I used Lucidchart for an MIS class at Iowa State
What do you like best about the product?
I like the vast majority of shape options as well as the ease of use. My peers and I regularly used Lucidchart to create database diagrams for MIS320. The sharing capabilities of documents made it easy for us to work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how you can only have three charts at a time for free users. While I understand that the company needs to make a profit and encourage customers to subscribe, it can become extremely irritating. This issue has caused me to browse other options online due to the inconvenience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating database diagrams for MIS320. Our teacher strongly recommended using Lucidchart since we can share our diagrams with other students and work together.
Quick + Convenient Visual Reference
What do you like best about the product?
We love using Lucidcharts to map out Flow diagrams within our organization. We have quite the complex setup, and without a visual guide it would be nearly impossible to communicate new ideas to other team members. Lucidcharts provides us with an easy way to create these ideas in a quick, convenient way that's shareable and editable in real time, which is very helpful for our purposes and allows us to brainstorm as a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that it took a bit of getting used to using Lucidcharts, and this may be a learning curve that was steeper for me as I'm not super familiar with other visual charting software apps. However, once I figured out how to use Lucidcharts, it was easy to accomplish whatever I was trying to map out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart allows us to collaborate on mapping out Flow wireframes without having to do it within Klaviyo. It's much more user-friendly, and it's also great for making changes in real-time. Klaviyo can be restrictive in communicating ideas in a visual way, especially when we're trying to map out content as we'd have to build out an entire email template, and then click into it to view what it contains. With Lucidchart we don't have that issue, and anyone in our company can view our Flow setup quickly and easily without having to learn how to navigate Klaviyo's interface.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that there are so many options for diagraming, and it allows multiple users to work on a single flowchart. Additionally, there are vital ways for users to provide details to enhance the diagram's understanding further.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I do not like about Lucidchart is that you do not get too many free slots to create separate diagrams. So, if you create numerous diagrams, either pay or use a single slot with multiple diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main thing that this solves is an organization of ideas since one can create numerous ideas, but it is diffi cult to share and start making the details about the idea to turn from fi ction to reality. Also, it massively helps in the collaboration spa ce since multiple users can work on one diagram in various ways to add details for understanding.

Document engineering architecture at a high level and makes it easy to communicate to other teams.

- Clients usually want a separate log of decisions outside the Lucid Chart. It adds more work to create that and share it

i like that there are various templates to use without starting from scratch! This is very helpful and gives you many ideas on how to present your work.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't make it easy to edit parts of templates such as font, arrows etc. we can make it clearer/easier to replace parts of templates that are not needed/that have to be changed.

lucid chart makes it easy to create diagrams to present text in visually appealing ways to make it easy to grasp/put points across
