Powerful Monitoring and Management, but Per-Device Alerts and Weak Patch Management Limit Control
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful monitoring and management capabilities
easy-to-use platform
integrates with ticketing system
easy-to-use platform
integrates with ticketing system
What do you dislike about the product?
Not able to run alerts/logs based on locations or organizations, everything is per-device only
patch management is weak since it is based solely on windows reg keys. Emergency OOB updates can bypass our settings and forcibly reboot critical devices, so we are forced to patch servers with an alternate system

All-in-One Ticketing & Remote Access, but Merging Can Be Unreliable

Easy Interface and Remote PC Management That Saves Travel Time
What do you like best about the product?
Ninja comes equipped with an easy to use interface, options for managing PCs remotely, saving crucial travel time that can be used in more efficient ways onsite. I use ninja almost everyday to manage our virtual machines, check backups are running as they should and to support customers in any troubles they have, even if they are in another building.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't got anything bad to say, little interface issues here and there, I sometimes wish for there to be a "connect button" rather than having to go through connection options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its solving the problems such as losing time, walking from site to site/ room to room to sort each IT issue, compared to just remoting to each device from the office. If someone comes to the office and I am out, this means they have wasted their time, with ninja, I can be in the office a lot more of the time, allowing to see staff that want to find me.
Works Well for Endpoints, but Server Update Reporting Is Unreliable
What do you like best about the product?
Seems to work as expected for user end points. Fairly easy to setup and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not work at all as one would expect for servers. It constantly reports updates have been applied and installed, but isnt the case on the actual server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to automate our user endpoint management without many issues. We also use it to deploy different pieces of software and that works as expected.

User-Friendly, but Missing Auto-Tagging and More Robust API Access

There is no automatic tagging and categorizing features. API access is also very limited.

Easy Device Enrollment Across OSs
What do you like best about the product?
ninjaOne has agents for all our OS environments, and enrollment of devices is a breeze. Integration with SentinelOne is seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Understanding OS patching for mac os through ninjaOne is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed two things: making sure OS patches the cover CVEs are installed and malware scanning is set up and running. Enrolling and setting up devices for those purposes is a breeze.
Great Mac integrations, but inconsistent OS behavior and confusing logins
What do you like best about the product?
Integrations and ease of use for Macs, alerting is simple and easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
Differences between OS uses, using the scripting tools could be a lot easier than they are and include far more basic options. Several mac users the app is installed but never starts (have not had the opportunity to troubleshoot beyond reinstalls). All windows devices with Windows Defender running report it not turned on. Haven't been able to figure out why end users have logins or when they log in they cannot see the devices assigned to them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC2 requirements, inventory management
Usable
What do you like best about the product?
remote capability, software checking, etc
What do you dislike about the product?
CMD prompt doesn't seem to scroll when you get to the bottom of the window? No Scroll bar on right??
Quite often need to terminate the prompt and relaunch new one when I get to the bottom of the box - VERY annoying! (on windows laptop - no external monitor)
for some reason it does scroll on external monitor?
Also it seems to have a delay in when a device is actually online but it doesn't show on Ninja until a while later?
Minute or two sometimes??
Datto seemed to be MUCH quicker in updating status so you can remote back after reboot, etc...
