Easy and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is logical and easy to navigate. Terminology used is pretty standard, and setting up SAML for use in my application was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Understandable, but the strong marketing / sales approach after signup even as a development user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping JumpCloud users integrate and connected with SAML to our environment.
Exceptional mix of services at a fair price
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud brings control over authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) back into the hands of your organization, even though you no longer have on-premises infrastructure providing such services. No longer are you limited to "doing things your cloud provider's way", potentially limiting which actual cloud-hosted applications - particularly SaaS - you choose in support of your user base. JumpCloud is open, extensible, multi-platform, highly available, and doesn't artificially steer one towards using "just one" provider simply to avoid duplication of AAA sustainment effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve can be a little high for small organizations that do not have system administrators with many years' previous experience; however, this quickly pays off with the more enterprise-grade user experience received immediately afterward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My own organization - and many similar ones for which I provide IT consulting services - needs higher availability levels for AAA services of the type JumpCloud provides, but can no longer easily justify the cost of maintaining such services privately. Hosting Windows domain controllers, OpenLDAP servers, authentication portals, etc. in a commercial cloud might be an option, but for a small organization (<50 people), JumpCloud provides an in-depth, comprehensive set of AAA services at a much more sustainable price. One system administrator can handle ALL of the necessary tasks because they spend their time focused on AAA itself, not the underlying infrastructure - physical or virtual - that hosts it. This has led to more holistic consumption of AAA services and a more cohesive experience for my users: Whether using resources still hosted in on-premises servers/clouds, IaaS-hosted applications in other clouds, or commercial SaaS, their AAA experience is seamless and consistent.
Simple and User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
As a small church, we were looking for a platform that was intuitive and easy to set up. JumpCloud allowed us to hit the ground running quickly without the need to learn an entirely new system for device management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I will say the only thing missing is the ability to manage updates remotely. You can disable updates, but you cannot trigger an update, or allow specific updates. For example, I would like to allow specific OS version updates remotely, but that is not possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote user management and device setup.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It takes a bit of time to set up, along with troubleshooting depending on what settings you are restricting/allowing. Once setup, it's a breeze to add additional users and accounts to any computer/device.
JumpCloud is an excellent tool for WFH businesses
What do you like best about the product?
JC gives us the tools to keep our users productive while WFH. The IT department can install and upgrade software remotely through terminal commands, authentication is very secure, we use SSO to login to all our applications and websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support is a little iffy. Some techs are very good while others are so so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The IT department can install and upgrade software remotely through terminal commands, authentication is very secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot. The first 10 users are free

Directory as a service, Security, Zero touch /remote onboarding
Great Cloud Directory
What do you like best about the product?
It integrates the cloud with my mobile users
What do you dislike about the product?
I pretty much like everything about it that it offers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cheaper cost from using A cloud server. Very user friendly
Best thing since the invention of whipped cream
What do you like best about the product?
To be able to manage multiple users on multiple platforms in multiple locations with different user bases.
What do you dislike about the product?
That i can't wait for more features. There is a lot in the pipeline and i can't wait for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To be able to manage large usergroups from any place. I realised that this is truly management freedom.
Great Scalability!
What do you like best about the product?
This was so easy to setup and deploy. It made access controls accessible to our small business and allows for easy user management. It is easy to scale, we started with just a subset of our users and then brought everyone on board.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike. Occasionally a user login takes slightly longer than a local directory but that is a negligible different.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security and ease of use were always problems for use. This is allowing us to have anyone manage their account and any manager set up new account for staff.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a simple to deploy solution that is flexible and scalable this is your answer.
Simple authentication without the overhead
What do you like best about the product?
I've used the solution for several years now and have been very happy with the ability to eliminate the need and the cost of AD architecture for small business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that SSO integration was a bit more intuitive, the capability is there but I've not had the time to dig in to integrate yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device authentication has become a simple, always-functioning process. Password resets can be handled remotely even when there is not traditional management architecture!
