Measuring What Matters

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate having good data. This is the foundation for making good decisions and using resources (time and money) effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not really know how to take full advantage of our account. I minimally understand the basics, but do not know how to dig deeper and zero in on specific data points.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to provide reports that quantify our social media audience and impact is the greatest benefit. The ability to compare to other accounts is also helpful.

Basic Sprout Social user for entering the social marketing world

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Sprout social helps you post to multiple outlets from a single composition. The calendar for future scheduling has been awesome for upcoming product launches or article that I want to have sent out as a reminder for our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing that I dislike is how much focus is put on twitter and twitter compatibility. For many that is a major social outlet, but for small businesses with a super niche market such as mine we do very little on Twitter and our impact on there is not as much as what it is on outlets like LinkedIn. Mostly because we are business to business but there is not as much for LinkedIn as I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started using sprout social mainly so that I could post and track content from one space. It has saved me a lot of time and headache doing research on where each post is going, making multiple posts, gathering data from posts and follower and then combining it. The reports are Amazing!

Our agency enjoys using Sprout Social. The features are nice and the platform is intuitive.

What do you like best about the product?
Social scheduling and the reporting features are the best features for our use. I enjoy seeing members of our team get ahead of the game by updating content ahead of time and getting approvals from clients. The reporting dashboards are really great and provide great information. It is also easy to onboard new hires, and clients alike on the platform. It helps provide value from a user experience perspective and you do not have to be an analytics ninja to figure out the features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost. It seems a bit expensive for what it is including the cost of adding users and profiles. We internalize the cost and do not pass it off to the client thus, it is a bit more than we like to spend. We are able to offset this in some cases however by the efficiencies that we gain by using the platform. I also don't love that when you print reports as a PDF, you can only see audience, vs. reach, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our social campaigns are more organized than they used to be. Our team works more efficiently on social campaigns by using Sprout Social.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the cost while exploring functionality. It is a great tool however, it it is expensive if you want your client base to have access to their profile.

Great for reviewing data but can be buggy when planning posts

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Sprouts social mainly for gathering interactions, reach, data, and growth.
What do you dislike about the product?
We dislike that when you program posts. The profile will sometimes get disconnected and not post the post on it's scheduled time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are learning from our data how to grow our social media channels. We can also program posts on peak times so that someone does not physically have to sit and post at peak times

Social media management and reporting is a lot easier now

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to upload and track monthly social calendars, "listening", and engagement by each client.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it's gotten better, the interface could use a revamping. Some actions/buttons are small and seem hidden in corners or tucked away. Copy is thin sometimes difficult to read (thin, light gray on white background).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage several of our client's social media pages/accounts throughout multiple industries. We're able to save our clients time, ourselves time, and do a much better job tracking engagement and grasp a better understanding of each follower base.

One stop solution for social media management

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout has an intuitive interface that makes it easy to use.
You can manage almost every social channel with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing particular but I wish we had the opportunity to test the Listening tool by using some keyword topics.
Reporting with these tools is always a challenge. Sometimes the standard reporting widgets are not sufficient to have the right reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
QA of social media posts, reviews and approvals are super easy to execute.
Collaborative nature helps a lot to prevent things to fall between the cracks.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using Sprout Social.

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The built-in scheduler is very helpful to help plan posts in advance. I am also very happy with the insights SS gives, especially the competition insights across platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Sprout would have the capabilities to schedule stories directly to Instagram without the notification system. The same thing applies for carousel posts on Instagram. My phone is constantly being flooded with notifications and it is very easy to miss the Sprout Social notification saying "It's time to post."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves time by being able to plan and schedule out posts in advanced. I also appreciate the bulk upload function to sprout. This saves a lot of time versus scheduling every post manually.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great scheduler program.

Easy platform for managing multiple accounts

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The learning process is quick. At my company, we did a call-in session with Sprout to learn the basics, and it really helped us get to know the layout and answer our preliminary questions. If I have to cover for the main social media manager, I don't get as nervous as I used to when we didn't have everything streamlined. He easily lines up posts ahead of time and I just monitor the messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find it a little confusing to respond to messages. But I don't do it often enough to really comment on the learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a secondary user, it makes my life easier to know that all of our accounts are streamlined into one place. I love being able to quickly scroll through all of the latest messages and quickly prioritize who needs an immediate response.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout is very reliable and easy to use. Although my main role is not social media manager, I do have to cover that person from time to time. Before Sprout, I had a hard time stepping in and posting or monitoring. Now I can easily log in and respond to comments, monitor hashtags, and even post if need be. I know that we have had nothing but positive feedback from our clients, who can easily see their analytics.

Love the platform to manage our department and clients!

  • August 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the reports it generates for clients. We can customize these very easily and they are very digestible for clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the competitor analysis in Sprout isn't the most valuable resource on the platform. It would be helpful to see these metrics on Instagram and not just Twitter and have more expansive data that we can go back to clients to discuss.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Often at times in reports images won't download or if we click "reach" to be the number we showcase it just defaults to a different metric. This has been an ongoing issue for a few months.

The benefits are we can manage all clients social, analytics and social media content posting all in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the trial to your advantage and make the most of it. I have not used a platform that was more user-friendly than Sprout.
