A time saver for social media management
What do you like best about the product?
It places all items into one dashboard making checks easy and convenient rather than logging into separate accounts which is a time-drain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting isn't perfect and while it is out of their control, the Instagram API or lack thereof makes posting to instagram a hassle still.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time for our business managing our own and our clients social media accounts. Also, the feature to queue/schedule items helps us add additional content at optimal times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it to save time, schedule posts and use the intelligent queue to get the timing of posting right.
Best of what's out there - for the price
What do you like best about the product?
I like the reports the best. Sprouts reports are way beyond their competitors. I love the Twitter Comparison and the Group Reports. I also enjoy the customer service support over chat. I always get someone within seconds and the problem is addressed/fixed within minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Discovery tab has something to be desired. The SmartSearch component is not smart whatsoever. This is an area that has great potential for improvement. You cannot even print the search results! Well, you can, but you have to print screen. For that - the listening tool isn't that great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is great for publishing. Seriously lacks in listening. You can listen, but there's no way to capture the results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a listening platform, think again. If you need a cheap publishing and reporting tool, Sprout is it!

The inbox tool is essential for monitoring and engaging with keywords and brand mentions. The scheduling tools make it easy to organize content across multiple channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
No reporting tool will ever be as accurate as the social platform themselves. Sprout Social works hard to give as much detailed and relevant info, but it is worth comparing to the social channel to see that you're getting exactly what you need.

What do you like best about the product?
The mobile app for Sprout has helped me keep a close eye on my company's social media accounts in a way I never could before. The web interface is very user friendly. I'm also a big fan of the messages, publishing, and analytics that are available. They are so robust and interesting that we use them in our bi-weekly social reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still cannot "hide" a comment on Facebook from the mobile app. This is only an issue off-hours because I'm not always near a computer or able to send a customer's information to our response team. So, I will see a negative comment, want to "hide" the comment until the next day when I can forward the issue to our response team, and yet, I cannot "hide" the comment through the app. I need to find a computer at that time, before the comment receives more comments, and "hide" the comment manually. That appears to be the biggest hole in the Sprout Social spectrum for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to monitor the company social media feeds like never before. Because of this, we are much more responsive to customer complaints in real time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the Publishing tab to schedule your standard brand content posts. I schedule mine weeks in advance and it keeps our company message running strong on social media.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Sprout on a daily basis and absolutely love it. It combines so many of the tools that social media managers use (publishing, scheduling, reporting, monitoring, etc.) and is laid out in a clean and fresh way. It also allows me to add additional users whose content I can approve before it goes live -- perfect for interns. They're always adding new features to keep up with demands of the industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really! Anytime I've had an issue, their customer service responds promptly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ongoing content creation for social media. Planning for future posts, across myriad platforms. Providing social care within Sprout.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This has similar features to HootSuite, but to me, is laid out in a much more functional and clean way.

What do you like best about the product?
The task assignments and reports are the best features by far. I am not a huge fan of scheduling bulk content on social, but Sprout Social has SO many options for organizing content and tagging outbound/inbound content for organizational purposes. It just has everything we need, and the relationship manager is a great resource for training customer service reps who have no social media experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I really dislike about Sprout Social is that sometimes task emails don't go through - and don't even go into Spam. But, their team is excellent about resolving issues usually within 24 hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to streamline our customer experience efforts on social media and use our people so much more effectively. We are finally able to scale our efforts and become a company our customers expect us to be. We also are able to track major conversations about our brand on social media with so much ease. Executives don't have time to wait for data, and this allows us to send reports practically immediately. Manual insight tracking is a thing of the past.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work with an account manager to get you to the right solution for your brand or company. We ended up going with a larger plan than we expected, but ultimately it is the perfect choice for our company and goals. We wouldn't have known this if it weren't for our relationship manager.

Its design, user-friendliness. Features are great, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
They should implement LinkedIN report, as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media posting over a longer period of time. Freeing up my timetable for more critical tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test it, talk to the consultants & then decide if it is the right tool for your company. But from my personal experience, it works just fine.
Best out there for Scheduling, Analytics and Resources!
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is a great tool and have switched two companies I have worked for to use Sprout over Hootsuite and other competitor services. The list of functions and services I like best are: responsive and knowledgeable account reps, webinars and blog resources, the ability to schedule evergreen messages repeatedly, and the visual aspect of the calendar and the charts and graphs for presentations. The unlimited reporting and the stats that are measured too are on point and great for presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that it measured sentiment and could give more specific results from event hashtags you are trying to track during and post-event. But neither is a big negative in the scheme of things. Measuring stats for LinkedIn within Sprout would be an added bonus too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to manage scheduling and analytics in one platform is a big advantage. A lot of companies don't do both or don't do both well. The price point is very fair for the level of service and product that is offered.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sign up for the free trial. It really is no strings attached and is a great selling point. Tune into their blog and some of their webinars as well. I always have something new to takeaway and really shows they are on the cutting edge of staying up on social trends which are always changing.

I don't know if these things are even possible on other social media management platforms, but these are thing I dislike but hope to see Sprout have in the future!

-the inability to see a preview of exactly what the post will look like on the desktop site (this is available through their app, it's just not ideal to switch between the two to double check the look of your post)

-less time is spent bouncing between platforms scheduling posts on Facebook and remembering to tweet at the same time (as we did not have the option to schedule tweets)

-sprout can show you the history you've had with said follower - makes recalling past conversations so smooth

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Sprout Social! It makes managing multiple platforms simple by allowing you to schedule, post, and follow up on users. It also creates an ability to find new users and search by topics so you can find new followers/topics to keep up with. The reports work very well for what we need (if we needed more, we could have purchased the next level up, but didn't feel we were at that point quite yet) and the support is excellent! My calls have been answered very quickly and the customer service team is awesome and extremely helpful!
