Illustration simplified

  • November 30, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The basic version is free. As a student, it comes in very handy for creating diagrams and flowcharts for Uni projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the tools are great, it only allows me to access three of my latest diagrams or flowcharts which at times can be a pain. I know it's a free version which has this limitation but maybe five could have made my life better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think it is solving the illustration and diagraming problems by modern and online tools. The best part is that it's all in the cloud, so you don't have to worry about loosing your data ever again.

Simple process demonstration by quarter

  • November 29, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The auto snap of objects and the menus of applicable items.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of a quarterly template in columns and how the sizing will snap to anything except what I want it to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly create a visual without hours of effort

White board which is visually appealing for integration and data flow diagrams

  • November 29, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LucidSpark is more modern, visually appealing, white board is better as it has a dotted pattern and not grid lines, new and improved templates, overall a better offering than lucid chart
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of shapes are less as compared to lucid chart. It has more dynamic shapes and figures and icons, but when it comes to designing a classic workflow and/or data flow diagram, we have to come back to lucid chart
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My primary job is to make high-level design documents for cross-sell implementations and Lucid spark does the work for me.
It helps my customers to visualize data flow and have a better understanding of to be processes

Lucidchart is easy to use

  • November 28, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Themes and templates are easy to use. I appreciate the preset sizes and arrows and how straight forward it is to add or remove an employee from an organizational chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that some aspects can not be customized, like layout. There is also an added hassle with importing data is it is not up to Lucidcharts specific standards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart is saving us time by making organizational charts straight forward to design and download. This means we can spend less time inputting the information and more time making diagrams that will help those throughout out company.

My favorite whiteboard for brainstorming and collaboration.

  • November 28, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The software is simple to understand and use. A clean design with standard whiteboard features (post-it notes, a freeform drawing pen, and some basic shapes) and extras (emoji reactions, voting, and a timer). Consider Lucidchart without the additional interface elements. With Lucidchart's excellent export to Lucidchart feature, you can convert your freehand drawings into editable shapes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be fantastic if Spark could intelligently convert a freehand graph into a flowchart, but it would also be nice to have some basic flowchart capabilities. The voting feature is complex, but it has a lot of potentials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some people will only use their preferred whiteboard app and refuse to try alternatives such as Lucidchart, but almost all of our employees use it. My remote team has been able to meet and plan our next steps even when the office is closed, thanks to virtual whiteboarding.

Excellent option for collaboration tool

  • November 28, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly; templates are easy and lots are available
What do you dislike about the product?
Board importing is in beta and is only for pdfs; look forward to having this be more robust
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a collaboration tool available by Lucid allows our company to budget better for a single tool rather than multiple ones. Our team is able to work together to solve problems, create RACIs, etc in a shared space.

What do you dislike about the product?
Connecting objects together is sometimes a struggle, but once you get the hang of it, it gets much more fluent
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating easy-to-understand diagrams to share with customers and colleagues.
Quickly create flowcharts visualizing the flow of a business solution or application.

An amazing tool for collaboration, ideation and process flow generation!

  • November 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hands down - the smooth user experience and collaborative tools. It has something for everyone on the team; people can get on a call and bounce ideas off of each other. I like that it doesn't have a high learning curve; the tools are self-explanatory, and you can easily find the most commonly used tools right before you.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing on the top of my mind would be easier integration of data and changing the charts/elements. Not necessarily a deal-breaker, but maybe we can have a few more fonts and switch between modes (dark/light/grey) too?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using LS for ideation on designs for our enterprise product lines. We also conduct design studios with other teams and benefit from simple UI to generate product strategies, wireframes, site maps etc.

I think it's the best general purpose diagramming tool

  • November 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its versatility allows me to create many kinds of diagrams. I don't have to purchase many tools to create different kinds of diagrams. This makes it the best value compared to the competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it's a general-purpose diagramming tool, it lacks certain features. For example, when generating DDL (SQL) from an ERD diagram, there's no validation nor the ability to generate relationships between entities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a software architect, I often need to create diagrams or visualization to convey my ideas, especially to non-tech-savvy stakeholders. Lucidchart allows me to create easy-to-understand diagrams very fast.

    Computer Networking

Lucid is a far better design tool than anything else I have used in the past and easy to use.

  • November 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The menus are straightforward to navigate, and the amount of different symbols and network diagrams you have available make designing your networks a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some instances where the arrow tool became very unresponsive and not easy to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are regularly using Lucid to design a new and existing network infrastructure and we love how easily we can integrate this with our confluence network documentation
