Great tool for creating diagrams and flowcharts
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and have a great variety of symbols and shapes

Sometimes it can be a bit tricky when connecting between shapes

Better than ever
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use is the best feature. Selecting from existing templates quickly and then building those templates out with the duplicate function is intitative. Compared to base functions in Microsoft, this product stands alone.
What do you dislike about the product?
For someone that will only occasionally need to use a program like this for work, the cost is something that I will need to factor in when deciding whether it is worth purchasing a month's subscription at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The speed at which I can create process maps from the templates is impressive. It allows me to work these through with customers in real-time vs. my old way: writing everything down by hand and transferring it to a computer program later.
Lucid is a MUST HAVE for architectural diagrams!
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is a must-have for anyone building architecture diagrams! I have yet to find a comparable tool that balances ease/features/value. Some great things about it:
- Everything you need icon-wise for creating diagrams for any cloud or on-premise platform
- Easy to use (mostly)
- Feature-packed
- Even the free version is pretty amazing!

What do you dislike about the product?
- Occasionally the tool gets a mind of its own. It loves to draw connector lines, even when sometimes you don't want them. I find that sometimes I try to resize icons and things, but the tool thinks I'm trying to draw a connector line. It can be a bit finicky in that way.
- I find that Lucidchart crashes on occasion when I'm using it. It will freeze up, and it can be super frusterating when that happens. Luckily, however, it auto-saves as you work, so you don't have to worry about losing the progress you have made.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my job I need to create MANY different architectural diagrams. They also are not specific to a single cloud provider. Lucidchart is super-helpful by always having a massively comprehensive amount of built-in icons for everything that I need, and they are kept up to date for me. In addition, it is helpful for co-developing architecture diagrams with experts from different niche's of the technology stack.

What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive, easy to use, collaborative, and is a super helpful way to visualize important ideas and convey them to clients and coworkers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, really. Would only suggest for there to be to have a folder to organize documents? That may already exist, though!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Diagramming customer and product workflows, and collaborating virtually with remote colleagues. It helps me to get ideas out of my head and onto "paper." It is much more effective to convey something visually as opposed to speaking about it out loud.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have huge complaints about Lucidchart. My least favorite part of the tool is that it lacks the ability to snap lines to anywhere but the center of the edge of an object. This forces me to have to eye-ball certain multi-connection objects, and I'd rather not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid is enabling us to discuss challenges and processes visually. It creates a collaborative platform and document repository where stakeholders can go to get the information more reliably than asking one-off questions about our business processes.
Organized creativity with benefits other programs do not have
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciated the features that were added that other similar programs lack. I particularly enjoy the swim lane feature. This was something that the other software I was using didn't have. I made it easy to create a clear breakdown of processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it if a feature allowed me to create a presentation from my work. I want to be able to have the ability to have a zoomed-in version of what I made and then be able to seamlessly present the process I am showing without having to scroll through the page. I would also like it if the new area that was created wasn't so big. I would like it to fit where I put further information or a toggle feature that could do one or the other.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Lucidchart to diagram company-wide processes of documentation and the stage gates (with checklists) of what needs to be done before the process can officially move to the next step.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about LucidChart is the flexibility on types of diagrams you can do on just one platform. The easiness of navigation and diagram construction are indeed strong postive points from the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't find many negative points on the tool. Maybe sometimes is difficult to convert the file intro a proper pdf format when wanting to download but it is not much of a problem. Page division one messed up and it took me time to properly set up the download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an Engineer I usually have to draw a lot of process diagramas (PFDs) and architecture diagrams for networks. LucidChart is a proper tool to draw this diagrams smoothly and with high quality results to show to my audience.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how the user interface is so easy to use and identifies every component needed to build a process or workflow. I also love the fact that the service is cloud-based. Accessible anywhere. Finally, it is great to have all the export options.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced using the platform enough to have noticed something I disliked about Lucidspark.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I recently had to create a new offboarding process for my company. This was a great tool to document the process and clearly identify stakeholders and stages needed.
One of the tech toys I can't do my job without.
What do you like best about the product?
I've used a few different diagramming programs but always come back to LucidChart. I love its easy-to-use interface: the accessible icon bar, easy text-fitting into icons, consistency of formatting/remembered formatting of icons and text, etc. You'd be surprised how uncommon these features are in other systems. When I need a beautiful (not just logical) workflow tool, LucidChart it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside is that you can only use a certain number of icons/items in a free test account, so if you're using a sandbox account to determine how robust the graphics or flow can be, it's a bit limiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our sales automation platform (to remain nameless), if you have to make a change to one part of the work flow/sequence, you have to delete that part and EVERY part that comes after it, so it's absolutely imperative that we get a detailed workflow approved by all team members before we start building. LucidChart has nearly every type of workflow component that we need to mock up full customer-journey automations outside our automation platform. That way, we can build ONLY after it's fully reviewed and approved. We could even implement a hard rule that we make no changes once launched for a full month.

Very simple to draw your ideas. No need for pre-knowledge, and it looks fantastic in the end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Really!! It worked better than expected.
