What do you like best about the product?
The Collaboration that comes from our teams using this software is great! Ease of use to get up and running during a thinking session is a joy! The support that we have received from the Lucid team is top notch
What do you dislike about the product?
As one of the Admins, their Admin portal is not the greatest from a UI perspective and every click opens a new tab in our browser which I find irritating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamwork and problem solving during meetings

Great for collaboration, sharing ideas and working with a team

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like working on new ideas and collaborating with others using Lucidspark. The JIRA integration is a great idea. And so are the built in templates like scorecards, affinity diagrams, SWOT analysis, Kanban board, roadmap, etc. The templates give you a great head start on many of the common tasks and save you a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike. It has so many great features. I really find it very useful when trying to document ideas with a group of other people. I guess one of the downsides is that you can get quite dependent on this tool, which is not necessarily a bad thing :-)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think it provides a great platform to work with your team and exchange ideas, organize thoughts, etc. It can be used when you want to conceptualize something by putting your ideas on a whiteboard and collaborating with others. This process really gives you synergy by working with a bunch of other peple from your team(s).

Lucidspark in the Classroom

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is a solution for providing students with virtual, blank, collaborative whiteboard space. I appreciate that students can collaborate together by sharing or brainstorming ideas, express themselves creatively by using all of Spark's tools, create a whiteboard that communicates ideas in a visual manner, and encourages students to think critically as they work. This is a tool that effectively allows students to use the 4 C's on problems in all subject areas.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had some difficulty with a whole class working on the same Lucidspark document. It seems to get overloaded if there are too many students working at once. When
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Lucidspark with English, Social Studies, and Science classes.

Easy to use white board solution

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That there's a white board solution that has enough flexibility to do sticky notes, free hand drawing and shapes that helps with collaboration and discussion. I also likes it comes with templates and it's not over complicated. I also find that sharing really easy with the link.
What do you dislike about the product?
For now the only thing I find inconvenient is that it's a seperate license than Lucid Chart and that there is no access for guests to edit (someone who doesn't have a license)
Many of my team members have Lucid Chart licenses, and we would have to request another license for Lucid Spark. it makes entry of use a bit more tedious. do wish there was an option to allow edits to a board for guests. It does happen that in my meetings/workshop I would have someone added last minute and they don't have the license because I didn't plan for it. In this case the tool becomes not so useful for collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I regularly run team retrospective and that's a highly collaborative session. I often need a tool that allows me to design exercise that can create meaningful conversation. I have found that with the right tool it has helped decrease my preparation time and increase my productivity. It's much easier to have meetings ready without always trying to find something that works.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've tried multiple whiteboard solutions. From Google Jamboard, Miro, LucidChart, and Microsoft Whiteboard.
Lucidspark is for users who need something that acts like a real whiteboard and easy to use remotely.

What do you like best about the product?
How easily you can organize information in a live meeting and how that information can easily be transformed or used in a presentation

That I could not convince my boss to extent our current license. We are about to start a new project so a new free trial could help me to prove the value of the product to the company
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interaction in meetings with multiple participants

Lucidspark is a great tool for operational development!

  • April 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that LucidCharts offers robust templates to meet a wide variety of scenarios. I also really like the chart implications that are provided in the template previews. Another feature I really like are the various export and publishing options and how easy it is to share diagrams with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate that the data interface is only available on the paid plan. The requirement to upgrade for this feature wouldn't be as much of an issue if I were part of a larger organization as the cost to upgrade wouldn't be as much of a factor. Ideally, LucidChart would offer an in-between plan for small businesses. Another feature I feel is lacking in the plan I have is the ability to create a sliding progress tracker. From what I have seen, the only way to do this is to use a shape as the ticker and manually slide it to show progress. I would like to be able to have a data responsive ticker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LucidCharts to support efforts to improve organizational infrastructure. The main functionalities used provide internal operational support for Process mapping, Quarterly milestone tracking, and visualizing abstract concepts with a team. I plan to continue my use of LucidCharts to create org charts and my needs will likely continue to expand as time progresses.

The perfect visual tool to help our remote team collaborate and plan

  • April 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Getting started with a board is really easy. You can simply share a URL with team members and onboarding them is simple. The shapes and menus are intuitive and enable myself and my team to begin collaborating on a number of projects right away. Together we've facilitated strategic meetings with our board, hosted brand strategy workshops, completed vision timelines and mapped out all of our customer personas and JTBD frameworks. I am also a big fan of the unlimited canvas size meaning you can include multiple visualisations within the one canvas just by zooming in and out. The templates are also handy for some of the less obvious visualisations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some handy tools in the menu that can organise your thoughts, like containers, that feel as though they are hidden, or could be more obvious. The icon doesnt really explain what the feature does so it's easy to gloss over in favour of some of the simpler shapes. In fact you could spend your entire time on the baords collaborating using the postit note shape without ever using anything else.

I'd love access to more boards on the free version too. As a small business the paid version is beyond our price point, so perhaps an easier to access plan for businesses like us would be helpful.

Lastly, if you are running Lucidspark on your browser on your laptop it uses a huge amount of energy and drains your battery very quickly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an office based team that has been working remotely now for over a year. Using the lucid boards have enabled us to replicate the kind of team ideas generation sessions we are used to having at the real white board in the office. I am now using the boards to visually map out, present and share strategic plans. Lastly, we have onboarded 4 new team members that we have never met during lockdown. I have been using the boards to onboard them, walking them through org charts and strategies and plans that are continuosly evolving.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have never used any kind of boards like this and are really missing a way to bring all of your ideas together along with your team then Lucidspark is going to be a really excellent addition to your tool kit. I have also found it is an excellent way to enable every member of the team to get interactive and no-one is left silent in a meeting.
