Better than an IT department
What do you like best about the product?
We were able to implement SSO, provisioning and access control and Apple MDM all without having an IT department. After some setup and config even non-technical users could onboard new employees, assign them credentials and a MacBook and give them access to the online services they needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when MDM commands fail it can be tricky to troubleshoot. The support team is always great but I'd love some more tools to help figure it out without needing to bug them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to easily onboard and unboard employees without a team of people provisioning accounts.
Perfect to manage assets in a remote work environment. Very customizable for Microsoft and Apple.
What do you like best about the product?
Able to run commands with no interruption to co-worker's workflow
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a clean UI, many menus are redundant for managing users and devices. Would perform a simple one-click option for setting up new users

Asset tracking and troubleshooting remotely

What do you like best about the product?
My personal favorite feature would have to be the User Interface layout. As someone who is fairly new to the industry, it can be easy to get overwhelmed when using new webapps with a clunky GUI. Jumpcloud definitely has an intuitive layout. On top of that, they continue to listen to customer feedback and add new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
As time goes on it's harder and harder to find anything that I'm not a big fan of. The main issue is the often outages. While they aren't super often, they are still annoying at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The upcoming mobile app will benefit me quite a bit. It will be an enormous help with adding or deactivating user or device groups while not at my desk. Managing our userbase on business trips will be a breeze now.
A great software which is only getting better
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great central hub for user and device management.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of features that still need to be built we'd love to replace more of our automation software with it but it's not ready yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to use simple scripts to roll out or remove software from devices which saves us the time of having to schedule a meeting with a user and see if our remote access software is broken that day or not.

Inability to lock out phones is my primary issue.

Faster deployment
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would probably not sign up for anticipated users up front and instead add and pay by the user as it takes some time to migrate everyone.
JumpCloud is a great identity management tool that goes above and beyond for managing devices.
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has a simple and clean user interface, but does not lack the functionality of a complicated platform. It is easy to navigate and a very powerful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the knowledge base was more easily accessible and updated more often. I realize this is no easy task since the knowledge base is already very useful and must be constantly attended too, but that is one small improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves the problem of identity management (as well as password management) and can solve many problems with built-in commands/policies as well as options for custom commands/policies.
Easy install, relatively easy to admin if you are not an IT professional

the MDM abilities make things pretty simple to do remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems to be lacking in some of the reporting categories. Would be nice to see a report of uptime and downtime of users being logged into their systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly ensuring devices are accounted for and we can have some governance over how the devices are being used.

What do you like best about the product?
The simple setup and ability to protect windows logins with MFA.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have have issues with setting up chocolatey to push software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to control passwords for my VMs in my lab environment.

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has made IT in our workplace so much easier, especially after we went virtual! I can check who's using which computer, push software to specific users, and change permissions all remotely. It's also convenient being able to log in to Windows, Google Workspace, and the WiFi all with the same password.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Google me to change my password, but it doesn't sync up with my JumpCloud profile. Also, I could not get the JC agent to successfully install on Kubuntu.

Making IT management easier remotely

What do you like best about the product?
The jumpcloud agent deployment is seamless. You can take over any account out there and there is a ton of information available to assist you with provisioning.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve, this is a new product that my team has never used, so the tooling is new. Its free education offered by jumpcloud which makes the burden less cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to steer clear of active directory and try another computer management system. Jumpcloud gave us the ability to control devices, set up groups for policy management, and gave us a better access management story.
