Lucid Chart Review

  • March 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We were using Lucid Chart to create organizational charts for our company. It worked great and the charts themselves looked clean and professional. It also integrated with other platforms we used which was helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the organizational charts themselves were a bit difficult to format when you needed to adjust them manually (vs. uploading data via an excel template).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to easily and quickly create company organizational charts. Lucid Chart saved our team a lot of time and effort compared to the time we would have spent creating our organizational charts in PowerPoint or another similar platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check to see if LucidChart integrated with any of your existing platforms.

Lucidchart makes planning fun and easy.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to brainstorm and make process flows because of the color, shape choices, and shortcuts.
What do you dislike about the product?
If a process flow is very detail-oriented and it is a large file as a result, my computer is super slow and sometimes crashes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving building out processes from start to finish. Lucidchart makes it so easy to make shapes different colors and add notes and details to steps.

Easy to Use and Worth the Subscription

  • March 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LucidChart is super easy to use to build flowcharts that allow us to clearly communicate across departments. There are other products out there (including a free one) but they don't hold a candle to how intuitive and easy LucidChart is.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing that I really dislike. I suppose I would appreciate if there were more built-in shape libraries but there are plenty to work with so it's not a major hinderance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily document and communicate workflows to multiple teams. It's clean and easy for all my team members to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Forget the other tools. You've found the easiest and most powerful.

The perfect blend of functionality and ease-of-use. The best app I've been turned onto in years!

What do you like best about the product?
These guys have done an incredible job of taking the best features and logic from a vareity of software platforms and combined them into and super easy to use interface. Think Microsoft Word ease-of-use meets Adobe Illustrator capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a whole lot to dislike. I use all sorts fo different applications for various things and have yet to even dream up something that I wasn't able to do with this app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The collaboration is a HUGE improvement over many other apps that we've tried. Additionally, the eas of finding what you need and easily being ablwe to access features is truly an accomplishment. Inceredible job!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't hesitate. For the pricepoint and what you get, you will not find anything else that even comes close.

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive UX; has the shapes I need (UML).
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of a learning curve for some UI elements/workflows. Doesn't handle logging in to 2 Lucidchart accounts on one computer (would like to copy/paste between accounts)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow and Design documentation. Charts are GREAT for communicating these
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are some UX quirks; when you can't figure out how to do something, review the great docs

Incredibly Effective Tool and Easy to Learn

  • March 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I did not have experience with Lucid Chart before my current role. We didn't have any superusers but just exploring their tutorials helped me pick it up extremely fast. I made a big impression on my management team and have quickly earned myself a reputation as being a Lucid Chart expert on my team. It's extremely helpful for brainstorming, white boarding, process mapping, creating visuals for slideshows, handouts, embedding in webpages, etc. Double whammy - incredibly effective tool and easy to learn!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I get frustrated with formatting. There are a number of tips and tricks to navigate this, but it requires you to both a) know that the tricks exist and b) how to apply them. Sometimes I wind up wasting time on minor formatting hurdles as a result.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use lucid to display process maps of both current and future state to stakeholders and process owners in the business analysis process. These maps are used for sharing knowledge about the process generally as well as by the development team to build a future state solution which matches the requirements and expectations of the process owner.

What do you like best about the product?
UI is intuitive and easy to use. Lucid very clearly displays thoughts/ideas to our prospects and customers and provides details needed to capture important information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing of note to mention that I dislike about Lucid, as I said before it is intuitive and the help section provides great info to solve any challenges on the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complex technical architectures can be easily documented on Lucid and iterated across teams both internal and external.
