Great way to boost IT capabilities in a multi-platform environment

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about JumpCloud is that it works great with both Mac and PC.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin page is not mobile friendly at all and I have had to use it from my phone on a couple of occasions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our company we use a fix between the two and historically it was difficult to manage machines. We have had multiple occasions where an employee leaves the company with their computer locked with their credentials and we jump loops to try to reset that machine. Since we got JumpCloud we manage every machine and don't run into such problems. Also, I love the script running ability. I worked from home last week and an employee had an issue with her mac so I could use the script running tool to enable ssh on her machine and install a port forwarding tool which enabled me to access her machine and assist her remotely.

Oustanding Directory as a service!

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that we can add a whole new level of control to our clients that do not have Active Directory or want to eliminate an in house server.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downsides we have are lack of AD integration which has now been solved and we would like to have more default policies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance needs of our clients and the ability for us to better support our clients and provide a higher level of security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please give JumpCloud a try you will not be disappointed.

Keeps SSH keys and logins in sync

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Keep logins and permissions among a small team of engineers in sync across a small fleet of servers can be taxing. JumpCloud makes it incredibly easy. SSH keys and logins are kept in sync so it's painless to SSH into every machine with the same credentials. In addition, the same logins can be authenticated via LDAP-as-a-service for our VPN servers. One less thing to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their free plan is so generous that I'll never reach the limits that would require a paid plan. I wish I could pay them for something. The service is fantastic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Granting access to resources to our developers and engineers was a pain. When an employee left, it was a hassle to find which machines they had access to and remove their accounts. With JumpCloud it's a piece of cake. Click a few checkboxes for the machines they should access -- and remove the account from JumpCloud to remove them from all systems.

Excellent Desktop Client Experience

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has allowed us to utilize directory management, desktop policy enforcement and SSO without the need for Active Directory. This has allowed us to further our security implementation initiatives and streamlined our IT workflows such as new user onboarding and access requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more SSO + provisioning applications available. I would also like to see generic login/Site shortcuts available in the Applications page. It would also be nice if the file transfer command feature was larger than 1MB but this is a minor complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to not have to maintain any on-prem servers. Has sped up the development of our security policies within the organization
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand the benefits and limitations. It is a wonderfully simple tool to implement and use but can be a pain when you run into bugs (particularly with the user agent on an end user desktop or laptop).

Great for small and medium sized businesses.

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Central control from anywhere is key for me. I manage a number of small and medium business networks in town as a part of my business. Having to constantly travel to those locations to work with the domain is not always convenient. After the migrating my first client and having a great result, I've looked to move the rest when it was time to upgrade their domain controller server.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point I would like to see tighter integration with Office 365.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User access for computers and SaaS solutions. Allows my clients' employees to have a single place for password management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JumpCloud is a great appropriately priced solution. I recommend it to all my clients.

Great product with excellent support

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful and easy to use with a good list of partner integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints so far, good videos available and I'm used to online training
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our managed services business like central control with security in mind, JumpCloud offers that in spades. I'd highly recommend this solution and use it to manage PC's in a work-group and identity management from a single location.

JumpCloud has helped us grow in an effective and efficient manner while controlling costs.

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Not needing an on-premise directory solution has saved us quite a bit of upfront and ongoing costs. The SSO is well supported and supports all the vendors that we require. Support is the best in the business and always helpful when we need some assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud does a good job at what it is trying to do. My advice would be to make some of the more advanced features more user friendly, such as their new Systems Manager feature. Require less people to use APIs for all functionality of JumpCloud and more UI based options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved our Directory needs, our SSO needs and our Radius needs with JumpCloud. We make use of the policies module and use every aspect of JumpCloud to the fullest.

Amazing Cloud Directory Service - Goodbye Active Directory

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is nimble and robust - we have increasing added use of their cloud directory as they have built out their offering. Stability has been great and so much easier to manage than AD. JumpCloud has repeatedly demonstrated an interest in understanding our specific needs and works to accommodate them whenever possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if JumpCloud leaned in more to SSO and allow us to utilize them for all directory/SSO needs. Current JumpCloud app support for SSO is fairly basic and I understand they are adding apps, but other vendors have support for thousands of apps already.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize JumpCloud to manage access to all end-user compute devices, access to our user VPN system, access to our WiFi networks and are investigating using it to manage other aspects of our infrastructure. We should soon eliminate all dependancies on our legacy Microsoft Active Directory and can sunset that infrastructure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Automate the agent deployment.

Easy to maintian

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to set up a new work station. Very fast and easy password management. It is easy and fast to update user's passwords, or lock them out once they leave the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is built with admin pros, and larger companies. It would be cool to have some of the larger features for smaller shops. Like intergrations with apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy user and computer management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Works great with Macs and iphones.

Jumpcloud

  • August 14, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things we like about Jumpcloud is its ease of deployment and use. We also really like the command function of Jumpcloud. We were able to use commands to uninstall our old antivirus and deploy a new one. Something that was more challenging in Active Directory.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one gripe we have about Jumpcloud is it cost is a bit expensive. But we find it is worth it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We completely replaced active directory. We are able to push command out to our machines to deploy fixes or uninstall/reinstalls with ease.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My recommendations are to give Jumpcloud a try. You will like what you see!
