What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I miss the last software that I used: mixpanel When I have some issue to solve It´s harder to find a solution in internet. Comparing mixpanel and Indicative I miss more content available in YouTube for example.
I don´t remember to be invited too to any webinar talking about a new feature or some new user trainig. Eventually We need to organize in our team someone to teach our new emplyees how to use the software. It will better if Indicative could provide the first steps to a new user.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Loaded with options and crunches data so quickly.
What do you like best about the product?
Once I learned how to create my own dashboards, I was amazed at the number of different options I had at my fingertips to customize my reports and make them visually interesting.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve, but once you get up-to-speed you'll love the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Experience as a user and a developer (integrating the events)

What do you dislike about the product?
- complexity (even analysts struggle to understand some features)
- low flexibility on adjusting the events
- poor filtering functionality (e.g. no "value is in json array" filter)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Funnel analysis, user journeys (see the benefits above)
A good tool for startups
What do you like best about the product?
I think the dashboards and the conversion graphs are the best part of the toll. But apply the filters are hard and sometimes are necessary understand programming language to use all resources. I'm a User Experience Desinger and for me, it's important the view of full costumer jouney. Indicative hepls me to search and study the gaps in the journey and correct then. The best part is that we can create several funnels with specific points of interest from different areas of the company, these funnels are complementary to each other and the information can be discussed in a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
On some screens the numbers of the dashboards are too small, and it's hard to see them. I think that increase the size of the font is the best way to make the site more accessible. Some features, such as creating a funnel, are complex for those who are not used to using analytics softwares. The platform also brings a lot of information at once, making it difficult to read, and the interface may seem at first unfriendly to anyone who is adapted to Google Analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now we can see the real conversion rate, because in our Google Analitics the rate is extracted in a sample. We an extract the data and we can make better reports. I realized that our reports are more reliable and complete, being used by many areas of the company, such as CRO, Media Performance and DevOps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Indicative is a good tool for startups and cheaper than others, without neglecting the quality and reliability of data. in addition to facilitating the work with reports and dashboards of user's journey. Indicative can also help various areas of the company to integrate and share their information, since the dashboards are detailed and very complete.
Very useful tool for product analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Most things are very intuitive, the UI is very friendly and gives people an easy way to make some high-level analysis, like funnel, segmentation and even cohorts analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no possibility to separate some properties that have the same name for diferent kinds of events, which can be a downside, as long as you need to define well what is the meaning of that property for each kind of event that has it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Test and evaluate new features of the company website/app, analyze different page/categories performance, etc.
A Fantastic tool that is always improving
What do you like best about the product?
The constant improvements is indicatives best feature
What do you dislike about the product?
There is currently a few missing integration points that would speed up getting data from our core platform, but there is a lot of other options to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business insights into how customers use our platform
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Has a brilliant support suite and has a lot of integration points to bring in your data, including an API to store data in Indicative itself. This product should always be considered as part of evaluating analytical software as it ticks a lot of boxes
Better Alternative to MixPanel
What do you like best about the product?
The product is easy to start using on Day 1, but it also has many layers for complex analytics. Also, event tracking is accurate and scalable ... Google Analytics is not scalable for this, and other solutions, such as Mixpanel, are too expensive and less useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the sharp jump in price tiers. While I was still in the mode of testing for a few months, we kept breaching the free trial limit, and were forced to pay a steep price jump in order to continue our testing. Otherwise the data was locked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Event Tracking at Scale was easily solved by Indicative. Easy to implement. Customization for params. Fast reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to start. Easy to implement tracking code. Scalable. Less expensive than Mixpanel, but still not cheap at massive scale.
Awsome for Exploring Product Metrics
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to make standard product analysis (cohorts, funnels and segmentations). The team is also very attentive and provide helpful insigths for user cases and also technical issues. Also, I have to compliment their data dictionary: it makes day to day easier and the analysis more intuitive (or should I say more Indicative?).
For those wanting to start out and try a product analytics tool, I would also recommend beacuse of their really generous free trial limit of events (I think today it is of 1 billion events up to 28 days and 500 million after that).

What do you dislike about the product?
Well, I would say that they React Native SDK is really outdated (the last update was more than a year ago and the docs are not updated). They do produce a lot of good content on their blog, but I think that the technical docs are kind of forgotten.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Indicative, it is easier to understand how people use my product and what gaps it has. It comes with a really intuitive and easy to use interface plus a data dictionary (ending those debates between engineers and business people - "what means this event names?"). I would also add that maybe the biggest benefit is the time saved by the teams: now it is really easier to explore existing data and answer questions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Well, my recommendation is to use the free tier and get to your own conclusions. I think that in the setup process and seeing some test events flowing + exploring the demo they provide will help make a decision.
Very powerful resources, but still lacking on refinement for some features.
What do you like best about the product?
Indicative simplifies some very complex event analytics tasks with the Cohorts and Funnel tools. Dealing with events using SQL can be a giant pain, even for simple goals. In my opinion, this is the biggest upside for Indicative: it's simple and fast.
The customer experience is also great! It was a breeze to contact someone every time I needed help.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many options for customizing visualizations. The user segmentation could be a bit more versatile, with AND/OR statements, this is very crucial when dealing with bounce rates, for example.
The website could also be more refined, I've had some problems when using it through Firefox, the UX could be better. A good example is the main 'Indicative' header, which does not allow new tabs to be created from it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Specific page conversion rates, product stickiness, active users growth, usage of specific features and pages, cohort/user segmentation in order to better understand customer behavior, etc.
Indicative makes these tasks way easier and faster to handle. Whereas in SQL I would take ~30 min to write a query, I take 2-10 min to create something using the segmentation/funnel/cohort tools.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have really well defined events and good modelling for more specific user segmentation and analysis. Indicative is a very powerful tool, but it has its shortcomings. Using it in conjunction with other BI tools is a very good idea, as it will not meet all your needs for transaction metrics.
