Automation of repetitive back office tasks
blue prism - so much opportunity
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and logging; BP also shares best practices and community
What do you dislike about the product?
Better reporting, nothing else so far (still implementing)

RPA Blueprism Tool Review
What do you like best about the product?
In blueprism tool like to spying the elements and action stages for different works are like in this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pre requisite for this tool having more complexity and license cost little more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have automated various process and I developed 5 bots and now that bits are running good in production.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blueprism is one of the best RPA tool in the market. RPA developers should learn and work on this tool.
Best Enterprise RPA Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism illustrates the process as a flow diagram, unlike other RPA tool, the UI and drag and drop capabilities of the tool are user friendly. Unlike other RPA tools that uses Psuedocode to create processes, having a flow diagram helps both developer and process owner identify the path and data being driven by the automation. You can also recycle process objects and reuse them to other processes like for example, SSO login process. You can update the SSO login process and changes will cascade to all other processes that uses this updated SSO Login process.
What do you dislike about the product?
What i dislike with Blue Prism is you need to maintain the database it uses and from time to time purge data on it. Blue Prism likes to log ever action and the database will fill up in no time which will make your Blue Prism App not work due to not enough space for the database. At least you can make a process that will auto purge garbage logs that Blue Prism likes to write.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since Blue Prism can integrate with other applications and runs using Win32. It can talk natively to the applications that you want to use with it with ease. Other RPA tools will require you to do a process as surface automation since it can not understand Win32.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Can Implement a Blue Prism Server and have all processes stored in one instance. Helps with development consolidated process handling for production.
Blue Prism is technology of future robotic processing
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use. Even those coming from a non-technical background could grasp the core concepts in a few weeks, and are able to be hands-on after a week!
What do you dislike about the product?
Database maintenance. The UI for Blue Prism database is tedious to navigate and not really powerful enough to handle and maintain a large number of tables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are mostly using Blue Prism to automate redundant tasks around the company flow. We're reaping the benefits of low maintenance, consistent output and much faster task completion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Users with programming and SQL background would have an easier time learning Blue Prism.
Blue Prism - The King of RPA
What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism is a RPA tool that has been in the market for a very long time and has been used my most of the prominent Enterprises.
The product is easy to understand as we can prefer coding or workflows which can be represented in a sequential manner as per the developers preference.
The product is easy to understand as we can prefer coding or workflows which can be represented in a sequential manner as per the developers preference.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interaction with different applications. Lack of inbuilt API features. Run time application.
BP cannot run on Linux or any Unix based SO. It does not have efficient citrix automation facilities.
There are issiues regarding reporting capabilities, because Blue Prism Dashboard / Analytics tiles are very incomplete and cannot be exported or linked with other tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI). In order to build our dashboards and reports we had to get the data directly from the database (MS SQL Server).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blue prism can be used to automate processes that involves myriad of repetitive works that are rule based, which in turn helps to increase the efficiency and decrease the time required to complete the work.
It has been used in my organisation for the processes involving applications like SAP, web applications(google chrome and internet explorer to a very large extent), desktop applications etc.
It works efficiently for the processes like invoice processing, data entry works etc.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blue prism can be prefered over any other RPA tools since it provides highly efficient and accurate outputs and the robots can be schedule 24*7 without taking a break.
Developer for more than 1 year of BP
What do you like best about the product?
It's fast to learn the product and to automate a process. To have the whole product with one license is good
What do you dislike about the product?
The scheduler doesn't have a good interface (example when releasing a new process with new startup parameters, they aren't updated in scheduler). Analytics tab doesn't work properly and there aren't many guides for dashboards. A built in tool to export the ODI would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of financial processes are automated. FTE savings are a focus
Editor of building robots is intuitive and easy to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
The editor or as BP calls, the studio, is fairly intuitive. You "program" a robot as if you were drawing out a process flow in a Vsio-like view. The toolbox gives you a neat look of what's available as building blocks, and the relation between process, object, action is easy to understand. These features make it a low-effort maintenance for most of the robots with minor to medium complexity, and it's possible to put the first happy flow robot live in a short time to cope with instant need of mid-term solution or a resource crisis.
What do you dislike about the product?
BluePrism has a focus on having the robot running on server instead of locally occupying the user's computer; the interactive robots therefore have to be designed differently then the common attended robots. This has not been a downside for us since processes at our area have little to no needs to run locally or real-time interaction with users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used BluePrism to automate a manual "workaround" task, which lasted for more than 5 years and has no hope in getting budget approved with the proposal of conventional automation. The amount of applications involved has limited us to automate with existing tools we have, and not to mention the time wasted from waiting for responses from some applications. With BluePrism, we have a stable mid-term solution, and we created space of 0.25 FTE per day for more challenging topics. We have also used BluePrism to automate reporting tasks and monitoring tasks for data flow, which avoids jumping task to task for our analysts.
Excellent RPA experience with Blue Prism
What do you like best about the product?
Quick and easy installation. Process and Objects hierarchical structures. Can continue to do debugging in middle of flow.
What do you dislike about the product?
not very efficient to deal with different data types like Array, List, Dictionary using "Collection".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blue Prism brings digital workforce and helped clients to process high volume, repetitive, rule-based tasks like tax reconciliation, invoice processing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lots of features in Work Queue, and more powerful tool - Digital exchange can be used in Process/Objects.
