Simple, effective and easy to maintain

  • August 15, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cross platform adaptivity: We have several flavors of OS's with different versions each - JumpCloud was easily installed on the different machines with relatively easy custom configurations.
What do you dislike about the product?
A tad on the expensive side for SSO integration. We have several apps that already link to our Google SSO, but they're usually included in the basic paid version of the service we use. No so for jumpcloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MDM solution. We need a single solution to maintain disk encryption, signin-restrictions, remote control/access/wipe/lock capability, and single page to view all corporate machine status.

I tried to compare between aws SSO

  • August 10, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very attractive as well as easy for beginners, navigation to the different menus is also easy, cheaper than other products, and easy to integrate with other products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Should have the option to integrate with AWS Single sign-on for flexibility, Also user creation with rights option need to be improved, and there should be predefined groups for the user that will help beginners to start with it, they should have multiple location for better performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we have multiple applications in the organization, jump cloud is providing us with user authentication tokens and federated identities for login to different accounts. jump cloud is cheaper than other products. We have multiple locations in multiple regions.

One of the Best Products Out for Easily Integrating LDAP and RADIUS Authentication

  • August 06, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a Huge Fan of the Microsoft 365 Integration for RADIUS. This has been a huge help for meeting compliance requirements without having to deploy on-premise servers. I'm also really impressed with the Two-Factor Authentication capabilities, which enable us to have 2FA for both Users and Administrators when authenticating via RADIUS to our Wireless Networks or when Admins need to administer a Switch, Firewall, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Mobile Device Management tools within JumpCloud are currently a bit limited, in my opinion. I'm assuming these will grow over time, and I would consider moving to a singular platform like JumpCloud if & when the functionality becomes available because I'm already leveraging both Intune and JAMF. I've only tested the JumpCloud MDM tools on two (2) IOS and one (1) Andriod device, but prefer Microsoft Intune or JAMF for performing this type of administration and management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are leveraging JumpCloud for Network Authentication (802.1x) through the RADIUS Server functionality. We have integrated our Microsoft 365/Azure tenant with JumpCloud RADIUS, which allows our End-Users to authenticate to our Corporate Wireless Networks with their AD Credentials and Two-Factor Authentication. Additionally, our Network & Firewall Administrators leverage JumpCloud for Authenticating with 2FA to our FortiGate Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Cisco Wireless Controllers and APs.

Small and Simple

  • August 05, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is incredibly user-friendly. Anyone with MDM experience will be able to pick it up and run with it. Configuration is simple, as is management. The key here is simple, simple, simple. If you're wanting something incredibly robust that can do anything you want, Jumpcloud is probably not for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it's so simple there may be things you cannot do. One point that we've had trouble with initially is deploying apps to Windows devices. You need to have a public repository to host the install files. JumpCloud doesn't have anything for this unless it's in their Chocolate repo. Mac is super easy especially if the app is in the app store.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't have an MDM yet we had a globally diverse workforce. We were able to get JumpCloud pushed out to all of our devices and make sure that we were able to get our security policies pushed. We are now able to use JumpCloud to push more software that we need our users to have as the company continues to grow.

A perfect solution.

  • August 04, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is the industry leader in this space. We use Jumpcloud for our entire org and it has allowed us better visibility into some of our core processes and we are happy we went this direction.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest there really isn't anything negative that I have to say about Jumpcloud. Nothing that would be outside of the realm of nitpicking. This tool has it all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to get better metrics on our machines and what is going on with them at all times. This has been a pain point for the longest time and jump cloud has solved those.

    E-Learning

This solution works pretty seamlessly once you can identify specific nuances with different devices.

  • August 03, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is widely supported for most devices. Great for our workplace with mixed OS platforms. The daemon does not noticeably impede performance unless the machine is severely outdated. Has great support for older operating systems and systems that are nearing their true end of life. The graphical user panel for administration is very well laid out and intuitive, and it is easy to find things using an educated guess. Documentation is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of behavioural nuances when dealing with different models of laptops that presents a steeper learning curve than intended. Sometimes the admin panel UI feels clunky or sticky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to manage a variety of computing devices remotely as we are now a fully remote company. The ease of use for end users is great for us because not many are super computer savvy, and a majority of them are on board with just having to remember one password to get into their resources.

CEO Lacks customer vision

  • August 02, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It works fairly well overall with multiple platforms and and has potential.
What do you dislike about the product?
CEO changed 10 "Always Free" licenses to when you hit 11th license you get billed for all of them. Account rep will push you to sign up for 100 licenses and then no more 10 free at all. They did away with a la cart pricing that was $8/mo now $10.40/Mo.LDAP with Synology NAS and SMB is a dumpster fire.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supports multiple platforms
