What do you like best about the product?
The work platform is straight forward and easy to use. Very easy to collaborate with members of my team. Easy to import and export product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Free version is a little limited with available graphics and can't share easily with people not on Lucidchart
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Work flow was solved much quicker. Other teammates were able to edit in real time while working remote with me.

I found Lucid super useful for story mapping

  • May 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I found the possibility to import/export Jira tickets extremely useful.
I also like a big choice of templates we can use for different purposes, especially when brainstorming ideas or creating a roadmap.
We also quite often use the voting option as it helps with decision-making while removing several human biases.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the number of people exceeds 10 collaborators, the tools sometimes do not work as intended (it freezes and moves back and forth parts of the board)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We perform impact mapping, story mapping, and brainstorming mostly. All activities where visual collaboration is needed.

Great for virtual collaborations

  • May 14, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
That this connects people in our virtual world and provides a space for quick brainstorming sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much buy-in from folks that had never used this product. Were overwhelmed if they were new to it so hard to start a new meeting to conduct a brainstorming session with those unfamiliar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outlining processes to identify 'waste'. It provides that whiteboard brainstorming session that is missing in our virtual world now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In our new world it's so hard to have great, productive, efficient brainstorming sessions with everyone at the table contributing. Lucidspark provides that space and allows the team to come together and converse, vote, draw out their thoughts on any project or process that is being reviewed.

Lucidchart is currently king.

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidcharts cloud based platform - Due to Lucidchard being a fully cloud based software tool, I am able to initiate diagramming projects on any operating system, using any web browser and device type of choice.

Collaboration - Lucidchart has changed the way I work together with my team, by making it possible for me to co-author charts , process maps etc, add comments on team diagrams , exchange chat-messages with team-mates whilst we are all working on a diagramming project in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps, I will like Lucidchart to provide me with more templates, which cut across multiple use cases. At the current time, Lucidcharts template libraries only cover an handful of use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart enable me create charts and process maps, which I use in mitigating risks and identifying gaps within my organizations existing structures and processes.

    Management Consulting

I love Lucidspark

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and how similar it is to Visio yet you can use one document to include a plethora of information, like a brain dump that makes it simple to understand large complex problems in one space. I like all the options from strategic planning to swim lanes and mindmaps are features I use the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I dont like about Lucidspark is the usability on my iPad. The program works way better on my desktop. The mindmap on my ipad drives me crazy cause it isnt as easy and it doesnt look the same to me. Maybe it's user error but I have spent a lot of time and wasted a lot of time before just doing mind maps on my desktop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucidspark to solve communication problems and realized thebenefits of having many different elements in one place rather than in several documents all in different places.

    Outsourcing/Offshoring

It's very easy to learn the functionality, everything is basically drag and drop.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be tricky to get all your lines and arrows to line up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to clearly document process flows.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to draw a system design with no limits on size
What do you dislike about the product?
The file storage. Would prefer a way to store directly in a repo
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
System design

Intuitive and time-saver

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy how seamless the Jira integration is. It is perfect for doing story mappings. You can easily create your tasks within the tool and have a perfectly structured mapping with your epics and issues created as you go.
It is perfect for doing Design Thinking exercises online.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be beneficial to have an icon/image library or pre-defined libraries for a faster definition of ideas and layouts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that is solved is the online collaboration nowadays, where primarily everyone is working from home, and we don't have a whiteboard we can all brainstorm together. Lucidspark is an outstanding representation of that digital whiteboard.

It just works

What do you like best about the product?
Collaborating remotely with a dozen people is not easy, but thanks to Lucidspark, we can work together on one screen simultaneously. I have seen a lot of benefit to our sprint review meetings thanks to Lucidspark and it's ability to allow us to actually show eachother what we are thinking rather than just trying to describe it. It's ability to organize our voting and compliment a teams call has been fabulous.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user experience isn't the best; most features seem to be locked behind menus that are hard to navigate and the zoom function is tied to the scroll wheel which doesn't always function as expected on a Mac, which is a common design problem for web apps or pc apps with a mac version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the recent world problems, many of us are working remotely now that were not before. In-office, we could crowd around a whiteboard and discuss, this style of brainstorming is much harder to do remotely, but Lucidspark has helped fix that problem by giving a virtual equivalent of that shared space. We can virtually crowd around "a whiteboard" and fill it with ideas, erase, create, replace, reason, and think about.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it out! Nobody knows your use case as well as you do, and you can get started with Lucidspark for free! So try it out for yourself and see if it can help you brainstorm by yourself or with a team. We found it especially helpful for larger team meetings when collaborating over voice is difficult just because of the number of people. It provides another avenue to express ourselves and work together.
