ER Diagrams with LucidChart
What do you like best about the product?
I recently used the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to create ER diagrams. I really liked the ease of using it.
I loved these featuers:
- Adding/deleting rows was a breeze.
- I was happy to see ease of formatting text
- It allowed defining different relationships between entities easily

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the things which I felt could be improved was:
- While sharing a diagram with a shareable link, there was no option of sharing it to a non logged in user. There should be some visibility settings so that I can share the link to anyone, and they do not require to login
- There can be some tutorial or guide, where the different arrows in the ER diagram is defined
Whether its a 1:1 , 1: many, 1 to 1 and only 1,etc. Had to go to a youtube video to check their definitions.

I happen to write a lot of Tech Documents in my organisation. It helps in creating different kinds of diagrams like ER diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Flow diagrams.

Easy to use and a lot of options on the flowchart selection

As far as today, I have not found anything that I don't like.

It makes it easier to create a flowchart and align the process flow nicely.

collaborative workspace allows all memebers in the project lifecycle to contribute
Great for collobration on projects.

Well thought-out options, a well-functioning and good-looking interface are my favourite features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want to export my diagrams as code (like mermaid). I may not be the best user, so if this option exists, I'm sorry.

Excellent for explaining a system to others and making it easier to work with. It definitely saves time.

Still not sure what is the best way to follow for new features and what is the best way to use them, but this might be a problem with me, rather than the platform

Sharing knowledge is very hard in a large company - making the creation of diagrams as easy as possbile is a great first step towards this.

It's very friendly user and very intuitive. I found it very easy to use, and they make a lot easier with the templates they have.
It's also a really good thing the fact that they integrate with a lot of applications, such as Confluence. I found it very useful, and as a person who makes diagrams almost every month, it's a very good tool.

It's not that I dislike, but it took me a little time at first to discover how can I move around the screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think the difficulty of making this diagrams in another tools like Word.
I absolutely love using Lucid for all my diagram and flowchart needs to explain processes.

It is powerful, but can feel overwhelming initially, with limited customization and version control options for team collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been instrumental in organizing our corporate rental process. It allows me to map out each stage from reservation and account creation in Salesforce to invoicing and collection into a clear, easy-to-follow workflow. This has streamlined our workflow significantly, helping us avoid delays and ensuring that invoices are accurate and timely.
1st time user of Lucid Charts and Lucid Sparks and I love it
What do you like best about the product?
I have had experience with multiple tools for project collaboration, diagraming process workflows, and brainstorming. I found that Lucid has a very low barrier to entry and was intuitive to use right from the start. The numerous templates and the ability to build and collaborate with others in real time allows me to be more productive in a shorter period of time.

At this time, I have found no disadvantages for my use cases. There are a lot of options within this tool.
