Highly Efficient Tool, But Pricey for Small Teams

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Sprout Social consolidates content planning, scheduling, and client management all in one place, making it easy to manage tasks efficiently. The content calendar view and scheduling options are particularly beneficial for organizing work. I appreciate the ability to share content with clients for review seamlessly. The features such as notes, duplicate posting, custom reports, and the smart inbox are incredibly useful. Moreover, Sprout Social's integration with various social media platforms and services like Google My Business and Yelp enhance its functionality, making my job smoother. Its scalability and powerful features support agency work effectively, which adds great value.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the price point of Sprout Social to be a barrier for smaller scale businesses and individuals who do not need all the features offered by the platform. This pricing issue prevents smaller businesses from adopting Sprout Social, as they may not find it cost-effective considering they might not utilize the full range of features available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social for solving content planning and scheduling for multiple clients, benefiting from its centralized, accessible platform that includes useful features like content calendar views, scheduling options, and easy client sharing.

Versatile Social Media Management with Room for Reporting Improvement

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Sprout Social simplifies scheduling across multiple platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, which saves us time, especially after hours. Its reporting feature is invaluable, providing insights into our content and competitive performance. The smart inbox streamlines community management, making it easier for team access. I also appreciate the support from the Sprout Social team during the setup and training process, which made the transition smooth. The multi-functionality of Sprout Social, covering scheduling, reporting, and community management, is extremely beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the reporting on Sprout Social lacks clarity, particularly in differentiating between organic and paid metrics. This sometimes makes the data seem clunky and requires additional manual work to sort through it properly. A more robust and clear distinction in the reporting would improve the user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to schedule content across platforms, track competitor performance, manage community interactions efficiently, and generate valuable reports that guide our social strategy.

Social Media Management

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how user friendly the process is for scheduling content across multiple channels, how it previews content, the layout for reporting metrics and the filters available.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an auto save option when building a post. This may be an internet speed issue but sometimes when I need to resize images and the page takes forever and resets the content I'm working on is lost. And sometimes when I try to save something as a draft it doesn't populate there.

I'd love to see the ability to schedule items to stories in Sprout and not just the reminder to post them to stories when scheduled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media scheduling across multiple channels allowing me and my team to schedule content in advance and see which posts are are doing well in real time. Sprout also supports our reporting, and sharing metrics with our internal and external teams to determine what content resonates well with our audiences and what content is reaching new audiences.

Sprout just makes social media easier.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout makes it easy to collaborate as a team, work through multiple campaign projects and deliver consistent reporting to our stakeholders. Our team frequently receives updates from our accounts managers and relevant information from customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate integration between platforms, such as the ability to schedule first comments on Facebook and TikTok like users can do on Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to respond to people's questions about information we post. This organic feedback also allows us to develop content, such as blogs, FAQs, etc., to increase our content helpfulness and reach.

Solid social scheduling platform with analytics

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favourite feature is being able to tag social posts and be able to see the performance of posts according to campaign/categories. They recently came out with a new feature where you can schedule posts for multiple platforms at once, and that has also been helpful for saving time!
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I find Sprout Social easy to use and convenient. The biggest downside is not being able to tag people on Linkedin that do not follow your company page. As a result, sometimes I have to use the native scheduler instead for certain posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social is a convenient tool for me to plan out my social calendar and also schedule out social media posts. It's also great to be able to see analytics without having to go to the different platforms and collate the information by myself.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have run into issues with Sprout not pulling all comments from campaigns into the Smart Inbox.

The best social media management tool on the market

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social provides all the tools you need to manage a brand's social media presence. The publishing calendar integrates with all major social platforms and makes it easy to schedule and publish content to various channels and using different media types. On the reporting side, Premium Analytics has saved us — no joke — hundreds of hours, replacing previous manual work by automatically pulling in metrics from all the major networks in a customized report. With the tagging system, we can quickly track how specific campaigns or content topics are performing in a matter of seconds. Finally, the Smart Inbox is our one-stop shop for all the comments and messages we receive, bringing them into a single place from across our different networks. You are able to assign comments to specific users to respond accordingly, hide comments, ban users, and measure sentiment all from within the Smart Inbox.

When we embarked on identifying a new social media management tool years ago, we tested out all of the big ones available, and Sprout Social performed the best in all of our major categories by far. It is an excellent tool and makes a tough job easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations on what is pulled into Sprout (link clicks for Threads, Facebook Story analytics, etc.), but those are typically related to API limitations. Once the networks make them available, Sprout is quick to enact them.

I will say, if you are an enterprise client with numerous groups, there is quite a bit of cross-pollination that occurs with the creation of tags and campaigns since they default to an "all groups" visibility. Ideally, these would only be visible within their respective group by default, but users often overlook this, which can create some disorganization behind the scenes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
• Publishing and scheduling posts, making it easy to manage our editorial calendar
• Tracking KPIs in an automated fashion, saving us from having to manually add numbers to a spreadsheet
• Bringing all of the comments and messages we receive into a single spot, allowing us to not have to go to each channel to manage them

My Sprout Social experience has been positive.

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The amount of time I am able to save in the content scheduling and reporting process. Incredibly straightforward setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there is not a way to filter the publishing calendar by content type, with the amount of stories we reshare daily it can be hard to get a clear picture for the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling social content across multiple platforms and distilling performance into reports that inform our strategy.

Effortless Social Media Management with Excellent Customization

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Sprout Social makes it much easier for me to manage a high volume of posts, especially with the ability to customize content for each platform while scheduling at different times. Doing all this within a single screen is incredibly convenient. The ease of customization per post across multiple platforms is the most useful feature I find.
What do you dislike about the product?
I encountered a learning curve with Sprout Social, particularly with certain features such as scheduling options. It wasn't overly difficult overall, but there were areas that required more effort to master.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Sprout Social simplifies managing multiple client channels, enhancing post quantity and customization for each platform and scheduling, all from a single screen.

Sprout Social made my job a little easier by assisting me in posting on time.

  • September 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I streamlined my operations with Sprout Social and use it to schedule posts for multiple client accounts. The calendar view is helpful in understanding published versus scheduled posts and it streamlines my ability to batch schedule posts to avoid the daily rush. I like that my team drafts posts and I'm the one they send for review and approval before it goes live. The email ping pong game is no longer played and that is a big deal.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a small business myself and having to juggle multiple accounts, I was disappointed to learn that the prices were not competitive. I was also a bit disappointed to learn that I had to work on Story and other layout scheduling. I appreciate the overall assessment, although they appear to me overly general, and I wish I could customize them more to the client’s objectives. It serves well, and even though I am reluctant to say it is the best I could find, I take solace in the fact that I am not the only one being charged for these other features and multiple other reasons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without burning out, I am able to maintain my posting consistency across clients thanks to Sprout Social. It saves me the swiveling work of having to log in to various platforms as well as the approval workflows, so my clients and I can collaborate more easily. It takes care of the social content even in my absence, and that saves me multiple hours in a week.
