For small businesses...This JC is the way!!!

What do you like best about the product?
Cross platform support for Mac/Win/Linux is great. In a small business mobile/onprem environment not having to manage Domain Controllers is a huge benefit. It takes away all of the overhead of AD while posting many of the benefits....and 10 free users to get started!
What do you dislike about the product?
As JC rolls out more features, understanding how to fully implement them can seem daunting. At times I have contacted support with questions and use case scenarios. Not always fast, but they do respond. Also the documentation is good but is not obscured by marketing hype. I.E. easy to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with a team of people who need access to assets located on-prem. This team is part remote, part on-prem as well. By utilizing a simple feature to set up RADIUS server in the cloud (I really mean simple) you can configure you corporate firewall vpn to allow access to certain teams while forcing them to employ 2FA to gain access to the network. From there, JC controls credential level access to each machines they are assign, a machine can also have 2FA employed. So JC really does help solve some of my security issues and does so effectively.

Ease of use and highly demanded in the market

What do you like best about the product?
First and foremost, JumpCloud offers a service, Radius, that not many companies provide. Our company needed a quick, easy, and affordable soultion for Radius Authentication using our current Azure AD Cloud Domain. JumpCloud hit the head on the nail and provided a great service. I also like how when there is any problem, their team is diligent and work the issue out with ongoging communication. After implementation, we now use this regularly in our main office. The implementation of the system was easy to setup and get configured to our Azure AD tenancy.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a difficult problem to manage as it seemed that our users always needed to be added to the radius group again overtime. However, JumpCloud resolved this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its main purpose is for Radius authentication. Allowing us to securly connect to our in office wifi using company credentials rather than a unique WPA2 key.

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a great tool for managaming devices in a remote workforce. We're able to deploy changes required to secure both Windows and Mac OS devices easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud password manager is pretty good but missing a few convenience features like a simple password generator that is easily accessible and solid iOS support. Implementation was a bit tedious at first, but managing it going forward is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile device management for both Windows and Mac OS

Simple and Pleasant

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How simple the SSO configuration and user experiance is for it on Mac. Helpful tools like the JumpCloud ADMU make real-world scenarios like moving from domain-based Windows machines to the cloud very possible for the average IT admin. The MDM features for Mac are simple and elegant. Appreciate recently added feature of custom configuration profiles via upload.
What do you dislike about the product?
Device Grouping - no custom criteria for Dynamic groups. (Extension Attributes in Jamf / Custom Facts in Addigy). The Dynamic Grouping feature is almost unusable as is with so few criteria. Command Scripting - ability to see results of Command Scripting, and abilitty to resend command to the errored devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily moving legacy-based clients from former IT contracts to the cloud

Smooth Roll-out

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We've had a really smooth transition moving from on-prem AD to JumpCloud. We've been able to take-over AD accounts on Macs and PCs with JumpCloud seamlessly so the end user has been able to keep all their settings with minimum disruption.

Policies have replaced GPO nicely and inbuilt remote support tool and patchmanagement have been a big help all in one portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like more inbuilt reports rather than Powershell commands. It would be useful to have security reports such as are any of our devices unencrypted or missing anti-virus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to move away from EOL on-prem AD/GPO server to a straight-forward, powerful, cloud option. JumpCloud also meant we could have all our remote support, MDM and patch management in one portal, rather than the several we had previously.
