The best diagramming tool

What do you like best about the product?
I love Lucidspark for its ease of use and versatility. Setting up a board is very intuitive, while sharing links with new team members allows them to get up to speed quickly. The user-friendly forms and options allow us to get straight to work, which I really appreciate as we can quickly create product personas and JTBD frameworks, as well as co-facilitate various functions such as strategic board meetings, brand strategy workshops or vision timeframes. An outstanding feature that always impresses me about this platform is the possibility to add as many canvas sizes as you like, which allows users like me to easily merge multiple visualisations by simply zooming in or out as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I appreciate Lucidspark's efforts to simplify more complex tasks, but I think they could benefit from incorporating pop-up functionality on each sticky note to provide more information when needed. For work that requires more contextualisation and deals with policy, management, or process, an easy way to access this additional data is needed to make the work easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark provides me with a helpful way to organise my thoughts and ideas. With its capabilities, I'm able to use visuals such as flowcharts, maps or diagrams when presenting concepts and procedures both internally and externally, which has resulted in improved understanding for everyone involved.

What do you like best about the product?
I love Lucidspark for its accuracy, remarkable features and extensibility in both collaboration and user interface design. Their integration with Slack is personally incredibly convenient - by automatically saving connections from the platform, I'm better able to keep my work safe without worrying about losing it. In addition, their sticky notes feature provides a way to enhance our product within program increments, while further minimising document travel through comments provided directly in the project space, rather than using lengthy email conversation threads that slow down overall productivity by taking more time than necessary to organise tasks between team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the existing templates in Lucidspark lacking as they do not offer enough customisation or leave out important elements. There is also an adjustment period to using this software, which can take some time and effort to get your head around. However, for those willing to put up with the initial challenges, it offers plenty of forgiveness, which ultimately makes life easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark solves the problem of facilitating effective remote brainstorming. Through its simple technology, it provides a number of benefits to me personally - I'm able to run efficient and productive sessions while generating new ideas without having to be face-to-face with my colleagues.

Business analysis and strategic decisions without Lucidchart wouldn't be the same.

What do you like best about the product?
Before my current position, I had no experience with Lucidchart. Since there were no experienced users available, I had to rely on the tutorials to learn it. As a result of my efforts, I have made a lasting impression on upper management and am now considered the Lucidchart expert. Lucidchart is not only an efficient tool, but also an intuitive one. It is highly effective for mind mapping, outlining procedures, and creating visuals for presentations, handouts, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, I sometimes encounter formatting issues that can be challenging to navigate. While there are techniques available to address them, doing so effectively requires familiarity with both the techniques and the formats they intend to enhance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As part of the business analysis process, I use Lucidchart to present process flowcharts of both the current and desired future states to process owners. The development team relies on these maps to gain insight into the current and future states of the process and to share knowledge about it more effectively.

No more chaotic notebook pads

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who typically prefers pencil to paper when brainstorming, I was excited but unsure about trying out a digital brainstorming platform. I utilize the "sticky notes" the most; it's a convenient way to fire rapidly, put all my ideas for events down then sort them accordingly once I've stopped.
What do you dislike about the product?
Aesthetic design elements are hard to change at mass when using templates. I like to color coordinate based on what project I'm working on to fit the colors of the event or company. I am currently unaware of a way to select multiple items to change their colors, so doing this becomes time consuming and tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sustainability is important to me, so being able to take out all the paper products that would have been used it a benefit for sure. I have yet to try the collaborative aspects of the platform yet, but anticipate it being a great tool to share my vision and ideas with my team.

A valuable tool for project planning visualizing data

  • February 26, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is an invaluable tool for planning projects and visualizing data relationships. Its templates, intuitive interface, export capabilities, and document sharing feature set it apart from the competition for creating diagrams of any complexity quickly and accurately. Customizable user templates allow you to meet individual needs by personally controlling every element or selected parts with advanced cropping options during export tasks. The team collaboration tools available are particularly useful for organizations handling complex projects that require multiple minds working on different aspects simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback is the lack of ability to zoom diagrams when exporting from Lucidspark. This can make large diagrams and flowcharts difficult to read, as they cannot be zoomed in for a better view, and you have to break them up into several smaller parts to try to get a clearer view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark simplifies collaboration and project management. With its decision trees and diagrams, it's easy to map out tasks for the team to work on during virtual meetings.

Easy to use, but could do with more templates

  • February 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Lucidchart saves me a lot of time creating charts or diagrams on my own and is easy to use! The grammar prompts and suggested edits work great as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer if Lucidchart could provide more charts and diagrams templates and make the designs more aesthetically pleasing for when we export them to integrate with other tools like Microsoft Powerpoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart helps me to save a lot of time with its available tools and I like that it provides prompts that aid me in my brainstorming process. It also helps me make strategy proposals look more professional with the pre-designed templates!

New to LucidChart

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use
Zero to very minimal training needed to get started
Templates are practical and useful - helps getting started with a first product
Compared to other products the upstart is faster
What do you dislike about the product?
I could have benefited from definitions of shapes and when to use one versus another. if the shape had a click to see description, that would be helpful--for use "in the moment" and without having to leave the page I'm working on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conveying complicated processes and decision-making. I was able to create a decision tree in 15 minutes on my first use of the platform. This reduced my downtime on my deliverable.
