Sprout Social Review
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is a great platform for managing your social accounts and support with a small team. I love that I can schedule content in advance on all of my social channels, which leaves time for working on other things. I also like that Sprout allows me to assign tasks to other team members and save history with people's social profiles. It has a clean user interface and is really easy to use. They also have an excellent support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm hoping for more Instagram options in the future, but Sprout continues to roll out new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sprout for automating our social media efforts. Using this platform has saved me time and energy from sifting through all of our channels to identify mentions, inquiries and influencers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely set up some time to learn about all of the features. There are so many great things that they offer and it would be a shame to see some of it go underutilized!
Fantastic Social Media Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love Sprout Social's Inbox feature. It ensures that I never miss a mention or message!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that LinkedIn for Universities was supported with publishing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I LOVE that Sprout Social enables me to engage users via Instagram and receive rich analytics about the platform. No other service offers such comprehensive analytic data.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to queue up tweets to use in the future because it makes it easy to always have something to post every day. I also like being able to view everything in all of my networks all in one place. I also really enjoy the audience demographics so I can see who is viewing my posts the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way they do impressions- it's confusing and I'm never quite sure what it's really showing. There isn't much else that I dislike about Sprout Social. I think it works quite well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to increase our social media presence. I have noticed that sprout social makes it far easier to stay on top of social media, and to compare which outlets are doing the best and which are doing the worst. We have gained a lot of recognition and participation in the events that we share on social media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to follow your analytics and keep track of how each medium is doing- this has helped us a lot! Especially for deciding what time we should post on each medium in order to get the most views
Easy and Informative Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to schedule posts to all of my company's social platforms is such a breeze with Sprout Social. Plus I like that I can set particular posts that I create weekly to post weeks or months in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when trying to monitor my personal pages that I run into bugs such as not being able to view my most recently received messages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm trying to utilize our company's presence online to the fullest. Get the most interaction I can with our audience and create a consistent voice. The benefits of posting the same post to multiple sites and monitoring which do best has been a great asset.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend that you try the free version first. It won't have all the features that you're capable of using if you purchase a more advanced version, but it will give you a better feel if Sprout Social is right for you.
A time saver for social media management
What do you like best about the product?
It places all items into one dashboard making checks easy and convenient rather than logging into separate accounts which is a time-drain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting isn't perfect and while it is out of their control, the Instagram API or lack thereof makes posting to instagram a hassle still.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time for our business managing our own and our clients social media accounts. Also, the feature to queue/schedule items helps us add additional content at optimal times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it to save time, schedule posts and use the intelligent queue to get the timing of posting right.
Best of what's out there - for the price
What do you like best about the product?
I like the reports the best. Sprouts reports are way beyond their competitors. I love the Twitter Comparison and the Group Reports. I also enjoy the customer service support over chat. I always get someone within seconds and the problem is addressed/fixed within minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Discovery tab has something to be desired. The SmartSearch component is not smart whatsoever. This is an area that has great potential for improvement. You cannot even print the search results! Well, you can, but you have to print screen. For that - the listening tool isn't that great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is great for publishing. Seriously lacks in listening. You can listen, but there's no way to capture the results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a listening platform, think again. If you need a cheap publishing and reporting tool, Sprout is it!

No reporting tool will ever be as accurate as the social platform themselves. Sprout Social works hard to give as much detailed and relevant info, but it is worth comparing to the social channel to see that you're getting exactly what you need.

What do you like best about the product?
The mobile app for Sprout has helped me keep a close eye on my company's social media accounts in a way I never could before. The web interface is very user friendly. I'm also a big fan of the messages, publishing, and analytics that are available. They are so robust and interesting that we use them in our bi-weekly social reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still cannot "hide" a comment on Facebook from the mobile app. This is only an issue off-hours because I'm not always near a computer or able to send a customer's information to our response team. So, I will see a negative comment, want to "hide" the comment until the next day when I can forward the issue to our response team, and yet, I cannot "hide" the comment through the app. I need to find a computer at that time, before the comment receives more comments, and "hide" the comment manually. That appears to be the biggest hole in the Sprout Social spectrum for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to monitor the company social media feeds like never before. Because of this, we are much more responsive to customer complaints in real time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the Publishing tab to schedule your standard brand content posts. I schedule mine weeks in advance and it keeps our company message running strong on social media.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Sprout on a daily basis and absolutely love it. It combines so many of the tools that social media managers use (publishing, scheduling, reporting, monitoring, etc.) and is laid out in a clean and fresh way. It also allows me to add additional users whose content I can approve before it goes live -- perfect for interns. They're always adding new features to keep up with demands of the industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really! Anytime I've had an issue, their customer service responds promptly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ongoing content creation for social media. Planning for future posts, across myriad platforms. Providing social care within Sprout.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This has similar features to HootSuite, but to me, is laid out in a much more functional and clean way.
