Reasonably good, less expensive than Azure AD, difficult company to deal with.
What do you like best about the product?
The management portal works relatively well--there's still no support for apps using older on-premises AD synchronization, but JumpCloud gives us MFA and user self-service password resets on a variety of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their contract renewal process is somewhat convoluted. We wanted to reduce the number of licenses but they wouldn't let us do that prior to renewal, and then afterward they said it was too late.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Microsoft Azure AD Sync was too expensive for us as a small business, so we looked elsewhere. Jumpcloud works just as well for less. I couldn't say how the other features work, as we don't use them.

JumpCloud allows me to streamline many activities.
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the versatility and convenience that JumpCloud offers. The feature set allows me to customise my deployment while giving me full control over when features are used, how quickly they're implemented and from where users can access them globally. In addition, their device management solution for Windows is incredibly helpful in streamlining employee administration by managing Google Workspace without losing the ability to use Google Sign-In for quick setup or troubleshooting tasks outside of our local networks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup of JumpCloud to be quite tedious and potentially time-saving steps could have been included. The user reports also need to provide more detail that can actually help with decision making or achieving a specific goal. In addition, the process automation is sometimes slow, which severely limits my ability to set up tasks in advance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With JumpCloud, I'm able to save time by centrally managing user accounts across multiple computers and linking their email to Google.
Fantastic Identity Provider!
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is very simple to use. Very feature rich and can give you great control over SAML attributes. I like how you can assume the same id/gid for users in an existing IPA environment so that permissions remain the same and I like how you can upload your own SSH keys, which can then be distributed to the servers that said users have access to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with AD on the devices side is still missing. Would like to be able to control access to domain-joined devices that are remote and aren't always connected to the domain. Would also like to see conditional access policies for admin accounts that only allow you to connect from certain IPs or from devices with the JumpCloud agent installed on them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is solving an issue we have with needing to maintain multiple IPA and Active Directory environments. We also use many SaaS apps and we have been integrating them via SAML to JumpCloud in order to minimize the number of credentials users need to remember. We are also implementing MFA alongside the unification of credentials.
Jumpcloud is an Amazing cloud directory platform
What do you like best about the product?
User management & device management. It is so easy to manage users and devices using the agent. Also, creating groups can help with all the policy requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
All good so far. But I have raised feature requirements from time to time. Such as - Adding device group control under Radius to control Radius access to selected device groups or limiting it to only Jumpcloud managed devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the major challenges as we moved to remote work after covid was solved by Jumpcloud. User management, device management, policy enforcements, remote software installation all these are handy using Jumpcloud
JumpCloud is great for orgs small and large
What do you like best about the product?
It just works and it is extremely more agile than AD. Easy to setup and works great for small orgs with less than 10 ppl it's free. Usually there is a cost fo enter and JC makes it easy to enter and start using the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
We were told it would be free for less than 100 ppl however we ended up having to pay for the platform for 6 ppl.

Directory as a Service
Great tool to manage Windows, Mac, Linux, and Mobile devices -- all in one solution!
What do you like best about the product?
Finally, a cloud-based directory and app provisioning service that works seamlessly across Mac, Windows, Linxus, and mobile devices. We use this tool to support our company of over 300 employees; we're still in the early innings of launching this product, but the rollout has been seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major to call out yet; I hope they'll have more integrations with other popular IT cloud tools in the future. Currently, their native integrations seem lackluster
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is allowing us to package and implement an all-in-one solution for Cloud Directory, Mobile Device Management, Single Sign-On, and Password Policy Enforcements. This gives are users and customers a seamless and much less error-prone experience.

Installing software and manage all computers
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no option for direct remote , I should share the code to the user .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote tools and RIDUS server for now
Looking for a multiplatform solution
What do you like best about the product?
One of the main reasons that we have to use JumpCloud is the support of other operative systems like Linux and MacOS. We are a remote base company using mostly Linux and some kind of security and management for Linux was essential to us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps the learning curve, but you need to adjust and learn like any other product. Also, some integrations with third-party services seem to be in development, but you can support all of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote administration and policy compliance of Linux devices. We wanted a specific Linux designed solution, not Active Directory.
I system admin
What do you like best about the product?
wonderful UI, macs integration , easy to manage
What do you dislike about the product?
google embedded features are low, deployment is not perfect
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
deployment for software
Very good solution for access management and MDM, for distributed endpoints
What do you like best about the product?
it's client-server based functionality really helps managing endpoints in different places and even countries. The product's documentation is very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the MDM features for OS's other than Windows are currently very premature. while the MDM capabilities are very robust, in MacOS and Linux it is very limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do not have active directory in our company, and we also use many different SaaS platforms for our business.
Jumpcloud is able to provide answers to both our problems, in one single product.
