Useful tool, but sometimes frustrating
What do you like best about the product?
It is really helpful to lay out diagrams and flow charts that make communication system design and architecture much easier than with other tools I have found or used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it hard to align shapes and items and to make sure lines were at the same angle. It would have been nice to have some more of these things be easier to do/have a snapping functionality
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
create engineering system design diagrams to help facilitate design reviews and getting feedback on design proposals

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart makes creating the process flows I use as a senior consultant implementing software for small and enterprise organizations easy. I will typically produce 20 or more process flows per client, and using the templates feature in Lucidchart, along with the robust tools and options, streamlines the process and allows me to spend less time creating visuals and more time talking to my client.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve because the product is so robust, and it can be a little overwhelming when you're just getting started. However, there are several readily available resources you can find to assist you as you learn. I recommend starting simple and being patient with yourself as you grow into the tool over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are charged with documenting process flows for our clients, which diagram the simplest to the most complex processes across their business. Our clients must understand the process flows that accurately depict their current business processes and the future-state methods we propose as a component of our consulting and implementation of new software systems.
Early days but so far, so good
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive to use - quick to get going. Can also collaborate with a team easily. The OOTB templates are also useful and give ideas about different ways of using Lucidspark.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's early days, so I've not uncovered anything yet! There could potentially be a few more templates, but this would be added-value rather than something I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it for brainstorming new topics for investigation and planning presentations, using mind maps and notes collaboratively. Considering whether it can be used as part of our architecture toolset.
Quick to learn, easy to collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to choose different ways that my team members can use the board, i.e., view only, comment only or edit. It also allows more collaborators than other platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
The table function has been hard to use. Once you have a table, you can't make lists within the table or add a post-it note by double clicking. I think the Lucid Cards might fix this, but they are not as intuitive to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping my team collaborate remotely. I also has been useful for sharing our outputs with clients in a view only format so they can see our work but can't change it.
Excellent platform to build my implementation
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart provides more variety of diagrams which is very helpful and valuable for the project team and also saves time when building new flowcharts and other diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes time to understand how the shapes, containers, fonts, colours and arrows work on the graphic page, but with more time, it’s easy to use the platform.
But if the tool provides more navigation, it will guide us even more.
But if the tool provides more navigation, it will guide us even more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we have new implementation projects, we can use Lucidchart to show the structure and orientation of the project on one page by explaining the aspects of the implementation and making corrections when the clients add their comments after reviewing the flow diagram.
Good for novices as well as experts
What do you like best about the product?
I am not a project manager or an expert on flowcharting. However, I found Lucidchart very user-friendly and could start flowing my process immediately. I liked the descriptions under each shape.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was tough to line up multiple flows to be even. For example, I tried to get line lengths consistent, but it wasn't easy and took too long to figure out. I would be helpful to have some function that allows the box and the lines to be the exact dimensions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have process documentation but is helpful for our users to look at decision trees and flow charting. LucidChart helps in providing a very good graphical representation of our processes.
Great collaboration tool for diagramming and showing visual concepts with stakeholders
What do you like best about the product?
Layers are really helpful, so you can toggle different views for different types of stakeholders. Saved shapes are also really handy, so you don't have to remember which shapes or lines you've previously created.
What do you dislike about the product?
Elements don't snap to grid as well as in other tools like Figma, so alignment can be a little trickier. The design of the elements themselves could also use some modernizing to keep up with other diagramming tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart is helping us bring ideas and concepts to life through visual diagramming. Makes it easier to explain systems and processes in a straightforward way, and asynchronously too.
Nice tool to create a digram for your project
What do you like best about the product?
It's ease of use and the fact that I don't need to download anything to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I could think of, at least not what I'm using it for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to create diagrams manually, and lucidchart makes it a lot easier and save me a lot of time.
Visual collaboration platform
What do you like best about the product?
Best is about the ease of creating diagrams/charts without restriction on the page view etc. Also, the ease of exporting the process maps..
What do you dislike about the product?
i would like to see how i can attach links or copy tables from excel etc easily. currently need to take snapshot etc..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark helps me with writing up the difficult process into a visual tool and sharing it easily with the team.
An ideal tool for remote teams to communicate and collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
I love Lucidspark for its easy-to-use interface and incredible collaboration tools. Our entire team has been able to benefit from using Slack within this system, making it an ideal platform of choice regardless of company size. The auto-save feature ensures that all connections are kept safe, while the post-it feature helps stories be refined even faster as we move through the programme. The comments section also allows members to discuss ideas without relying too much on email, drastically reducing both revision time and frequency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Lucidspark's sharing protocols a little confusing. It was difficult to give others access, and my staff were not able to contribute or even view the content until I made specific settings for them, which added a layer of complexity that could be annoying. They also had to open the link in a private browsing session for it to work properly; an unusual process that may leave some users more confused than satisfied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark allows me to collaborate with my team on data and process flow diagrams quickly and easily. This benefits me because new users can be onboarded without delay; everyone has access to a respected tool that greatly simplifies our workflow.
