Great for organizing ideas, plot points, themes, anything story related
What do you like best about the product?
I write stories and was looking for a way to get the plot points down. I'm a very visual person and being able to see what happens chronologically is a huge help. Lucidspark allows me to organize and edit, choose different colors just as you would with index cards, the only difference is that you can change anything and there are so many more possibilities. I like that you can zoom in super far if you're working on a specific moment in the story and zoom out if you need to see the bigger picture.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit difficult to select the text in each box and the size of the text. I think prioritizing those as options (the most common things people do, selecting text and size) would make it easier and faster to get work done especially if you're in a rhythm. It's not a huge thing but little things like this make a big difference in usability!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has been a great way to share work and it makes communicating so much easier when collaborating. Instead of writing words in a standard document, I'm able to visual express ideas so that my business partner can grasp the concepts easily, quickly and understand the whole idea instead of boring written bits. It makes projects a lot more fun when working visually (colors, mind maps, etc).
What I need, when I need it.
What do you like best about the product?
I find Lucidchart to be very easy to use and to create the things I need. Whether its for a business meeting or demonstrating a workflow, Lucidchart does it well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I get pretty picky about how elements in my diagrams are placed. I like that pixel-perfect alignment and I find that sometime Lucidchart will try and link things that I don't want linked or that there are small, but visible gaps between shapes. I would like more control on how well I can place objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It doesn't solve any problems for me. It's a great tool because I can get more out of it than I invest. Its a more cost-effective solution to other diagramming packages, so the benefit is a lower cost of ownership.
Best Diagramming tool you can find

What do you like best about the product?
Using Lucid Chart, we created a team structure for our firm. It performed flawlessly, and the charts seemed neat and professional. Additionally, its compatibility with our other systems was functional.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't detect anything in particular. It would be nice if there were a few built-in form libraries, but there are currently several, and it's not a huge problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are resolving the issue of adequate process mapping amongst multidisciplinary teams. The advantage is the capacity to map team, processes, and data sources. Also included are several data sources.
Very user friendly and intuitive for anyone
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how simple the app is, and how without any guidance I was able to use a variety of features with ease. UI has been greatly optimized with all features accessible at all times.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally the text alignment within a box or bubble is funky, otherwise, I have not found any issues or dislikes. Which is awesome considering I have spent quite a bit of time using the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find the free flow chart functionality very handy when displaying a visual representation of my daily processes. That way, when I have spare moments I can find small details in my workflow that can be refined!

Great experience for UX conceptualization
What do you like best about the product?
I like the experience of conceptualizing ideas for User Experience with the Lucid Spark tool because you can use several items to say many things and you can keep track of advances as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Almost nothing... The only thing that I don't like a lot is the way the arrows are attached to the container for example squares or triangles, the arrows sometimes draw strangely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication, getting ideas or concepts on paper easily, taking notes of requirements, drawing sitemaps, drawing user flows, drawing user journeys and much more.

Just get into it.
So easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is no doubt the best cloud flowchart and diagram product I have used by far. Easy to use, navigate and create content on it, intuitive and simple. It automatically stacks the blocks in rows and columns which saves time and creates a good visual experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides identified so far. Initially, I needed some time to understand the logic of the tool auto-cascading the blocks, but once I realized how it works, it all became very easy for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The product serves the full scope of requirements one can have for product/service reviews, problem-solving, org chars, network and database diagrams. The predefined templates save you the time to start from scratch.
Lucidchart- The simple, yet robust, diagramming software you need!

I can appreciate Lucidcharts vast assortment of templates and tools to make diagrams and flowcharts to the level of detail that our organization needs. Icon sets and pictures make diagrams easy to follow for entry-level employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucidchart can be cumbersome in the beginning but is easy to learn quickly and create diagrams in no time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart has helped us create diagrams and flowcharts of systems within our organization. These documents have since helped us streamline training and ease troubleshooting.

Perfect web-building tool for novel/story brainstorming!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the infinite white space to expand ideas into. I use it for novel brainstorming, and I can build my formula and add in an offshoot for character breakdowns, settings, etc. and add photos for inspiration. Then for the novel itself, I like to use the colored boxes to create scene cards that are so easy to move around and add to them. I've been brainstorming on a corkboard at home and it's never been big enough. I also like the option to color the boxes, because it helps me to locate certain portions of my story notes easier when the web starts getting large. And I like how it will tell you when your boxes are an equal distance from the others, so it's really easy to line things up perfectly. My OCD thanks you. I tried several different web-based programs similar to this before I found Lucidspark, and this one has been the easiest to use, with all the options I was searching for.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are only a few dislikes that I've come up with so far. Because I use it to plan novel ideas, some of my colored boxes have a lot of text in them. And I've noticed that when It gets pretty long (say 3 pages or so if it was a normal word processing document), it freezes the entire Lucidspark board and I have to close it and reopen it. And when it gets that much text, even if I click in the text box or try to move it, it freezes. So I make a point to make smaller boxes of text, like part 1, part 2, etc.
Also, (maybe there is a feature that does this, but I haven't found it yet) when I'm typing additional notes into one of the colored boxes and it becomes longer, I wish there was an option to add a line to the whiteboard, like hitting "enter" in word processing. Then I could move everything below what I'm typing down a line or two as I add to it. What I found I have to do is go down to the bottom of my list of cards (colored boxes), and move each one down like a line of traffic, to make room for the one I added more text to.

I outline down to the scene before I write, because I like to know where I'm going and what information I need to reveal. This makes my outline really large. In the past, I had a corkboard wall in my home where I added cards and writing. When it's in a handwritten format like that, I can't make changes to the board as easily, my 2-year-old steals some of my cards sometimes, It takes up a lot of space in my home, and it's not a searchable format. I've also brainstormed a lot on digital platforms, usually word processing, but that just ends up looking like pages of text and it's hard to put everything into the order it eventually needs to go in. It makes a huge difference to have an infinite white space to expand into. To add notes, move things around, and color code for organization. With it being web-based as well, it's always with me. It really works great.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lucidspark is a great web-building and brainstorming tool, with many applications. I use it for novel/story brainstorming, and it has all the features I would want for that. It's easier to use and manipulate than many of the novel-writing software platforms I've explored (which are also very expensive). I'm still using the free version which give you 3 whiteboards, and it will be a while before I need to expand beyond that. I highly recommend giving it a try.
