Overall, a Great Solution for Social Media Managers & Teams

  • August 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Smart Inbox, Publishing Tools, Tagging, Reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love the tagging feature for categorizing posts, but one drawback is that when you create a new post, whatever tags that were last used carry over (they are pre-populated for the next post). This is especially annoying when you are using the "send again" feature for a previously sent post but the tags affiliated with that sent post are not carried over to the next one (instead, it defaults to whatever tags were last used).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing content publishing and engagement, performance analysis, influencer prospecting, competitive analysis.

Solid Tool for Basic Social Media Support

  • August 04, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is easy to set up and use. Instagram is included in the platform. Whenever I have a question, customer service is spot on and fast. This isn't the most sophisticated tool but they don't make promises to deliver on what they can't, unlike many other tools out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like more in-depth data, especially for Twitter and Instagram (why can't SS pull impressions and reach if I can see them in mobile?) and better syncing through social APIs, often there is a slight variance. Would LOVE Pinterest in here as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SS to schedule posts for clients and help pull data for monthly reporting. SS has been the most reliable scheduler I have used and I do enjoy the "engaged user" insights for Twitter and Instagram.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great scheduling tool and high level basic data.

Powerful organizing tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout offers the ability to maintain multiple profiles at once and keep track of all scheduled messages with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes receive errors that are difficult to understand what went wrong, once in a while messages will fail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple profiles to keep track of and it makes it easy to schedule the same message from multiple accounts.

Great product, simple, effective and cost efficient!

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is easy to use. The analytic tools are great and meet all my current needs. The interface is extremely user-friendly and tech savvy. The set-up was super easy and the reports and analytics have been spot on and easy to read. They have great support as well, so anytime I have ever had a problem it has been solved in just a matter of minutes
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had too many problems with it, a few bugs, and a few questions but support has been right there to help me. It would be great if they added Youtube, and setting up Facebook could be a bit easier. I would love if they could add in more tutorials to help me continue to optimize my experiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am the only person monitoring social for my company so it is great to have all the analytics for our profiles in one place. The reports are easy to read and have worked great in my reports. I have found solutions on how I can better utilize my social campaigns and what my company is currently doing on social. It has been very easy to manage the accounts and use the social customer service functions as well so that we an offer support to our customers via social.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an awesome product, definitely, do your research and the trial to make sure it meets your companies needs, but I don't think you will be disappointed.

Very little onboarding required, great for collaboration

  • August 01, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, connects to many social accounts. I worked on a social media team of 3-5 people, but I know that the other team members at the PR org used it to post for their clients, so I know that the program has way more capabilities than I used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Either we didn't know about it, or we didn't use it, but my team did all of our drafting in a separate google doc. An in-program collaborative drafting feature would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to plan social media posts at the beginning of the week, set it and forget it. We were trying to establish our company as a "lifestyle" organization in addition to the services we offer, and we all know that being active on social is a key component to that! I also like that Sprout generally has crowdsourced user support (i.e, easy to google whatever problems that you're having.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would get really into the analytics of it if I were still working with Sprout (I've shifted teams). Sprout always had a lot to say about what was going on, but my role was mostly as content creator and uploader, without really getting into the analytic aspect of it, which is a shame. Sprout really cuts down on time in the planning stage, so I would use the time you save by employing sprout to customize the content to each platform that you'll be using it on. I'm sure Sprout will only grow and improve.

Easy to use, well organized Social Media Manager

  • July 31, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that all of the notifications are in one easy to find place under Messages, are you are able to respond to each individual notification. I also enjoy the scheduling calendar which shows the posts you have scheduled out for the week. It's great to be able to assign tasks to other team members if they are more equipped to handle an inquiry on social. The analytics/reporting tools are fantastic and easy to use which is much more than I can say for other social scheduling tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love that you can only view one week at a time in the scheduling portion of Sprout Social. I like to be able to see a month at a time. There's also no way to create color coded content groups which is a feature I love about other social scheduling tools. I would say the scheduler is what needs the most improvement, but the notification system and reporting tools are wonderful. This system is also very pricey!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We upgraded from Hootsuite to SproutSocial and I'll tell you it is MUCH better than Hootsuite. It is incredibly user friendly which is important to our company because we continue to hire on new social media managers as our client base expands and they need to be able to hop in and get started quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would say it's one of the best Social Tools out there, but it is incredibly expensive. If you're on a budget it may be best to research similar tools that won't cost you a fortune.

Great program better customer service

  • July 26, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think that it was a really great program for what we were needing it for. Customer service reps would reach out every few days and were even willing to jump on calls to make sure that i was getting everything I needed from the program. I would have given it a 10 but it was just a little too high for our budget.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that they were about to figure out Instagram scheduling before my trial period ended because that is what we use most. Also I wish they had a feature that would pull content from our website and make it into content that we could share on our social.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work for a company with over a million followers and keeping track of everyone and everything across social can be tough. This put everything in one place and allowed me to track our growth for each area.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it is a really great program and they are headed in the right direction. You just have to think about the ROI and really evaluate if it is right for your company.

Smart Inbox/Reporting Are Gamechangers

  • July 25, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The smart inbox and reporting features have elevated our social media game. The smart inbox allows you to see every type of social interaction/message you have during the day, making it easy to respond to and engage with your followers/audiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
The charts and diagrams in the reports generated by Sprout don't always accurately reflect the data, so I'm having to export the reports as .csv files and create my own graphs for the data in Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In higher education, the toughest thing is keeping up with the slew of messages that come through the accounts every day, so having the Smart Inbox feature has really allowed us to engage with our followers on a whole new level.

Our engagement and follower metrics increased on every platform following our first quarter with Sprout.

Great tool to monitor social channels

  • July 18, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is a great tool to use for Social Media monitoring and for scheduling one off posts. The streaming view of social media mentions that comes in and can be segmented by several different accounts/categories is very easy to read and being able to mark posts as "complete" and hiding them makes it much less cluttered than some systems I have used. The reporting is also very intuitive. The way that the reporting is visualized makes it easy for me to understand changes in my account much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of a bulk upload feature (I have to use Hootsuite to upload lists of tweets I create from data dumps) is really a bummer. That feature is one that I use extensively to push out large amounts of content to one of my social accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout helped me to monitor social mentions coming in and to respond in real time without having to actually go on any of my accounts. It has saved me a lot of time compared to running through twitter and facebook notifications on the native site. Reporting has also made it much easier to figure out what content is performing best and how my accounts are performing.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, great organizational tool. Perfect for scheduling and does a decent job with analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the best social listening tool. Would also like to see the tool take a deeper look at analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling.
Analytics.
Social Listening.
