Easy to use, not expansive and cover what we need

  • March 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has what we need to support SOC2 compliance
Easy to login and add users
Can be managed by partners (the team introduced us to a local partner and this was very helpful)
What do you dislike about the product?
We still needed a partner in order to use it and could not manage it alone
Transition of the account to the partner took time
It would be helpful if there was a "Soc 2" gudence / tutorial
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed it for SOC2 compliance
Also to secure endpoint equipment
We benefit financially since other products were more expansive or more complicated to use so it would cost more money to integrate
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Probably better than other solutions
Use a local integrator

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and responsive and helpful support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Had issues with LDAP . Ended up using using RADIUS. That has worked without issues so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Google management, device tracking, VPN credential assignments. At this point we're not large enough to benefit greatly financially but definitiely benefiting from how easy JumpCloud makes everything else.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot you can't go wrong with the free trial.

Jumpcloud review

  • March 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to manage devices and users from a single website. Ability to push software directly through the portal, and the ability to integrate other directories into othe organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are inconsistencies with the way a device handles being offline for extended periods of time. Specifically when a device has a user with a changed password on that device, and then you try to login.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile device management and administration. We are able to provide org-wide policies to all users with simple tools. We are able to focus on developing new controls rather than keeping a fleet consistent.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand what you want to do with the platform first, then get distracted with all the bells and whistles.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like more is it's very resilient, robust and secure. With JumCloud I was able to get rid of the active directory.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that sometimes on Mac laptops there is conflicts between JumpCloud and some Token on the Mac laptop, when that happens we have to wipe the laptop
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to deploy computers remotely, zero touch. With JumCloud I got rid of the active directory.

JumpCloud for Business - March 2022 Review

  • March 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud helps our company bring every device in our company together in one easy platform. We can easily manage Windows, Mac, and Linux machines through one simplistic interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
The few features we need as a company are still in beta such as Apple VPP. When onboarding a new admin, the learning curve for JumpCloud can be quite steep, therefore having the certification test to study and master is essential. It would be great if the level 2 and 3 certifications were released to assist in admin education.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With JumpCloud our company can do things never previously possible. We can remotely set device policies, create users and assign them to various directories all at once, and reset passwords from a central location if necessary. These key features allow our IT team to streamline new employee onboarding easier than ever before.

Great alternative to Active Directory..

  • March 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We were using Active Directory for authentication and SSO however JumpCloud does this simpler and better (even cheaper!) - would recommend to anyone who is looking for a simpler alternative to Active Directory or small businesses that don't have the funds for an IT department or someone hands-on diagnosing errors all day!
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside is the caps on the free package, however for our use case we would just upgrade to the paid plan when needed - they've got to make their money somehow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Active Directory Alternative & SSO

good MDM with patch management

  • March 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud works well with both Windows & Mac. The client installation is straightforward & rarely requires any troubleshooting.
It collects basic information about devices. The search is fast even with a few hundred of devices.
New features are added regularly, I had some interaction with the Product team that implemented and adjusted new features based on my feedback.

The patching policy is working pretty well, on average, we have less than 5% of devices that require manual check/intervention

Policy enforcement works perfectly (we use it to restrict USB mass storage and enforce disk encryption)
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting is lacking, System Insight feels largely useless (and it stores only 90 days of logs). Supposedly you can use the API to collect more information (but should I really have to play with API to get logs...).

Pushing commands/script is usually working but "command results" are not great (doesn't always work properly)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use Jumpcloud as an MDM, making sure we can remotely wipe/lock lost devices. And we manage user's password.
We leverage patch management on +450 devices

A great cloud directory

  • March 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Auto redirection with a single sign-in option is a wonderful way to get access to all the softwares from only one log-in.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Changes to the domain name are not possible.
2. Switch between user and administrator mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is utilised by everyone in the company. We needed a single sign-on solution that was both central and straightforward, with a good user experience and integration. After careful consideration, we chose JumpCloud above the other possibilities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Instead of having a separate user directory for each location, JumpCloud allows us to have a single user directory that spans all on-premise and hosted systems (local, one per AWS Region, GCP, etc). Trying to keep track of all the user directories and users' credentials was more work than it was worth. Within the JumpCloud interface, groups of users can easily be provided access to only the systems they need to perform their jobs. With the enforcement of password strength/renewal criteria, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) to the JumpCloud Portal to manage all of the users, JumpCloud also helps us satisfy PCI Level 1 requirements.
