It's completely cloud based and can easliy collaborate with peers. Diagrams can be easily shared with others, both internally and externally, and can be published to a URL or embedded in websites.Team members can leave comments and annotations directly on the diagram, facilitating feedback and communication. Lucidchart keeps track of all changes made to a diagram, so you can easily revert to a previous version if needed.

I love Lucid! One improvements...

What do you like best about the product?
I love Lucid! It helps me organize my brain better than any other solution I've tried. The ability to create mind nodes with added notes and hyperlinks is why Lucid is essential for my professional success.
What do you dislike about the product?
One improvement. I like to make a big rectangle that is the "topic" with sub tasks underneath each topic. One thing that is time cunsuming is drawing every line from the topic to the subtask. If there was a way I could draw all the lines at once, that would help me significantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I put it in the product rating, but the ability to draw multiple lines from an overarching box to sub boxes

Despite its shortcomings, still our preferred diagramming tool.

What do you like best about the product?
I personally think that one of Lucidcharts strongest asset to my team, is how it puts everyone on the same page.
By allowing multiple member of my team to collaborate on marketing plan diagramming tasks simultaneously on the same canvas, regardless of individual location, it is easier to get quick feedback and comments from key decision makers. This facilitates efficient communication and revision within my team and ensures everyones input is incorporated when designing illustrative marketing flows
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Lucidchart provides templates for different use-cases, my team has always foung them inadequate. This has meant us preferred to build our diagrams and flowcharts from scratch when using Lucidchart.
Also, I think Lucidcharts symbol and icon library isnt extensive enough. This has made me needing to resort to improvisation on multiple occasions, when mapping processes using the Lucidchart platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart is used within my department not just as a diagramming tool but also as a visual communication tool, that enables complex ideas to be broken down and efficiently communicated to the team. We are utilizing it for visualizing customer journeys and communicating marketing campaigns and strategies in an effective manner, using illustrative maps and flow diagrams.

Helpful visualization builder

What do you like best about the product?
When I first activated my Lucid membership, I received weekly customer support messages to guide my learning and answer any task-relevant questions. My favorite thing about Lucid is how easy it is to add consistent elements to build your flow chart. I had tried doing this in PPT for years and always get frustrated by the constant need to format. Lucid includes a shareable code and link I'm able to share with my non-licensed team members to still collaborate and provide comments on a chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only challenge I've had is occasional on-screen navigations with scrolling or zooming on my mousepad. With an external mouse, it works just fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As we launch a new go-to-market solution, Lucid helped solve the need for an easy-to-follow visual process flow across 4 intersecting departments and multiple critical passes.

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart can be used for a wide range of visual tasks, from flowcharts and mind maps to network diagrams and wireframes. This versatility makes it a valuable tool for various industries and roles.

Great templates and shape libraries. My team really appreciates the extensive collection of templates and shape libraries that help speed up the diagram creation process and ensure professional-looking results. Furthermore, it can integrate with various other popular productivity and collaboration tools, such as G Suite, Microsoft Office, Confluence, Jira, and Slack, making it easier to incorporate visual content into your existing workflow. Being a web-based tool, it allows us to access their diagrams and work from anywhere with an internet connection. This can be especially valuable for remote teams or individuals who need flexibility in where they work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has limited free features. The free version of Lucidchart may have limitations in terms of the number of diagrams you can create and the features available. Users may need to upgrade to a paid plan to access advanced functionality.

Lucidchart is primarily a web-based tool, even with its offline capabilities, a constant internet connection may be required for full functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart helps users create clear and visually engaging diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual content. This improves communication within teams, making it easier to convey complex ideas and processes, resulting in reduced miscommunication and increased understanding. By offering a cloud-based platform with real-time collaboration, Lucidchart enhances teamwork and streamlines the workflow. Teams can work together on the same diagram, reducing the need for back-and-forth email exchanges and improving efficiency. Furthermore, visual diagrams and charts are powerful problem-solving tools. Lucidchart helps users map out solutions, analyze data, and brainstorm ideas, facilitating more efficient and effective decision-making processes. It also helps in project planning and management, allowing us to create Gantt charts, timelines, and project diagrams. This aids in organizing and executing projects more effectively, resulting in on-time delivery and cost savings.
