Great collaboration tool with useful templates and easy to use functionalities

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how the collaborative editing enables folks to work together in an entirely virtual space while seeing each other changes and the live voting options, making meetings a lot more of an organic effort in a virtual world. I also really like to use the knowledge articles databases and the different business cases. There is an impressive amount of available templates that will help with all phases of the project lifecycle. It goes from brainstorming mind maps to process and business modeling to data components and technicals symbols
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that some of the visuals are pretty simplistic and outdated, while some of them are great graphically, maybe more consistency might help when designing. The sticky note is the basic format for the tool, which is appropriate for generations that used stickies for everything, but maybe less relevant to younger generations. There is so dynamic linking, but it is definitely not a presentation ready tool unless you spend some time really cleaning the space up. It does help making it look more casual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are collating together information from siloed business departments and presenting a standardized view of processes and systems. This tool has helped while facilitations workshops, and enable people to add ideas and directly participate in the effort, which in turn improved morale and results. I would recommend it most for informal sessions, workshops, or for physically distanced teams.
I would also recommend using breakout rooms if there is more than 8-10 people working at a time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get a trial license and give it a try; if you have a lucid chart account, the trial is worth it. It is not a tool for every situation, but it is a good one to have in your toolbox, particularly for workshops or more casual meetings where visual help would help the discussion.

    Management Consulting

A fantastic tool for collaboration. Shines with external clients.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, and a polished interface. The simplicity is key when inviting external users to interact. The templates help to speed adoption and are a great spark of inspiration when needed. The cost is in-line with what is expected and bundled with LucidCharts is a great value.
The template feature is very valuable for our knowledge management and to improve our workflows. Working with teams is now much more fluid and we are able to capture in realtime all of the input.
What do you dislike about the product?
On its own it is neck and neck with Mural, I'd like increased interoperability with LucidCharts to launch it ahead in functionality, not just value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use lucidspark when engaging remotely with teams whiteboard style. Given the new normal of so many remote folks, I'm solving the problem of recovering face to face interraction value.

What do you like best about the product?
Real-time collaboration and data linking with excess
What do you dislike about the product?
When using this application, if I have additional tab on any of my projects it will being to slow. This is often cumbersome enough for me to have to switch enviornments (from my work comupter to my personal comupter) to help mitigate this.

I'd also like to see more integrations avaliable and few more features related these integration
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To be determined. I Currently have not used lucidspark with enough frequence to give an answer that'd be satified with enough to place here.

Best whiteboard experience out there.

  • April 14, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
The user experience is quite friendly and easy to learn. There are no big learning curve or feeling that there are missing features. This is a great collaborative tool that permits us to work together during conference call (mainly on teams for us).

We tried many other software in the past couple months and none of them where as polished as Lucidspark.
What do you dislike about the product?
There doesn't seem to be a free version like LucidChart. It is hard to recomended to other because there aren't any limited (not in time) version that you can use.

Lucidspark should have a free version of the software available to everyone without a time limit, like it's big brother. I have a access with work to the software but outside of that, it's not possible for me to access it or to recommend to anyone outside of big organization. I have a few situation where it would be ideal but decided to use a lesser service because it was not possible to at least see if it would be meeting the requirement.

And no, a "Time limited" trial isn't convincing at all. Nobody like those. This is very 1990's like.

Make it available to everyone, cut down on the number of features available by default if you're not a paid subscriber. Also, you should have non-business customer pricing as well. I believe there are people who would pay for a service like this and I'd probably be one if it was reasonable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamwork during online conference call. All sharing idea and participating.

There isn't anything specific I can put here. We just use it during discussion to make the conversation more visual. We already do it with Lucidchart since we're able to see other people move around on the software.

It just apply in situation where a chart isn't in question. Brainstorming and such.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't have any tips per say. The tool is pretty easy to use by itself and doesn't require training of any kind.

I had access to the tool for a short while myself and could create board and use it. However, we have limited number of license and mine was redistributed to someone else for now. I can still access others board.

The only tip I could give is "don't think too much about the tool and more about the idea. The tool is only a helper in getting there."

Professional - Easy to Use

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Professional looking Boards for white boarding, ease of use and UI similar to Lucid Charts, Integration with Microsoft Teams. Being a part of the Lucid name helps as it is a familiar name with good reputation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cant think of anything specific but perhaps more product usage demo videos will help to learn advance features and reduce the learning and adoption curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidSpark has been helpful during lock down and lack of co-location of the team.

Abilility to collaborate remotely can be challenging and visual aids like digital boards help greatly- Lucid sparks helps when white boarding technical or roadmap discussions, sprint retrospectives is the major benefit.

Lucidspark Review

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and intuitive. It is highly customizable, and really like that you can use images of the devices I usually use.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I enjoy the fact that the lines click to objects, at times I need those lines to be more adjustable, sometimes I need it inside the devices instead on the oustide snappoints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I architect solutions, I use Lucid draw it out - that allows me to see pitfalls I might face. Also, when I bring in any Viso apps it distorts it a bit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I apprecaite this app and use it constatnly. If you just want to use it for Visio, just know it will distort it a bit.
