What do you like best about the product?
I love how simple and intuitive it is to use. I felt that there was no learning curve, and the software could aid me in the process instead of me having to fight it. I wasn't sure how to best approach the topic, as there are multiple agencies, and many localities, along with state and federal players. However, I got a tip from another non-profit that they had used the same tool, so I gave it a shot. And I loved it right from the get-go. I had such a complex chart, and so much happening, that I really appreciated how all of the arrows/links stayed attached to the banners/boxes as I moved them around. I had go through quite a bit of rearranging and reorganization to get the chart to handle all of the information in a intuitive, readable, and understandable way.
What do you dislike about the product?
When making complex charts, sometimes the arrows do not snap correctly to the boxes/banners. It takes some zooming and finagling to get it to attach/snap properly. While I was able to make it work in the end, I would love a few more default color options, or perhaps different palletes to make large charts more readable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Lucidspark to map out the relationship between our localities here in Richmond and their ties to the various transit agencies in the region. The map has become quite complex - with over 20 players and five agencies! It has been a first-of-its-kind approach to understanding a region's transit governance.

Good for Design Moodboards
What do you like best about the product?
It's a very large space to work, so I can place many, many images, some at very high resolution. It also uses controls similar to those of Adobe products, so navigation is easy. It's a good user interface too. Clean, simple, I like the dot grid in the background. Browsing the templates was easy, and I found them to helpful, even if I hardly used them. Good Stuff.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is picky, but the alighment tools are finniky or not sufficient. This many not matter to some people though. As a design I guess this matters?
Hyperlinks are annoying and finniky sometimes, but maybe that's just me. For those unfamilar with keyboard shortcuts, maybe a short guide would be appropriate? Depents on the user. Most of us are not technologically inept.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using it for design moodboards. As mentioned above, it's large enough that I never feel scramped. When you're making moodboards, you need to share it with others to get your ideas across. I share the board with my design peers, so that we're always on the same page during our project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can use opt + drag to duplicate objects, like text, images, stickies, etc. All your commands you're familiar with in word processors, presentation tools, or Adobe products will work here. Which is amazing for me. If you're unfamilar with the keyboard commands, look them up. I took a look at the templates, and while I didn't use any, they appear to be of high quality and useful.
Very intuitive to use, great for quick slideshows.
What do you like best about the product?
I particularly appreciate how easy it is to create anything from scratch at light speed.
It is also very convenient for small team collaboration.

What do you dislike about the product?
It scales pretty poorly with the number of concurrent users.
The containers' feature could benefit from improvements, as well as the catalog of templates. Containers sometimes feel a bit clunky to use.

Just what I needed
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark was the perfect tool for a team project because of the interactive "whiteboard" feature. We could see the team participating in an important team function in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, at this time I haven't found anything I "dislike", yet. I continue to click around the site and learn more about features that we can use on Lucidspark. The learning curve is minimal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our project required interactivity across the world. Meeting over video and making notes to follow up in email was no ideal. Our team gathered through another program to be able to hear and see each other and ALSO logged in to Lucidspark to tackle our project together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is no reason to NOT try Lucidspark. Their free services will give you the tools you need to brainstorm, problem-solve, plan and execute.
