Surpasses the competition

  • April 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I came from a project management background with no computer science knowledge before learning Blue Prism. The flowchart nature of Blue Prism allows the lay person to easily understand how to configure and read the robot's logic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some elements are fairly difficult to reliably spy, where Automation Anywhere and UiPath can more dynamically pick them up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accounting processes. Saving time and effort of dozens of FTE's.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the portal's forums and guides to troubleshoot prior to opening a help desk ticket.

Blue Prism - Product as Promised

  • April 18, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism's approach to configuration of process automations is easy to understand and execute. Our developers came to this role with no experience and less than a year into our endeavor, we feel we have a good handle on the methodology and design concepts. We also appreciate the reusable nature of objects to decrease development time on other processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some basic things that we have had to reach out to Blue Prism for support and sometimes the timeliness or urgency in helping resolve the issue can be lacking. Also, the scheduling capabilities, especially for dynamic scheduling, could be stronger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our objective is to have our associates focused on the work with the most customer value, so automating the redundant, mundane processes helps us move towards that goal.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There were no surprises with the technology - they were able to deliver the product we expected and it meets all our requirements.

New chapter in automation

  • April 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism has allowed us to automate processes that run across multiple applications without changing the existing IT landscape.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quality assurance for new versions is in my view insufficient. Unfortunately we notice again and again that there are errors in the versions. Our release management does not allow short-term version changes, so we often have problems here. Support is eager to support, but in general, the chances of success are very low
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to scarce resources in the IT and for budget investments, we have opted for this solution. We have accelerated the quality and processing times. Customer satisfaction could be increased.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The solution must fit into the architecture of the company. It is also important that you think about the operating model before the introduction.

Best & Worst about BP

  • April 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, wide range of object, plus user has option to create their own actions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Biggest dislike about BP is it's unitability. I have noticed multiple instance where if you are using BP stage, sometime it throws BP internal error. It's really hard to track. Recent example: In one of my project, I was automating mainframe. There I have to add row to collection. This is one of the basic feature of BP. Issue was: Sometime (1 out of 10 run) it throws BP internal error. I tried to contact BP but didn't get satisfactory answer. Luckily, during debug mode, I found the issue was with that stage and I replace it. From then onwards, it was working fine.
So, BP need to review their standard object and make sure they are 100% reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, I am working with EY and we have big list of client ranging in different domains. Example: HR, SCM, Finance, etc. List is big enough to explain over here.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will definitely help a business (where work are rule based) to grow by reducing the man powever and increasing the effiency. It's easy to use. Within few weeks of training, you resource can start working on this tool.
