Lucid - A better and cheaper version of Visio

  • October 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the collaboration elements of the tool, which integrates seamless with a variety of different users and types. Given that I manage a consulting business, the technology suite of most companies varies widely, so this is the great equalizer for me. It was very easy to use and implement across a wide variety of use cases and I tend to use this a lot because of those things.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some short keys that I've become somewhat used to when using Visio that I didn't see immediately when picking this up, but this is fairly common when moving from a Microsoft product to another product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I tend to showcase with a lot of customers the from and to versions of key processes, which helps visualize to my clients the recommended changes. Also, by showing how complex one workstream vs. another is, they can quickly and easily see the "pain" associated with the process.

I spend time doing process workshops with clients and having everyone (regardless of a member) interact at the same time, and virtually, it makes the workshop much more interactive and engaging. This allows anyone on the team, regardless of stature, the ability to provide their perspective.

The group-collab platform I've been looking for

  • October 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's awful having a place my entire team can brainstorm all at once on the same topic without having to take turns sequentially. We recently use this for a team on site as we planned our next fiscal year and we're able to cover mini topics without tripping over each other shared collaboration platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing comes to mind, keep the good times rolling
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of other platforms have a shared feature, but I get messed up when someone hits enter or I'm working on some thing and then get moved to different spot. Lucid makes it easier to work on my own contribution without being interrupted by others.

What do you like best about the product?
I loved the ease of use of Lucid. My team and I use it for whiteboarding, quickly creating org charts and so much more. The tool is very intuitive and everyone on the team loves it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have an constructive feedback on how to make product better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a fully remote team so Lucid allows us to have whiteboarding sessions regularly which was crucial for our brand new team.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Whai I find most impressive about Lucid is its seamless integration of tools like Lucidchart and luicid spark which enable real-time collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
One potential drawback is that it can become overwhelming for new users due to its wide range of features and tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of fragmented communication and inefficient collaboration especially in remote/distributed teams. By offering tools like Luicidchart, it allows teams to visually map out processes and ideas.

Great for businesses bc its great for teams!

What do you like best about the product?
The easy to use functionality makes it easy for anyone to use. The ability to format (for example hierarchy diagrms) is much easier than other tools like in MS Powerpoint. This tools is great for teams because it allows team members to jot down their ideas and work through processes, not only asyncronously, but also without wasting a ton of paper.
There are a ton of features, but they are all accessible unlike other software applications. For example, the templates provided are helpful to get started and kickoff your thought process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure how accessible this software is for non-business users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid allows me to jot down processes and work-strream mapping where ever I go without having to carry notebooks/paperwork with this information.
The tools available also help me get started and carries the same format throughout the process.

What do you like best about the product?
I like its flexibility to add your icons and images to enrich existing available library of icons and its mind mapping feature called lucidspark and its ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometines the icon library are not up to date with the latest changes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it helps to put on the screen the current as-is situation/process/solution with the clinet and provide design and communicate the solution visually with the client

Intuitive process and workflow mapping

  • October 18, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to create and modify process flows and diagrams through Lucid. The collaboration options also make it easy for my team to review, and if they make a change, I can look back at the version history (extremely helpful feature!!).
What do you dislike about the product?
I still prefer Miro for wireframing, but Lucid is much better for process flows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Showing an end to end process - one of my roles on the project is to assure an intuitive user experience, and journey mapping helps me visualize any pain points for the rest of the team.
2. Providing the content design and desired user experience features for the developers responsible for delivering the end product.
