A Game-Changer for Modern IT and Identity Management
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has become an essential part of our IT stack. It simplifies identity and access management with a user-friendly UI, robust policy enforcement, and seamless device management. We’ve significantly improved our onboarding and off-boarding workflows through JumpCloud’s MDM, SSO, and user lifecycle features. The platform’s flexibility allows us to manage macOS, Windows, and Linux devices, apply conditional access, and enforce security controls—all from a single dashboard. Zero-touch deployment and integrations with tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, and Zoom have made remote support and compliance a breeze. Their customer support is also always a great help!
What do you dislike about the product?
While JumpCloud is incredibly powerful, some features like reporting and user activity logs could benefit from deeper granularity and better export options. Additionally, the learning curve for setting up advanced policies or SSO mappings can be a bit steep for first-time users. That said, the documentation is improving and their support team is always available to help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has allowed us to consolidate multiple tools into one secure platform. We’ve eliminated the need for legacy Active Directory setups and significantly improved visibility and control over endpoints, users, and app access. It supports our compliance efforts and gives us peace of mind with its Zero Trust architecture. Onboarding now takes minutes instead of hours, and IT can scale securely without added complexity.
Wonderful
What do you like best about the product?
I like how JumpCloud simplifies user and device management across different systems, it’s especially handy for managing remote teams securely without needing a bunch of separate tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit complex to set up at first, especially for smaller teams or those new to directory platforms. Some features also feel limited unless you’re on a higher-tier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JC is solving the challenge of managing users, devices, and access across different platforms from one place. It’s helped streamline onboarding, improve security with centralized policies, and reduce the need for multiple tools—all of which saves time and keeps things more organized
Greatest tool
What do you like best about the product?
Device management at our fingertips has never been better or easier to implement. The mobile device onboarding is easy to integrate, and if there are ever any issues, we know their customer support has our back. There are many great features to list, but our most used is their password manager. It is our day-to-day tool for our customers' device management.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to Apple backup, we sometimes struggle since there is no backup management for these devices. It is difficult to ensure these devices have a backup with JC. We often have to use a different tool to get backups done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us manage our customers devices and passwords.
First time using JumpCloud
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a first time Administrator using JumpCloud. I've used many Endpoint management toolsets in the past including InTune, Ninja, ScaleFusion, ManageEngine and have to say that I'm impressed with JumpClouds intuitive interface and straightforward setup. I've inherited the setup of JumpCloud and find it to be far simpler of a learning curve than previous systems. It is easy to navigate and I was able to get up to speed and running very quickly, which has been very valuable in a fast growing organisation. The JumpCloud University is an absolute game changer! Don't change it, you are onto something great at JumpCloud. Others will need to play catchup with you.
What do you dislike about the product?
My initial experience as a first time admin on JumpCloud has been overwhelmingly positive. At this stage, I have no dislikes to mention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently IM, AM, MFA, UEM. We are also setup as an MSP and in the early stages of offering this to clients.
Jumpcloud from IT manager's perspective
What do you like best about the product?
MDM support is the feature we most use, and find the connection to apple mdm servers to work very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The change from person to person chat support to AI chat bot was disappointing, in the prior system I would have pointed that the support was one of the major benefits of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MDM support of all end user machines. As well as security policy enforcement and code pushing.
Better than using traditional Active Directory.
What do you like best about the product?
That is all centralized in one platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs to have user policy and computer policy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The complexity of Active Directory itself and simplifying.
Easy management with Jumpcloud
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly dashboard. Works with multiple SSO applications
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of geofencing capability. Limited reporting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On boarding users and assigning applications to a specific work group
excellent product, a great ally
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of management, the large number of integrations, and the technical knowledge of professional services members.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing. I think there are areas that could be improved, for example, suspended users are billed. Another issue is the lack of a free tier for some products that allows for testing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized management of devices and login to them.
Best tool for remote/hybrid companies.
What do you like best about the product?
Secured, featured reach and without limitations. We've been using JC for 7 years now and we can't live without it. From Cloud directory (sync with EntraID and Google) to MDM, jumpcloud has it all and is constantly adding new features: SaaS management, Trusted devices, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be awesome if it would have a compliance section to consolidate evidence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote working security made easy. Secure controls with Trusted devices only. Passwordless logins. MDM for Mac, iOS, Windows, Androud and Linux. Patch management. conditional access policies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it
Useful and practical
What do you like best about the product?
We use JC at my organization to sync users' local credentials with their Google Workspace account. At the start we hit a few snags as we were learning to use the tool but the support provided by JumpCloud's team was instrumental in getting our users enrolled. Our organization mostly uses M365 so we only have a few users on JumpCloud but they are able to sign in every day and reset their passwords with little to no issue. The integration is very simple as well, all you have to do is send the user an invitation and have them click on a link.
What do you dislike about the product?
We accidentally synced every user in Google Workspace in Jumpcloud and were being charged for almost 200 licenses when we only needed 9. It would be nice if they were to implement a warning to prevent that from happening, and make it easier to remove users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to a merger, our organization is split into two, where one half of the users are on Microsoft 365 and the other half are on Google Workspace. Previously we were creating Microsoft accounts for everyone, even those who mostly used Google because it was the only way we knew to remotely manage and sync their logins. Once we discovered JumpCloud, we were able to reduce the licensing fees from Microsoft by offloading those accounts. Now the users in our other company can be onboarded with just a Google account. It reduces our workload and makes things easier on end users since they have fewer credentials to keep track of.
