Keyword optimization is very much limited for the app. Keywords are the essential element of any marketing research. You can make your brand much popular if you hit the right keyword. Therefore this problem is needed to be fixed. The app is available for small businesses and these businesses are in need of such keywords so these should not be limited.

What do you like best about the product?
Puts together really nice reports that are client-ready. It's also a great tool for social listening.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found anything yet! However, with many monitoring tools, there is oftentimes discrepancies between using manual analytics vs software tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helpful for streamlining all our social pages.

What do you like best about the product?
The biggest advantage to sprout is the ability to schedule Instagram posts. The user interface is also incredibly streamlined and easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes switching between profiles can be a bit klunky. Scheduling across time zones has also proven somewhat difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout helps me manage social accounts for multiple clients, it allows me to streamline my working and not be a slave to social posting.

Strong analytics

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to understand how we're doing on social--and quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The results don't always match the native platforms (Facebook data doesn't match Facebook insights, for example), so that makes it unclear which is more accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking at the data has helped me realize where we have successes and where we could be doing better. For example, it's been clear that we have a great impact on LinkedIn, but only if we post there and it's often a platform that falls by the wayside.

    Museums and Institutions

Essential to our nonprofit

What do you like best about the product?
The recent addition of customer reviews, including TripAdvisor, and the ability to add Notes to our Publishing Calendar have been so beneficial to us. We have a very small staff and this saves us a lot of time (and time is money!).
What do you dislike about the product?
The per user pricing model is annoying. We have one Sprout user account and a shared login for our Marketing department. We're a nonprofit and can't afford to pay for additional users, though we would like to have two employees set up in Sprout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout's tag feature has helped us train a new employee, and explain to the rest of our museum staff, what works and what doesn't on our social media platforms. By using tags, we can demonstrate which content is successful and which content tanks.

A powerhouse, but could use a less extensive package for smaller organizations

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We heavily utilize Sprout for scheduling and reporting. Easy user interface and digestible metric charts are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a small team (Im the social media manager with no social team), a lot of the features we pay for go unsused. It would be ideal to have a more affordable package in between the tiers for teams like mine. Also, I stopped trying to schedule posts on Instagram because of how cumbersome it is to set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We like the reporting quite a bit. It makes metrics easy to show executives, and features like most engaged hashtags are useful.

    Civic & Social Organization

Spout Social is great for analyzing our impact in Social Media.

What do you like best about the product?
The reports are useful to measure our growth. The listening feature is a great asset too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The additional cost per user. I wish there was a team license feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What kind of content resonates with our users, trying to find the right content for Instagram can be a challenge. So knowing what gets reactions is useful.

Most Organized Social Marketing Tool

  • September 08, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy and functional Sprout Social is to use. From the calendar to the social previews, it makes scheduling out posts easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
At time it can be glitchy, especially when tagging pages on Facebook. I usually have to save and go back and edit because it messes up text in the post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clearly visualizing and planning what messaging by organization is conveying.

User friendly and comprehensive

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout has all the features that a lot of similar software have but I particularly like the team roles that allow me to give different staff permissions based on the projects they are working on. This helps keep people focused and provides an extra level of security. In addition, while Sprout's reporting is very comprehensive, it also downloads in a client-ready manner! I love that I don't need to format any reports - they already come in a visually pleasing and easy to digest manner!
What do you dislike about the product?
We are a company on a shoestring budget so I'd appreciate having more associated accounts at our price point. But other than that, no other complaints!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team loves the scheduling function but my main problem had always been analytics. Their reports are so easy to generate that we are actually using them on a more regular basis to help us keep track of KPI's and other important metrics.

Great for All Things Social

  • September 06, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature of Sprout Social is the reporting/analytics dashboards. It is great to see all your channels in one place - the customized dashboards make it super easy to answer questions on the effectiveness of channels and their posts. Obviously the social management publishing feature of the individual posts is great as well. Being able to plan ahead and have the flexibility to change content or timing on the fly is wonderful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the listening tool wasn't so expensive. I think it would be a very useful tool, but currently we do not have the budget for it. Also some of the reporting for the paid media might be a little behind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to pivot as necessary based on performance of particular channels or posts in real time. Reaching our social media KPIs has never been easier as we now have the information we need to make informed decisions on future posts. It is particularly helpful for paid social, where we know how much we need to spend to get to a certain level of engagement across all our channels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are using multiple social channels, you should be using Sprout Social to ensure you are using them all to their upmost potential!
