An excellent way to consolidate multiple sign-ins

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Jumpcloud interface makes it simple to grant and revoke credentials across various different services.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface loads strangely in some browsers. The system locks users out with little warning when passwords expire. User adoption can be a bear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jumpcloud mainly as a local identity provider, to allow us to manage MacOS users in lieu of using roaming profiles. We can create and delete local accounts across our fleet effortlessly with Jumpcloud.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Jumpcloud because it is easy to use and deploy to my existing environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hope in the future Jumpcloud becomes more affordable especially for high volume organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My users only have to remember one set of credentials and from an administration perspective, I only need to manage one account per user.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try and you will be happy with what you can benefit from using the service.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Supports both Windows and Mac platforms along with upcoming MDM custom mobile-config integration for Mac OS which is cost saving to drop other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some interfaces are a little slow to load for large organisations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Directory/IAM for the organisation on multiple OS platforms (Windows & MacOS) without Active Directory involved.

Jumpcloud is the tool for security 2.0

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud was a shift in our software and security thinking. It took us from being a business that thought of security as a side note to a business that understood that we needed to be cybersecurity first and convenience second. We went through a rebirth of sorts and whilst it was a pain for the first week or two, now, I can't imagine not using Jumpcloud to manage our infrastructure. It is an impressive piece of technology that allows us to better understand the digital breadcrumbs that can allow us to work both internally and externally to protect our data and by extension our Client's data. Given that we work in a law firm environment, something like that is vital.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a teething period when a person comes to use a new technology and jumpcloud definetly did that. Having to improve our understanding and information to the point where we used jumpcloud properly was somewhat tedious and annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of ensuring that we can authenticate which user and where.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should ensure you have an IT provider who understands and is best able to work with you to make sure that Jumpcloud is up to scratch. It needs some TLC and some understanding to improve the system to the stage where is it understood and easily integrates. That being said, it is the kind of product that can replace an entire host ofo ther products once it is up and running so that makes it a very powerful and worthwhile investment in both time, money, energy and appropriate levels of stress.

Solid central auth platform - more then enough intergrations for almost any company

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Single place to auth all systems - SAAS and OnPrem. Enforce policies and report against them with Insights
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit clunky, not always the smoothest UI
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since source for auth - no more 22 passwords per user depending on what they need.

Excellent solution for SMB's looking to get rid of an old AD Server AND need more functionality

  • June 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a viable, cost effective solution to replace the key functions found in AD.
What do you dislike about the product?
In larger businesses, it was a difficult sell compared to Okta
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing 2008 server installs where client has moved apps and data to cloud. JC allows the AD type function without the cost of replacement hardware, server os, install, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easier to implement in a SMB compared to Okta

Easy to trial, and good communication from Support

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The free <=10-user tier makes it very easy to try integrations and options on a case-by-case basis, and to carry out Proof of Concept trials.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot see any way to brand the login page or dashboard that my users encounter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are looking for a central directory that allows us to unify the onboarding/offboarding of users across our various cloud services; while JumpCloud doesn't handle 100% of the integrations needed for this it covers the basics fully, especially via SAML. At the same time, being able to manage the state of end-user workstations with the same tool is a benefit other 'login services' don't offer, and once again although JumpCloud doesn't compete with a specialist end-user-security tool, it provides a great range of features in the base product and will help you ensure the security of your devices when offboarding.

Excellent SaaS authentication

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud made desktop authentication easy. A small shim on the desktop and you're off to the races. The data collected by Jumpcloud is useful for troubleshooting and tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the desktop authentication piece is pretty straightforward and easy to set up, other features have a bit of a learning curve. If you want to do things like set up printers, install apps, etc. then you'll need to learn a little bit of scripting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Company was using a local active directory server. When they moved to multiple sites, this became untenable. One massive benefit of moving to JumpCloud was the ability to enable WFH, especially given the current pandemic conditions.
