A powerful workflow builder that requires little effort to master
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Lucidchart's online diagramming software is the ease of use and its ability to be used by people with little or no training. It also has a wide variety of templates for diagrams, which allows users to create their own without having to start from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
When working with complex workflows, the software tends to slow down and crash. In addition, when a workflow is spread out over multiple pages, the view can become small even with a large screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Lucidchart, we are able to create process flows for our standard operating procedures that are both easy for new hires and existing employees to understand. Our intelligent workflows also allow us to create procedures quickly, while still making them visually appealing.
The perfect collaboration tool for the visual learner!
What do you like best about the product?
It was a smooth learning curve. The tools, shapes and drag and drop functionality make it easy to get started quickly. I was able to even connect my Excel data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the copy/paste logic, you're never sure where something is going to end up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it at my company for collaborating on large and small problems from creating an ideas board using sticky notes for feedback to solving large engineering questions.

What do you like best about the product?
Good for managing the product development cycle overview in graphical representation. Easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it gets stuck in between the work, I and my colleague faced these issues serval times a week. That needs to be solved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User friendly. the whole team can access it at a time.
Organize and Create Flows, Collaborate and Take Technical Notes
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a product owner, so the thing I really like is being able to simply create flows of how our application works. I then can share those flows, or keep them as concepts for later if I need a refresher. I can create these flows for myself, and then if they're relevant during a meeting, I will share my screen and display Lucidchart.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many problems just small technical issues that I would prefer/is a nice to have and that is around text and how an object looks.
- Text font choices aren't bad, but I would prefer some basic, and known fonts. Such as Arial, Helvetica, Proxima Nova, these can help my flows and 'charts' look better and possibly allow me to get my point across.
- Text rendering is usually not bad, but at times I want to scroll in/out and I believe, the antialiasing or the text-shadow makes the font something hard to read, and it looks bad.
- The post-it note icon, should function like an easy to add note, and I think it does, but the text could be nice to display at the top left. Additionally, when I create new shapes, the font starts centered in the middle. To make the font start in the top left corner, albeit it's probably not what the shape/text or app itself is intended for, but I wish it were easier to set the font to the top left, and then pad the element.
- Wishlist: Be able to move my tools around into their own elements/boxes, like in Adobe Photoshop.

Flows for my company's application, and also I like to use it to create notes that can be used for later. Sometimes they are related to meetings I'm in so I like to share to help people get a better sense of what I or others are talking about.

Lucid Charts - actually worth using
What do you like best about the product?
The intelligent features - like snap and auto-aline - actually work as advertised rather than continually getting in the way. The library of customer shapes and graphics makes it easy to make a professional-looking document. the support for UML further streamlines the process of creating complex documents with consistent formatting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features can be a little hard to find - such as the panel for editing the UML. Not all of the interface icons and buttons are self-explanatory - so some experimenting is needed to identify all the available features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are in the process of re-implementing our existing system on a completely new architecture - redesigned from the ground up. We are operating on an aggressive schedule, and although the end goal is quite well defined we are constantly refining and updating our approach based on lessons we are learning along the way. The charts and diagrams generated with LucidChart are a key tool for keeping everyone on the team in sync with the current path forward. We can quickly build and share the documents with the team, use them as a key visual during meetings for identifying and highlighting problem areas, and then quickly update the documents to clearly communicate the adjustments we have agreed upon.

Helps me to introduce technical requirements via diagrams (activity, entity, use cases, requirements, and others), that help developers to better understand the task.

There is no possibility to send a link in a specific block/element/diagram of a file (only a link to a file/page).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
problems related to complex explaining of technical requirements, and how to implement some features in the system.
I love LucidChart for streamlining the workflows for bioinformatics pipelines
What do you like best about the product?
Easily connecting nodes with arrows, diagramming

The arrows are bent in a random way, and with less flexibility to fine-tune.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm pipelining the bioinformatics data processing/analysis workflows. To understand each component of the pipeline and modularize it, LucidChart is really great.
Lucid chart is very user friendly and easy to use.

It is set up to be very intuative, not much training is required to understand the software

No customization of the symbols, although there is plenty to choose from it would be nice to customize somewhat

Using it surprisingly for an infograph layout, made me able to avoid word or powerpoint. More customization

Surprisingly robust yet easy to learn organizational tool
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is actually incredibly easy to catch on to, that was the first thing I noticed/appreciated. That is what makes using it for everything else so easy. It's easy for everyone to access & collaborate which is nice, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it is easy to catch on to, it can at first seem a little overwhelming simply because there's just so much you CAN do with it. (Kind of a double-edged sword)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started mapping things out on a whiteboard and then someone said, I think we can use Lucidspark so we pulled it up and figured it out. Helped us to coordinate a large project that needed a decent amount of planning all in one place without the limitations of an outline structure or spreadsheet.
That was an impressive interaction working with UML Activity Diagram

Connecting between objects is very smooth

It looks like there is problem when I request the access to Lucid chart at the beginning, but it's ok after some days.

Drawing diagram for a business flow. Sub activity is a good option to draw complex diagram.
