Product Manager
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy using Lucidchart to wireframe product design, features, and prototyping. I also use Lucidchart to illustrate data structure and server-side infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Lucidchart could provide me with a better onboarding experience where I would have a more thorough guidance on setting up everything on my account and getting started.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a product manager, I mainly use Lucidchart to wireframe product design that reflects my vision and strategy for the feature. Lucidchart is a great intermediary tool that I use to wireframe my idea as part of the product requirement document that I submit for designers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using Lucidchart's learning center better learn about all the tools available before getting started.
Great functionality for charts and P&IDs and easy to collaborate
What do you like best about the product?
How multiple people can work on a chart a once and how it predicts where you want connecting lines well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes certain illustrations can not be moved to an exact area of the screen. You must delete and redraw to get it where you want. Rare but it happens.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are collaborating with a team to create flow diagrams
Fits the needs perfectly for collaborative work
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can actively work on mapping and show the value in showing the current and possible future states of our projects. Being able to convey this visually is key to gaining an understanding to what should be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I am unable to give more editing permissions if working with custom objects to the people whom I share with and are not yet active users in Lucidchart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am doing workflow and business process mapping for software tools and integrations. Lucidchart helps in mapping step by step the process that needs to be built and how it ties back together with high level view that is easy to edit and see what it can effect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do what you can to be collaborative.
10/10 recommend for all your PM and organizational needs

Implementing project management tools in my current role
Great site for chart creation
What do you like best about the product?
In a day, I created beautiful org charts for our teams. It was short, painless, and the formatting made it look like a professional put these together. LucidChart made me look good, and I will use them again for future projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
NA - LucidChart met all of the needs I had and was intuitive and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization didn't have streamlined org charts, so each team had a different template and structure. By using LucidChart, I was able to create a standardized template for our teams.
Intuitive yet powerful!
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart's wide variety of templates and additional resources made learning the basics of the program (or at least enough to get started) easy and painless. The cleanliness of an in-browser experience is also a plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Lucidchart can be a bit resource-heavy in terms of the memory my browser's using, but that may just be me. Overall, I find there's very little to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart's by far my favorite way to create data flow diagrams (DFDs) and easily share them both within & outside my organization.
Lucidchart Installation, Implementation and Integration
What do you like best about the product?
My remoted-based team is incredibly impressed with Lucidcharat. We work in a high-intensity environment with deadlines. I had to create a few flow charts on a very tight deadline. While my team was very familiar with Visio, I ultimately decided to try out Lucidchart, and boy did I make the right decision. My team, more familiar with Visio, ultimately decided they too prefer Lucidchart because of its ease and user-friendly experience. I was so impressed with the free version I ultimately decided to pay for a Lucidchart membership to unlock more of the software's capabilities. My company is currently contemplating subscribing to a corporate membership for all of my colleagues to use Lucidchart.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that when making a flowchart, I cannot add "step-numbers" to each element on the flow chart easily. I can create my own "icon" to achieve a "step-number"; however, I would like a function that allows for me to quickly tag the steps in chronological order should I choose to add steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can quickly develop a flow chart and work remotely with my colleagues during a working session. Everyone is incredibly impressed. I am also very impressed with Lucidchart's adaptability and ability to integrate with so many of the software that my team uses in our day-to-day operations: Office 365, Teams, Zoom, PowerPoint, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend teams who need to diagram quickly use Lucidchart. You can import graphs and charts from any office 365 product, Visio, zoom, anything, and everything. I would recommend Lucidchart to most anyone.
Lucid for DevOps
What do you like best about the product?
A single feature is difficult. For me I I love the living, calaborative document that helps evolve an idea in a language that all stakeholders can read. Lucid's ability to handle copy and paste is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to create a one time meeting where all folks (even those without a license) can come together to collaborate. Ideally we can give temporary, one time access and have a streamlined flow to do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My teams are focused on technical challenges. We use lucid to illustrate and zoom in on very specific functions and flows. I've used it to also illustrate process, giving everyone a good organizational understanding.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn to import your own shapes. Ask for feedback from your team
Supremely easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how responsive the web application is. It feels very snappy and fun to use as if it's a desktop application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far! The software is so easy to use and has a bunch of templates that make it really easy to get started!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it mainly for diagraming complex systems and brainstorming. It's just really easy to make changes with multiple people concurrently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They have a free tier so jump right in and play around with the diagraming. The app is very intuitive for this!
Easy to use and the templates make it even easier
What do you like best about the product?
I love the templates that they have created and make available. This is usually my starting point, I search for a template that closely fits what I am looking to do and use that as my jumping-off point. I have Visio as part of my Office365 package, but I find Lucid so much easier to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit nitpicky, but it would be great if there was a Save As option when you are working in a chart. If I'm working on a chart and think that it could be relevant, with changes, to another project I'm working on I would like to just click Save As and save it to another project folder. As of now I only see a Save option when working with charts. Once saved I can go back to the home page/dashboard and move the chart to the folder I want to save it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to quickly diagram out business processes and workflows gives a visual representation that everyone involved in the project can quickly see and understand.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are frustrated with Visio, you need to give Lucidchart a try.
