Comprehensive Device and User Management Solution

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud because it offers all-around features in a single platform. I'm using it for user and device management efficiently. Their user management feature automatically syncs accounts on devices, removing the need for manual creation. SSO integration with Google and other platforms is really helpful. With device management, I can track devices, their current state, policy, and details. The policy management allows for segmentation, ensuring users access only what they need. Patch management ensures devices are up-to-date with the correct patches and security updates. SAAS management is also valuable for tracking our licenses and checking compliance. The admin console and user portal are easy and intuitive to use, providing clear insights at first glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
User policy management—we could set each user to have a dedicated license and maximize one workstation that could be shared with different accounts or lines of business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves our user management and device segregation challenges, automating account syncs, SSO, and policy management. It tracks devices, updates patches, and manages SAAS licenses, reducing manual intervention and ensuring compliance.

What do you like best about the product?
what I like about Jumpcloud is you can intergrate other tools such as Google Workspace and you can also monitor your workstation by installing Jumpcloud on their devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times that it take minutes to load the login page of the desktop if there are too many users binded on the device
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Realtime monitoring unlike on premise DNS that your need to join every station on your domain in Jumpcloud you can just install the app on the device and you will see all the info on the Jumpcloud. It is also easy to add user to the device just by binding them unlike in DNS you need to have the user to login for it to create a profile on the device by Jumpcloud it just automatically add the user.

Streamlined Device Management with JumpCloud

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate JumpCloud for its cloud-based architecture, which eliminates the need for on-premise servers, thereby simplifying user and device management across various regulations. This cloud-based approach makes JumpCloud more flexible than traditional directory services. I value how it offers seamless integration with multiple operating systems and applications, including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, which are essential for our email and productivity needs. I also find user and device management along with security controls to be centralized, which enhances efficiency in granting or removing access during onboarding and offboarding. The platform's ability to reduce human error through its robust device management capabilities and the ease of setting up with a straightforward interface that meets compliance needs impress me. It centralizes user signatures and integrates strong authentication and password policies, crucially reducing unauthorized access risks. Overall, these features make JumpCloud a compelling choice, earning my recommendation with a satisfaction level of about 9 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the current reporting and analytics features in JumpCloud, particularly the limitations in monitoring end-user traffic, device picking, and latency. This lack of detailed reporting can hinder auditing processes and notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to centralize user management, enhance security with authentication and password policies, reduce unauthorized access, and streamline onboarding/offboarding. It integrates seamlessly with multiple systems and simplifies device management across regulations.

Streamlined Policy Management, Needs Bulk Upload Enhancement

  • October 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how JumpCloud allows me to create policies, run tests, and deploy them all on one platform. This really lessens the time-consuming process compared to the old way, where creating, testing, and deploying policies had to be done on different platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to bulk uploading data files for creating accounts, I still need to use PowerShell to upload the complete details. Even though there is a bulk option in JumpCloud, the details required are not complete, which means I have to manually input the details for each account. Also, while the initial setup was easy in the first step, there were difficulties on our end in discovering setup based on our office's configuration, particularly in discovering policy at data report since we are still figuring out the best setup for our company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for account creation, policy binding, and credential resets. It addresses security compliance issues and breaches. I like that it centralizes policy creation, testing, and deployment, significantly reducing time compared to using multiple platforms.

Great toolset for managing mixed OS endpoints

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud Directory and SSO solutions are clear and easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
The MDM is good, but not as robust or deep as other solutions when compared to Jamf or Addigy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We inherited a JumpCloud instance as part of a merger. It was already configured with devices and users onboard. The combination of Cloud Directory and MDM in one tool makes it simple to build smooth onboarding workflows.

Efficient Platform for User and Device Management

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like using JumpCloud for user and device management, as it allows me to manage user access and enforce security policies effectively. The platform is easy to use and reliable, which I find beneficial. I especially value the device management feature, which helps monitor and manage company devices, enforce policies, and ensure systems are compliant with security standards. The initial setup of JumpCloud was very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The device policy applies is intact with the user policy. If the device is bind to specific device group, devices policies are tied to users policies, which creates complication when managing shared devices or role-based access, especially in local admin profile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps me manage user access and device management, enforce security policies, monitor devices, and ensure compliance with security standards, significantly reducing manual work.

Simplifies User Management Across Platforms

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the zero-touch deployment feature in JumpCloud, which allows me to deploy a device to remote employees and have it auto-configured with policies after they log on. The JumpCloud Go feature is great because passwordless authentication makes the login experience seamless for users. The Command and Insights feature is also valuable as it enables me to run remote scripts across all devices and get real-time data on disk encryption. The initial setup was fast and the environment is friendly, making it easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in password manager is great, but the browser extension needs to be polished as much as dedicated tools. Managing large user groups would be much easier with nested groups. The autofill accuracy, prompt logic, and biometric integration for the password manager could be improved. Dynamic group and permission inheritance would also be a helpful addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for workplace user and asset management, managing users across Windows, macOS, and Linux. It provides a cloud directory and automates lifecycle management.
