Very intuitive and easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
There is a plethora of good templates already in the system ready to be used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at the moment. Maybe there could be more icon packages added?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am diagramming and process flow. It allows you to visualize complex processes simply.
A valuable tool to make diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the tool is easy to use in software development or functional descriptions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are not available when I write this review, specifically those related to drawing block diagrams related to continuous/discrete transfer functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use as a tool for making functional block diagrams. I can save time when using the tool.
Effective space for collaboration and creativity
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that this program allows me to express and present ideas, organize thoughts, and collaborate with my teammates for brainstorming or project management
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, using the software requires constant manual input on the part of the user. It would be helpful if the program were able to predict which shape I'm trying to use, etc. There are times when using the program becomes more tedious than helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personally, I use Lucidspark as a canvas for working out my own thought processes, as well as to organize information or plans that I have. Professionally, I use it to demonstrate concepts to my teams, or to encourage active participation from members about how to approach different problems or new ideas.
Great for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It's great for collaborating with colleagues. We are using it for all team meetings and brainstorming
What do you dislike about the product?
When I tried the free version it wasn't obvious that I could only use limited number of objects. It was frustrating that I ran out of them in a meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created a capability map which is used by many departments
Very helpful templates for making easy to produce diagram
What do you like best about the product?
Using the program is fairly intutive. This makes diagramming using their built-in templates very easy to use. Thus far, I have made timelines and org chart, and using Lucid chart, without a doubt, made the process significantly more manageable than it would have been had I attempted without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain limitations by the templates provided. When creating an org chart, it did not seem possible to show any individual reporting to 2 separate people. You can only tag them to 1 supervisor. Thus I found myself adding a second "line" to the final product in paint since I was unable to show one person reporting upward to two within the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart definitely makes it easy to produce easy to read infographics with the templates they provide. The tool definitely is a time saver when it comes to making various diagrams without a design background.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I overall find the product very useful.
Lucidchart is an awesome tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart has many templates to use that make building what you need easy. Included with these templates are instructional videos and pages to help you learn how to use the template.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the templates tend to be less flexible than I wish they were. However, this is part of the automation built into the template and is understandable. I can always work around the inflexibility once I become comfortable with the template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Lucidchart to create a large number of work breakdown structures for projects, as well as organizational charts. These products have helped me build excellent project plans, and allowed me to provide more visibility into project work and project charters, enabling project teams and executive teams to visualize project requirements and deliverables.
Great for Departmental Process Mapping
What do you like best about the product?
The maps are easy to create. The maps can contain various colors to make different sections of the map stand out. In a laboratory environment, the Maps are a great way to map each process to aid with new staff training
What do you dislike about the product?
When the maps are large for quite complex processes, the formatting of the maps can take a long time and can be pretty fiddly to get right. The free version of this software should provide more freedom of app use before the user has to purchase premium. I felt like I couldn't benefit from the free version to get a good feel for the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have processed mapped laboratory processes to provide aid for internal staff training, including creating flow charts for each method within the laboratory. These maps are not only beneficial for new starters but have been beneficial for laboratory staff who don't necessarily perform the task often.
The could-based Visio alternative that checks all the boxes
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart makes it extremely easy to visualize information quickly and effectively. I'm consistently impressed the more that I learn about the tool and have come to use it as a part of my daily work personally and professionally.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frankly , the only part of the product that I don't love is the experience of creating and using custom images / icons. I wish that a brand's core content (logos, ect) could be shared across all chart creation environments without having to manually enable that library within each new chart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to get better visibility into daily processes and deveiefs from meetings. I'm certainly more productive coming out of beings as the whole group has been aligned on what actually needs to be done, in a visual format. This doesn't replace traditional project tracking, but makes brainstorming that much easier.
Excellent tool for collaborative diagramming
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid chart provides a fast, easy-to-use tool for collaborating and charting. We use it regularly for designing and mapping logic flows in our software.
What do you dislike about the product?
It begins to bog down my browser when having many tabs open.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Lucid Chart primarily for mapping out logical flows for front-end and back-end software development.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As far as charting solutions are concerned, Lucid Chart seems to tick all the boxes.
Quick and Easy Diagramming, Easy Collaboration with Embedding on Confluence, etc.
What do you like best about the product?
I loved the integrated ability to embed a diagram on confluence for easy viewing and collaboration. Teammates can open the chart and edit it themselves!
What do you dislike about the product?
There was definitely a learning curve and my first chart took longer than I had hoped, but once I got the hang of it, the next one went more smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving communication between engineers and management about a new product that has some ambiguity.
