Solid social media management tool for mid-size companies

  • January 25, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social's dashboard is relatively intuitive and easy to use. It's simple to connect accounts and switch between them. Built-in reporting tools produce simple, clear reports that can be downloaded and distributed. Basic listening tools allow tracking of keywords, hashtags, and brand mentions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is high for a small business and the value over a more affordable social media scheduling tool like Buffer is not there. But for a mid-size company with increased budget or an agency, Sprout is a good option, especially if more advanced analytics or listening tools are needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout makes it easy to schedule posts in advance, and an approval and task system is helpful for managing multiple team members. The Sprout Queue is useful for optimizing posting times. Reports are easy to generate and distribute to stakeholders.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider needed user accounts. Adding additional users and social accounts can quickly get expensive. If budget is a consideration, and scheduling tools are the primary purpose, Buffer may be a better option. But if weighed against the enterprise or business version of Hootsuite, Sprout comes out ahead in terms of usability and value.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy access to analytics, top comments, top engaged influencers on Instagram & easy to export reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
No information on unfollowers, inability to schedule Instagram posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy access to reports & social numbers, social media listening, and overall comparison reports for higher ups. Benefits include easy reporting, ability to schedule content, access to competitor brands, and ability to view analytics simply over any course of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use this product if you are managing multiple platforms for a specific brand or multiple brands. Simple to use, easy reporting, comprehensive analytics. Though, if unfollowers & Instagram tools are important to you, make sure you have a backup app or service for that.

Sprout Social Review

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability monitor each of our social media accounts no matter the platform but most importantly the analytics of each account, as well as the ability to create date ranges to create analytic reports. It has a lot of options!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specific. Once you figure out the dashboard, it's pretty easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problems but realizing location and ages of audiences, as well as peak times which help us in our ability to post in front of our largest audience and creates engagement.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's an all-one-tool for social media users.

A more streamlined social media planning experience

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspect of Sprout Social was that I was able to balance several clients in a much cleaner way than other platforms. I also enjoyed the enhanced reporting experience that created professional-looking reports that I felt sharing almost directly to my clients based on how engaging and in-depth they were. The platform made it incredibly easy to show value to the agency and our clients because of the enhanced metrics, reporting style, and ability to plan out weeks or months of content for several clients in a way that gave my team the chance to look at our content from both short term and long term perspectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were very few things I did not enjoy about the platform. There were times when it was difficult to compare or load social media metrics. On a similar note, when there was a need to troubleshoot for a particular reason, it can be difficult to find out the cause.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform enabled me - as a social media content writer - to develop content for several clients in one place - as well as plan out calendars in an effective, not confusing way for both myself and the client. The site also showed a decent level of ROI that showed a lot of value to the work we were trying to accomplish.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Worth the investment if you need to show value through ROI and are juggling multiple clients.

Efficient and cost-effective monitoring tool

  • January 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout makes monitoring various social channels a breeze either on desktop or on mobile; the mobile app is fantastic. Also, it's easy to track different social users and add notes next to their profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
For $100 a month, it's not going to be as robust as other platforms like Sprinklr or Spreadfast, but that's to be expected. The analytics also aren't as in-depth as would be ideal leaving you still going through FB and Twitter analytics for post-level data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TIME. Sprout social lets you respond and schedule posts across channels easily and email messages out. That said, it's definitely best for small teams.

What do you like best about the product?
Visual display of metrics: demographics, engagement, growth, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not detailed enough - would like to be able to view Twitter impressions / metrics based on selected date range
Social Listening not available: should be a one-stop-shop that offers marketers the ability to track, monitor and measure clients across social media
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking to gauge and monitor consumer engagement / influencers to help determine content direction

Easy, user-friendly social media management

  • January 13, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are several of us on my project's social media team. Sprout Social lets us schedule tweets and FB posts when it's convenient for us, while making sure we're not promoting the same thing whoever was on social media duty promoted yesterday.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only one of us can be logged in at a time (we share the account login info, which I know isn't a best practice, but we're basically a nonprofit). Composing a tweet and step away for a moment? Someone else hops on and kicks you out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social lets us manage all our social media accounts in a central location. It also allows us easy access to our metrics, which is important for our funder (funders love data).

Extremely user-friendly; better suited to larger teams

What do you like best about the product?
Their customer service is responsive, the product itself is great for keeping organized, and the reporting functions are awesome. f we were a larger office, I'm sure we'd find it to be even more useful, since
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a bit prohibitive. While the product itself is the best of its kind, in my experience, we don't 'NEED' all the conveniences of this software and it's hard to justify the cost with such a small team using it, when we can get our must-have features from much cheaper software. With that said - Sprout is great; it's just more than we need. If we were a bigger company I would definitely continue to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's incredibly easy to track conversations, mentions, prospects, etc. The team organization tools are simple and sophisticated and ensure that every team member's responsibilities are clear and that the administrator can easily review and ensure everyone meets their responsibilities. The content accumulation ability is fantastic, and the reporting functions are so clear, easy-to-read, and ultimately just really well designed.

What do you like best about the product?
The visual reports are a great snapshot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the filters to add handles, groups can be a little confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualization of high level campaign performance. The downloadable reports are an added value.
