What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can use the JumpCloud web portal to configure users and provision devices in seconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are new Mac integrations being developed and released but there is not yet support for VPP application provisioning. I would like to be able to manage my Mac users application with
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud gives me cross platform identity management so my cloud and on-premise environments can be secured with the same credentials.
Recommended for managing different identity providers.
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to connect multiple ID providers, provides a good interface for viewing each user, a way to centralize MFA authorization, good organization for SSO with multiple identity providers, one click configurations to device policies,
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface can be a little confusing when viewing in a combined mode; SSO wasn't always intuitive to setup. Software management is limited to one provider at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our initial use in JumpCloud, we were jumbling two different cloud providers for services. We also had a mixed fleet of computers between Apple and PCs. Our use of Jumpcloud allowed us to consolidate these diverse platforms and centralize our user identities to prevent overlook and overlap between these platforms. It also allowed us to transition our Apple devices from another cloud managing service, reducing down the number of services we were using to manage such a diverse fleet. While we appreciated the flexibility and use of this platform when our company was smaller, as we grew, a business decision was made to select one cloud provider and move our fleet away from a mix of diverse computer types to one computer type. If we were still utilizing a mixed fleet and cloud providers, we would still be utilizing JumpCloud in our identity provider.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider JumpCloud if you are managing a diverse set of cloud providers and/or computer platforms in the same organization. Even if you are using it for one platform it will help in reducing your overall total time with one click services for provisioning users and easy SSO transitions.
Jumpcloud provides great directory services at an awesome price
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud's ease of use stands out. Also, the addition of services such as Radius puts them ahead of the pack.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up Radius was a little difficult, but the documentation was good and I didn't have much trouble.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a solution to provide a Radius server for a few clients. I was able to test this out on Jumpcloud for free. It was relatively easy to set up and is easy to maintain.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out -- it's free for up to 10 users and that's a great price :)
The true single-password authentication eutopia of our dreams
What do you like best about the product?
System management, hands down. The features across the board are fantastic, but having the ability to remotely create new user accounts and reset passwords on managed systems at the click of a button is priceless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is prohibitive. The new pricing model allows for a more customized plan, which is nice, but also makes justifying the full platform cost to Finance more difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ditching AD is the big one. But there's no need to be getting rid of AD to reap the benefits of JumpCloud - the seamless integration between Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, computer authentication, SSO, and RADIUS/LDAP make both the user and administrator experience painless.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can manage the cost, get the full set of features. System Management, Directory Management, and SSO are a must, and if you run a network that supports RADIUS authentication, being able to sign into the company wifi with your JumpCloud creds is great.
Convenient User Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like how simple the interface is for individual users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The administrator interface is a little complicated and limited in capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the issue of local PC user management and security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you have enough local storage for individual user files. Networked storage may not be enough to maintain data.
Easier to use
What do you like best about the product?
The directory, devices and MFA, admin console etc
What do you dislike about the product?
the pricing on the highest tier is bit higher.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am still playing with it as I m planning to offer this to my clients

Excellent Directory Service!
What do you like best about the product?
We have really appreciated how JumpCloud leverages the cloud to provide affordable directory services and computer management. From ensuring every system is encrypted, to providing specific policies for users or computers, we've found JumpCloud very easy to use, deploy, and manage, especially for small businesses. Over the past few years, we've also been very impressed with the additional policies and security settings available, which make granular adjustments much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two pain points which come to mind: (1) First, wish there was a multi-tenant dashboard where admins could log on and make global or tenant specific settings. While this is a pain point, honestly, in this regard, it's about the same as managing multiple M365 tenants, which currently has no viable multi-tenant capability. (2) Second, which it's very affordable for small businesses with less than 10 devices, after that point, the pricing seems a little expensive. Especially considering many small businesses need M365 anyway, which includes Azure Active Directory ((AAD), so the use-case scenario becomes: why not just use AAD instead? While we love JumpCloud for the small business niche, it's been more difficult to justify for large businesses or when small businesses grow, and if it becomes cost prohibitive at growth, why not plan in advance for that by going with AAD if future growth seems possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One main problem that JumpCloud solves is quickly deploying computer and user management for today's mobile workforce. An account can be created and within minutes deployed to remote systems, and policies extended to either users or computers. With the mobile devices being used from almost anywhere, the encryption ability is very very valuable to ensure company data is encrypted. Another benefit has been to be able to centrally manage policies, for example, browser settings, firewall settings, Cortana, Edge, OneDrive, etc, the possibilities are almost endless and were easy to deploy!
Not perfect, but the future of managing a modern, mixed environment
What do you like best about the product?
Perfect for hybrid Windows/Mac environment. Great feature set, and improving monthly. Combines Identity and Device Management in one.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still not as featured as Active Directory/Azure. Support has become sub-standard so you'll need to figure out most problems yourself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like many businesses, we moved into becoming fully remote. We also have an almost 50/50 split Mac/Windows environment and have no physical infrastructure. JumpCloud was an ideal solution to manage the hardware, as well as Identity Management. We've connected many of the core applications the company uses with SSO and the process for on-boarding/off-boarding employees has been greatly improved. It's enabled us to connect a majority of the applications we use with SSO which greatly simplifies credential management. That, combined with the device management and MDM is everything one needs as an IT manager in a remote-based company.
Robust iDP capable of complete active directory replacement
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud provides robust identity management services with integrations for AD, LDAP, SAML, Radius, and other providers for easy provisioning. Additionall, the Agent, Policies, and Commands allow it to effectively replace your existing Active Directory structure and allow for remote administration of company computers, without needing a VPN or Azure Cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of the limitations when working outside the Domain/User structure Windows intended, some feature replacements are clunky - you are largely limited to applying registry tweaks, rather than proper GPO's. All devices create independent local accounts for all users who can login to the machine. While this is not an issue for WFH employees, multi-user machines in the office will quickly fill up with local accounts. Granular user permissions which would typically be managed through the built-in Default Groups must now be assigned manually through Powershell on a per-user and per-machine basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are phasing out our Active Directory structure as employees transition to work-from-home. With all our other services fully cloud-based, keeping VPN connections solely to support Active Directory was a waste of time and resources, and Jumpcloud has allowed us to pull machines off the domain while retaining remote administration capabilities.
