So far it is a good platform

What do you like best about the product?
We are moving our organization off of Active Directory and into Jumpcloud. I am enjoying the ease of use and management of devices on the platform. I am learning more about how to use Jumpcloud every day and so far it is a dynamic platform that seems to work for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tested the Patching features and it is still missing some functionality that we need to adopt it. I also find the sort feature a little funky to use as well as having to check the box to show what groups or items are assigned to users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a diverse environment with different OS types and hardware. jumpcloud is helping us to maintain all of those in one place. We are also a remote workplace with employees all over the country and we have been wanting a system to replace AD to manage those devices.

The group logic built into the product as well as the SSO catalogue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer Support could be a little faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to solve the SSO integration as well as the MDM problem. Both run smoothly with plenty of policies to choose from and pre-built SSO connectors to use.

    Media Production

Mac/Win/Linux are all supported. Jumpcloud is the way!!!

  • February 13, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We work in a media-centric environment, we move and catalog media assets all day long. This environment is best suited by utilizing Mac laptops and Linux servers. We have very few PC devices. We realized that Active Directory and a couple domain controllers were not appropriate for our environment, too much overhead, too little to gain. Then we found Jumpcloud, our directory service in the cloud. Jumpcloud gave us a huge amount of flexibility when it came to what types of devices we can support without having to take care of domain controllers.
What do you dislike about the product?
As JC rolls out more features, understanding how to fully implement them can seem daunting. At times I have contacted support with questions and use case scenarios. Not always fast, but they do respond. Also the documentation is good but is not obscured by marketing hype. I.E. easy to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with a team of people who need access to assets located on-prem. This team is part remote, part on-prem as well. By utilizing a simple feature to set up RADIUS server in the cloud (I really mean simple) you can configure you corporate firewall vpn to allow access to certain teams while forcing them to employ 2FA to gain access to the network. From there, JC controls credential level access to each machines they are assign, a machine can also have 2FA employed. So JC really does help solve some of my security issues and does so effectively.
