Great App for Students
What do you like best about the product?
I like that lucidchart allows me the ability to build charts and diagrams for all of my classwork. It made the flow of doing work so much faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little bit to get used to using, which means that sometimes it takes a while to build charts. I wish there was a student membership with unlimited access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed me to create Data Flow Diagrams and ED's. This helped me to show my classwork in a neater and better looking format for professors.
Nice flow chart tool
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is a user-friendly and versatile platform that offers an intuitive interface, extensive template library, and easy collaboration features for creating professional diagrams and charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found the placement of diagram components in LucidChart to be less intuitive than desired. I would appreciate having greater flexibility to customize elements or even create new ones. Additionally, it would be beneficial to have the ability to limit connection attachments specifically to certain element nodes, enhancing the overall control and organization of the diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to create simplified industrial process diagrams and summarize information about process flows. It is useful for creating draft PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams).
Great features but UI needs improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The varied features and abilities that permit more customization than their competitors. I almost feel like I'm in Figma without unnecessary bells and whistles.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's benefit it also it's challenge. The varied tools lack clear UI and access to layers and locking those layers is cumbersome. I often have load issues and what should be quick to click often takes more time to find than I'd like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently my problems are centered around layer navigation and that hasn't been improved yet. Grouping is also an issue. The collaboration improvements are great as well as the varied platforms and the connectivity; I would say those are most benefitting myself and my team.
Mapping made easy
What do you like best about the product?
LucidChart has provided a tool to help me easily map complex projects. The visuals are crucial for my team's delivery. Project managers, Quality Assurance, and Creative teammates use the Lucidchart diagrams. Even the most complex projects are easily mapped and create an excellent visual. My clients even review them!
What do you dislike about the product?
Because Lucidchart can be so detailed, it can make things take a little longer to map. It might be my being overly detailed. For example, it's easy to accidentally add arrows when just trying to highlight a shape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have complex project with many data variables and creative variables and Lucidchart helps me map out the complex logic making QA much easier. Everything is clearly outlined allowing the QA team to check my work.
Beginner friendly diagramming tool for team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
So much easier to learn and use for a beginner than Visio! The templates and support/training resources are also great to get you started and learn. Also, being a cloud-based tool, it's easier to collaborate in real time without the messiness of saving and sharing versions with a desktop application.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial sharing and collaboration options can be tricky for beginners to figure out. The biggest frustration I've experienced is running out of room on the left-hand side to expand or make edits, so some helpful hints, suggestions, or examples for combatting that issue would be great. Also, I usually have formatting issues when importing Visio diagrams, sometimes to the point where I have to redo the entire thing.

I find Lucidchart straightforward to use, create an account, navigate and easy to export documentation in the format desired.
The subscription option is not too expensive so decided to subscribe.

The free version is quite limited - I had to subscribe to include all of the steps of the process I needed to include.
Not sure if you can make notes on the diagramme you draw?
Would be great to have an easy way to standardize the diagramme boxes and lines. I can select all and make changes

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart is allowing me to draw process maps, to better look into processes As-Is and develop To-be process maps. It's easy to duplicate a lucidchart board and begin building your To-be Process. Also, easy to navigate.
Endless possibilities
What do you like best about the product?
I like all the different shapes and colors you can create. If you need a diagram for anything, you can create it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate adding something to a chart when I have to group everything and move it over to accommodate for the new data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We share our org chart throughout our enterprise, and without Lucidchart, I'm not sure it would be very clear and concise.
LucidChart way easier than Visio
What do you like best about the product?
Integrates and can import from other services very easily. They have some decent icons for the cloud service providers built in services. Can add more icons when necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough of the cloud service providers services, or rather not updated with the amount that they push out. Essentially not as up to date. Search from net to import isn't as straightforward
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Was diagramming quikcly of infrastructure and architecture in our cloud environment as well as workflow processes. Provided the ability to collaborate with others but also export out as images was better functionality
Intuitive Design Tool for a Multitude of Uses
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart excels at making diagramming extremely easy and intuitive on their site, and allow for integration to other tools (in my case, confluence) to allow for contextual developments push throughout my documents
What do you dislike about the product?
Though it's not particularly a downside, I do not find much value in the basic video tutorials. I would really enjoy a deeper, self-paced learning environment for understanding all of the benefits of Lucidchart

Providing an easy to use tool that creates visual training solutions for business problems, especially for complex if-then scenarios, allowing associates to make smart choices for the business
