybe I'm missing a feature there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm saving time by using Sprout Social and I'm more efficient. It helps me manage client work and get a ton of work done every day.

Simple and Scalable

What do you like best about the product?
I really love how simple the UI is with Sprout Social. The simplicity allows you to concentrate on exactly what needs to be done, and by whom. The Smart Inbox feature allows a team of 2 to 2000 keep track of engagements and interactions. The scheduling features help any sized team manage outgoing messages, making sure not to over share during certain times or remain silent at other times.
As your team grows, you can set permissions to help your social staff learn best sharing practices. You'll never have to worry that you'll end up on a BuzzFeed article for worst social fails ever because of rogue social agents. :)
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a pain during live event management. Other social management systems display your feeds on one big flow. While that is handy during live events, it can be cluttered during day to day management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple teams with multiple audiences. Sprout helps us monitor, engage, and measure everything across the board.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out for free. Even if you try it out with your personal, not company, profile, you'll be able to decide why you should use it.

What do you like best about the product?
Features are frequently being updated, built in reporting is excellent, and team management is a breeze

The cost is a little high for teams on limited budgets

I manage a team of content managers & creators, and Sprout Social has allowed me excellent oversight + the tools for my team to stay on top of our social presence.

Take time to learn all of the tools. Once you dig into the features, you'll see that Sprout Social is a really powerful suite.

What do you like best about the product?
I love Sprout Social's Facebook and Twitter report features. The report dashboard gives everything you would need to know in one glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I really dislike. Everything is pretty streamline.
