Learning Automation made easy
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the flowchart design as it resembles the actual process flow. Anyone who sees the code's main page can understand what the bot does if developed using best practices and naming conventions. The best part is no coding experience is required and helps to develop ones Logic thinking. I could learn Blueprism in matter of 3 weeks, thanks to University tutorials. The Blueprism competion has opened ways to know and learn more new things. i started the development with minimal coding understanding and now after 3 years of working as developer i feel i have upskilled to the expert level in my areas of work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the OCR has got scope for improvements. The Blueprism crashes sometimes and we have got the best support from Blueprism support team to resolve the same. I could experince it reduced a lot over months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are making our Supply chain more efficient, reliable with minimal errors. So far, with the use of Blueprism we have saved a lot of time and money. This automation using Blueprism adds value to my Organization. We are happy that we are in the market trends to bring RPA to our employees. I have built reusable objects that has made the automation much more quick and easy. The integrations to DLL, C# scripts. are added advantages, making more open to work with fexibility.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The UI can be made look attractive with some graphics.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple UI. Drag and drop functionality. Lots of reusable components are available on the Digital Exchange portal. So many tutorials on blue prism university for learning. Highly active community.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI needs improvement. Ideation and community portal can be enhanced further to have a better user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Logical problems, Web automation, Document processing, Data Reconciliation process, etc.

Very intuitive interface, very good knowledge base.
What do you dislike about the product?
At a time when I used it daily, academy was not available to users which don't have licenses, this stops new users from getting to know the tool.

Easy to use RPA Tool. The great Support team for any query. It is best for robust process automation.

Previously blue prism was not available for the community, but now it is available. Second is the price of that product is very high.

Great low code platform, however room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism is a great piece of software for low code, easy process automation, its capabilities can be extended far beyond basic UI process automation and integration with Web APIs are easily acheivable.
From a dev environment to a prod environment only takes a few clicks and Blue Prism makes putting your processes live very easy. The key with any RPA platform is that its not a no code solution, there are times that you will have to write your own code, on the platform and Blue Prism is no different. To get the most out of Blue Prism, you will need to dedicate resources to build solutions within Blue Prism otherwise you may not see the cost savings to the product.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Blue Prism is great, it does fall short in some basic integration areas, such as regular expressions in application models and general regex matching as a whole. To really get the most out of the product as previously mentioned you will find yourself writing simple code objects that perhaps the platform could do out of the box (such as checking if a column exists when working with collections)
I think that it would be great if Blue Prism had better integration between a dev and prod environment, at the moment to import new releases you have manually export / import but it would be nice if there was a package release system that automatically imports a new release into a prod environment (thinking of continuous integration).
It would also be great if Blue Prism could integration better testing options such as defined unit tests, before a release is made available, this way a developer can easily catch errors in their code that they might not otherwise be aware of.

At Norfolk County Council, we're using Blue Prism to not only automate our IT requests from end users via Assyst, we are also using the platform to complete payroll related tasks and help with the COVID response by using RPA to automatically register local businesses with the Department of Health and Social Care for the UK's Workplace Surveillence Testing programme. We've only been developing for a few months, however we have managed to save NCC as a whole a huge number of hours just in a few "quick win" type projects.

You can easyly develop and depoly bots in any enviromnet. Just drag and drop the functionality and test ut you are good to go

Add more vbo to the existing library and also can include better version management

We can automate almost any task using bluprism. You can automate tasks that you do more often, develop a bot to to the task , depoly it nad scheule the time period to run the bot, once the execution is done u can see the result/output of ur task
