Identity Automation and Lifecycle Management becomes very easy.
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud aims to Make Work Happen by providing simple, secure access to company IT resources from any device or location. It is a zero-trust directory platform that provides single sign-on, cloud LDAP, Cloud RADIUS, multi-factor authentication, device management, server access, and other features.
What do you dislike about the product?
This allows secure, efficient network access and enhances control across locations. However, it lacks alerts for resource usage, improved identity synchronization with Office 365, and full VPN support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud's effectiveness in managing heterogeneous IT environments that include a mix of Windows, macOS, and Linux devices is highlighted as a significant differentiator and is highly valued by users, particularly in organizations that are not standardized on a single operating system.
Great cloud directory and MDM solution
What do you like best about the product?
It works well as a corporate cloud directory and MDM solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on your utilization, it can be considered expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps us to manage devices remotely.
Ease to use, Great productive tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about JumpCloud is its seamless cloud-based directory platform, which simplifies user and device management across various operating systems. The intuitive interface, strong security features, and ease of integration with multiple applications make IT administration efficient and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect I dislike about JumpCloud is that some advanced features feel less customizable compared to on-premises solutions. Additionally, occasional sync delays and a learning curve for integrating with legacy systems can pose challenges for new administrators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves the problem of managing users, devices, and access across diverse operating systems and platforms from one cloud-based console. This unified approach eliminates the need for multiple management tools, enhances security, and streamlines IT operations, saving time and reducing administrative overhead.
Centralized access just by jumpcloud
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud help us to centralize all our access in one place which help us a lot with compliance and daily access job in level of servers or mobile devices
What do you dislike about the product?
MDM experience a little issue but it dosen't affect the function of it I think it need more enhancement but as a value for a price it's much better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it save a lot of time and secure our access specially on onboarding and off boarding process, good thing you have one place control every thing
Straightforward, reliable SSO product with a ton of integrations
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud does a lot right. The user and group management is dead simple — intuitive, quick to set up, and easy to maintain. Integrates with a ton of services out of the box, which makes it a solid hub for identity and access. The cost is reasonable too.
What do you dislike about the product?
No pulumi provider for IAC makes it a hard tool to automate against. While there is a terraform module, that isn't our primary IAC provider. Alongside this the mobile app has a bad name and is often hard to locate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating SSO with all of our applications has been a breeze. Previously we had hundreds of users using custom accounts for every single service.
Jumpcloud makes user and device management easy
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of adding new devices to manage and the built in integrations make it easy to use. Setting up groups for devices and users is a breeze and attaching security policies to them is as well. What use to take several hours now takes just a few minutes. I spend more time waiting on software updates and reboots then actual user and device setup. Customer support is quick to respond when I have run into an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major dislikes more like gripes. Password manager will sometimes have to be re-setup after updates for users and either paired with another device they are bound to or from a backup. M365 integration doesnt allow the use of Display name for mailboxes, pushes First/Last and we have to routinely fix in M365 admin for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No on premises hardware to maintain. Easy user and device management.
Very robust platform functionality
What do you like best about the product?
One tool that handles many security functions for your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way licensing is handled is a bit wonky. They take the unti count of a high water mark within the entire month and bill you monthly for users exceeding your agreed-upon user count. So, if you mistakenly import a group of users that weren't supposed to be there, and immediately delete those users, you will still be billed for them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud gives us the ability to centrally manage a fully remote workforce. With a mixture of Windows and MacOS endpoints, JumpCloud gives us the ability for centrally based IAM. Remote endpoint management is critical for a non-traditional corporate network and this tool gives us the ability to do just that along with access management.
Comprehensive MDM Solution, Needs More Control
What do you like best about the product?
I find JumpCloud's mobile device management, password management, single sign-on, and conditional access features extremely useful. The ease and straightforwardness of the platform have been impressive, and I value the seamless integration capabilities, particularly with single sign-on. JumpCloud's team treats clients with great respect and maintains consistent follow-ups, making the experience remarkable even for smaller clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I had more control in the settings directly within MDM. While the platform offers a lot of features, many of them are preconfigured, limiting the amount of direct management I can exert over systems. I'd prefer more fine-tuned control via the GUI, which would prevent the need to create special scripts for changes. Additionally, a one-click profile change feature to align workstations with certain cybersecurity frameworks would be highly beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to secure and manage a variety of machines across different platforms, simplifying compliance and IT management while providing MDM, SSO, and password management benefits.
Looking forward to a direct partnership
What do you like best about the product?
helpful reps! I have worked with a rep on a client call and they were very helpful in answering questions for my client
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud not being a direct partner. Because Jumpcloud needs to be quoted through a distributor, it is hard to get clients moved through Jumpcloud becuase it is more expensive than direct
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of setting up MDM for my clients
My Jumpcloud experience
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use once everything has been setup is excellent, i have only just started using the software myself as a customer service engineer, But already i am picking up on stuff for more advanced troubleshooting.
Its very easy to integrate in an existing stack no matter what hardware is used and quick to implement no matter if you are used to 365 or Google workspace (in my case both of them)
Its very easy to integrate in an existing stack no matter what hardware is used and quick to implement no matter if you are used to 365 or Google workspace (in my case both of them)
What do you dislike about the product?
Extensive catalogue of learning articles that can be a bit overwhelming at the start, but you can get over it by taking bite sized training sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it easy to manage multiple accounts in one simple to use environment, and allows the customers to use any type of device.
