What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud’s MDM is a game-changer for keeping devices in check. It makes it easy to manage and secure all your devices in one place, no matter the mix of Macs, Windows, or others. The setup is straightforward, so you don’t have to be an MDM pro to get things running smoothly. It’s just a great way to keep everything organized and secure without the usual hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud could have a better solution for deploying software to MacOS. They have a great way of doing this for Windows devices already.

Not having to hire more technicians or analysts is the main one.
Due to the tenant structure, one technician can easily manage more clients with ease.

Good way to standardize access

  • November 06, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the way of standardizing access to the corporate environment in just one place, so we control access, password reset, and group addition here in IT all in one location.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe that the ADM platform could have changes in its dashboard, improvements in the ways users search, and alteration of the users' names; their first names end up being last in the search and the full surname in front.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accesses, password reset, login unlocking for the equipment. Help by having everything in one place.

JumpCloud and JumpCloud Password Manager

  • November 06, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a great LDAP alternative to Windows Active Directory as well as the JumpCloud SSO functionality, which is very convenient in my day-to-day workflow
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, my experience with the JumpCloud LDAP and SSO has been great. However, the JumpCloud password manager (Chrome extension) has a bug that sometimes reveals my password when fields are automatically filled or even manually filled.

The worst experience was, while on a Google Meet conference, I was sharing my screen during the video call and had to sign in to a website, when I used JumpCloud password manager, it filled in the username and password field, but it revealed my password during that call WHICH WAS RECORDED (so I had to change my password immediately after that)

Another instance is when I'm logging in to our UniFi controller device, and when I go to Wireless networks to change the current WPA2-PSK, JumpCloud automatically fills that WPA2-PSK field with my saved UniFi controller password instead. After that, I had to stop using the JumpCloud password manager until that bug was fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud as a SaaS solve our LDAP needs, which means, we don't need to deploy an on-prem Windows Server Active Directory instead, which was very helpful.

Good solution for growing organisations

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy installation of JumpCloud agent on all organisation computers, keeping them up to date, and running custom scripts through the admin panel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Admin and Management permissions could be better so IT team can give more limited access to other team members without giving them superuser permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Achieving necessory compliance and IT Policy enforcement.

    Computer Software

As good as i was told it was

  • October 31, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to decommission an account or wipe a device remotely. Helpful during security incidents or terminations. It has saved me time on IT tasks which isn't my main role.

I feel better knowing my org isn't using simple stale passwords or old versions of the the OS on their devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took a great deal of technical knowledge to get it running. I'm not sure a business role could have done it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud filled in a number of gaps as we were pursuing SOC2 compliance. These are areas where our company need to mature, and Jumpcloud met our needs for that.

Easy Device and User Management with Room for Improvement

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use JumpCloud for managing devices, users, policies, inventory, and applications. I appreciate how it automates patch management and helps segregate policies, which streamlines our processes. It is notably easy to manage users through user groups and devices through device groups. This feature allows us to efficiently segregate users and desktops based on their line of business, making our management tasks simpler. Setting up JumpCloud was super easy for me, and as a first-timer, I easily adapted to the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I see is sometimes the loading times takes long. Also being able to search for multiple devices or multiple users will be super useful especially when there's a bulk users that needed to be bounded to certain user groups or devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps automate patches through Patch Management, segregate policies, monitor device statuses, and manage users and devices via grouping, streamlining overall management tasks.
