Solid central auth platform - more then enough intergrations for almost any company

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Single place to auth all systems - SAAS and OnPrem. Enforce policies and report against them with Insights
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit clunky, not always the smoothest UI
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since source for auth - no more 22 passwords per user depending on what they need.

  • July 07, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use LDAP implementation, detailed documentation and very effective system management
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to see secured RADIUS communication
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To easily provide access to non domain computers and non domain/internal users

Excellent solution for SMB's looking to get rid of an old AD Server AND need more functionality

  • June 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a viable, cost effective solution to replace the key functions found in AD.
What do you dislike about the product?
In larger businesses, it was a difficult sell compared to Okta
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing 2008 server installs where client has moved apps and data to cloud. JC allows the AD type function without the cost of replacement hardware, server os, install, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easier to implement in a SMB compared to Okta

Easy to trial, and good communication from Support

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The free <=10-user tier makes it very easy to try integrations and options on a case-by-case basis, and to carry out Proof of Concept trials.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot see any way to brand the login page or dashboard that my users encounter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are looking for a central directory that allows us to unify the onboarding/offboarding of users across our various cloud services; while JumpCloud doesn't handle 100% of the integrations needed for this it covers the basics fully, especially via SAML. At the same time, being able to manage the state of end-user workstations with the same tool is a benefit other 'login services' don't offer, and once again although JumpCloud doesn't compete with a specialist end-user-security tool, it provides a great range of features in the base product and will help you ensure the security of your devices when offboarding.

Excellent SaaS authentication

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud made desktop authentication easy. A small shim on the desktop and you're off to the races. The data collected by Jumpcloud is useful for troubleshooting and tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the desktop authentication piece is pretty straightforward and easy to set up, other features have a bit of a learning curve. If you want to do things like set up printers, install apps, etc. then you'll need to learn a little bit of scripting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Company was using a local active directory server. When they moved to multiple sites, this became untenable. One massive benefit of moving to JumpCloud was the ability to enable WFH, especially given the current pandemic conditions.

JumpCloud DaaS is a great alternative to AD!

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For cloud-centric organizations, JumpCloud offers all the functionality we need to manage users, devices and provide single sign-on from many SAML, LDAP and RADIUS apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Built-in MFA could be easier to use. Currently it uses TOTP, would like it to use a push-notification app like Microsoft Authenticator (without having to pay for additional licensing, like Duo.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has allowed us to run a non-AD, platform agnostic directory infrastructure. We also use it to install software and various other configuration.

JumpCloud for Directory Management

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The centralised control that it provides across all of our systems. We are able to add users, provision them on various directories, such as Google, and have used the SSO functionality extensively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Password change on Mac has been problematic in the past. Apple were changing very quickly and JumpCloud didn't appear to be keeping up. That appears to be behind us now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralised directory management - allows fine-grained control on system access and immediate revocation of access if required. It has become much easier to manage access to our systems.

Excellent Active Directory alternative

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
No on premise equipment to maintain. Multiple "servers" in one (RADIUS, credential mgmt, etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have a better formatted web version for mobile devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to setup a RADIUS wifi network, MFA logon for Windows laptops, and VPN access. Simplifies credential mgmt by having a single authority.

Jumpcloud is a very good product that helps us operate more efficiently and securely

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to control security features on computers and setup workstations remotely. The SSO integrations are very strong and allow you to create users in other applications if the integrations are set up. The MDM control for Apple products is very useful and makes managing them much easier. PC management is also improving as they roll new features out. User management, updating passwords, and giving users access to applications is very easy and straightforward. The ability to create users in other applications makes my onboarding process much smoother and easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to update 150 user names to what we have on the local computer for them to capture the account. The VPN system was difficult so set up but may have something to do with our network technology. They didn't provide the best support to help solve this but there are a lot of network solutions in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation when creating accounts across the SaaS products we use, giving us a cloud directory and controlling computer security, and a SSO for users to access applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Explore all of the things JumpCloud has to offer and put a plan together to do a complete rollout because it's easy to get side tracked and not take advantage of everything they have to offer. Make sure to test out policies before rolling them out to all users in the company. Consider how the solution will work with the rest of your systems as a whole.

Strong Product, Excited for Future Developments

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it seems JumpCloud is trying to develop an all inclusive solution for management both access, but devices through the introduction of the MDM platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features are still in their infancy, which is a dislike, but, I would say if they are delivered well that will be a plus for JumpCloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password management and increased security posture. Our organization used to have no passwords linkage, so users were responsible for remembering many passwords. Additionally, access to Wi-Fi can be controlled with JumpCloud via their radius solution, meaning one less call to the help desk.
